31.  It is a Divine Victory
Mohamad ,   Dahieh, Lebanon   (09.05.06)
#30 my dear, Israel has to sacrifice a lot things starting by the two captive soldiers and it ends up by the Israelis dream to be the Policeman of the Middle east. Launching attacks on Lebanon or Syria is not an easy Journey anymore. look I recommend you to start think and quickly about a fair compromise with the arabs unless beleive me your future is not brightning and the 34 day war was a proof
32. So much monkey-talk, so little real discussion
Andrew ,   US   (09.05.06)
Wow - much chest pounding and crotch-flashing going on here..... Everyone is in the wrong. Israel - in the wrong. Jews should examine the Kaballah, and abandon Zionism as a failed ideology. It is poisoning the world against them. Hezbollah - in the wrong. They should know better than to poke a starving tiger. Their country paid the price in blood. US - IN THE WRONG for supporting and perpetuating this conflict for their own selfish, energy-hungry needs.

"Maintaining the triumph is always more difficult than gaining it..." What triumph exactly ? Are you suggesting that the road ahead is more difficult than all the lives lost, families dispossessed, businesses and infrastructure destroyed , deprivation of medical services and constant fear of bombs ? Are you mad sir ? Surely while your organization was assisting in the construction of schools and clinics and it was giving aid to widows you would have had cause to a legitimate sense of self worth. These are honourable intentions. The construction of defensive fortifications also has merit. Sadly when you decide to cross the border of an adversary mightier than yourself and kidnap two of its citizens you cross over from into the realm of the offensive. Your only victory is in having brought upon death and destruction and planting the seed of hatred in the hearts of men. This is a very real victory that should not be underestimated . Man should be repentant of his transgressions, not gloat over them. You stated in a lengthy interview that you were surprised by Israel's reaction, that never in the history of war had such an occurence ever taken place. Perhaps the people of Lebanon would be better served by a leader that is more versed in history. Crossing international borders and forcibly taking men who are in the service of "defending" their nation is an act of war. Would you hold to the mendacious claim of disproportionality because it was only two? Have you forgotten Franz Ferdinand ? Yet you continue to incite by claiming no one can " send calming messages to Israel ". If the Zionist state is as evil as you would have people believe, why then would you instruct your followers to aggravate it ? In my country others would dismiss your rhetoric as something coming from the east end of a cow going west. But I want you to remember a time before this war when you were actually doing something for the good of your people. Unless you are a miscreant, you must know in the quiet of your own heart that your hubris will only bring about destruction. I wish you strength and humility to act honourably.
35. that was a good deal eh?

This war was against innocent Civilians from both Sides. Shia's were targetted by IDF and who ever was in the missle ranges have paid the price in Northern communities. This war was started to finish off Hizbullah and to bring back the captured Soldiers, still Hizbullah have the missles in control and Hizbullah can regroup and rearm again coz Syrian borders are opened.NO achievements for Israel. Hizbullah is still in control of Southern Lebonan even after the UN forces are there.UN forces will leave lebonan if 15 or 20 soldiers are killed either by Hizbullah or Israel. World community forced Israel for ceasefire and Israeli Govt accepted that in pressure Hizbullah resisted all the month hitted many Merkava around 50 Being an Organization of some thousands Hizbullah fighted well and still have the capacity to fight the ME most powerful army IDF. Its hard for Israelis to accept that in real it is the failure of Olmert Govt and IDF. 520 Hizbullah fighters are killed by IDF , does it change anything? even if IDF killed Nasrullah , some one else will be the leader of Hizbullah and continue the same things. Israel even having all the weapons , air force , navy and even nukes but its not able to flush out Hizbullah or Palestinians. Using nukes against a conventional arms enemy , will not achieve any thing but the isolation of Israel in world. Its only the lost of humanity if Nukes are used by Israel against Iran or Syria or lebonan or any other country.
