Israel lost the second Lebanon war where its objectives were to get its prisoners back without negotiation (it's now facing negotiation) and to end the Hezbullah threat, which is probably going to be worse in a year than it's ever been. Israel also lost the recent war in Gaza in that it stated its objectives were to get back its prisoner without negotiating with terrorists, and it is negotiating with terrorists even as you read this.
