6. As long as Israel keeps entangled
Keren ,   Sao Paulo   (09.08.06)
with Abbas;as long as Israel keeps obeying any foreign country better than itself;as long as Israel keeps "talking"to Arab Leagues, nothing will improve, but rather get worse and worse. This suicidal vicious circle must be broken. The results of these kinds of "talks"have been seen through the years and they have represented only failure for Israel.Israel dangerously shrinked;terrorism got worse;Israel weakened. If Israel's actual government keeps in the actual political path ,it means that it is obeying the Jihad agenda to exterminate itself through suicide ,joint to external terrorist homicide. This must urgently be changed.Israeli People must act to change it.

9. Missiles to Hezbollah = missiles to the Chechnyan rebels
Alex ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.08.06)
Unbelievable how can the Russians be so hypocrites. Their missiles were intensively used by Hezbollah, which means that instead of stabilizing the region the Russians DESTABILIZE the Middle East. Moreover, the Russian refusal to join forcers with USA and Europe against the Iranian nuclear bomb(s) would lead to DESTABILIZATION of the entire world. I wonder what would Putin and Lavrov say if we sell weapon to the Chechnyan rebels? Alex, Jerusalem Israel

11. Dead End
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.08.06)
Comissions ,Investigations, meetings, resolution's always end up accomplishing the same thing . Weakening Israel and strengthening those intent on Israel's destruction. The Russians knew all along where their anti-tank missiles were going. It's only the stupid Israeli politicians who trust in the international community to come to Israel's rescue who are blind and clueless. Why do Israeli voters vote for their dumbest and most incompetent to lead them ?

mo ,   montreal,Qc   (09.08.06)
is it the same world who you said that they have no business with Israel to stop the attack on lebanon? you were lords back then thinking you are heading for a victory. beg now, and ask for help, it's your habbit to do so when you fail doing something.. and don't forget to shed some tears, but your soldiers will never return unless you let prisoners go to their families.

What a joke they are going to investigate what themselves . The russians sold the arms to syria for monetary gain and antisemtic reasons. You gonna have me believe that the russians didnt know the weapons would wind up in hizzboullah hands tell me another story. Wake up Jewish community around the world Iran is getting stronger while the whole world is complasent. I know russia gonna investigate itself as well with all the arms they sell iran to . these countries are antisemtic swine all of them .
20. Arms ended up in Lebanon
Hilda ,   USA   (09.08.06)
What did the Russians think would happen to their arms? They sold it to Syria knwing it would kill Israelis. That they were used by Syria's surrogates should be no surprise and probably wasn't. This is just one of their face saving lies.

Israel didn't fail. Israel conquered south Lebanon, almost up to Litani river. It is still in Israel's hands, being handed to international forces. Israel won,as always, more land. The problem is the idiotic politicians who are handing ,again ,over conquered areas. Do you understand? Israel WON,as always !
23. Israel Second Only To Russia In Providing Arms To China
Mustafa ,   Egypt   (09.08.06)
The Jewish state, recipient annually of $3 billion in U.S. aid, is second only to Russia as a weapons provider to China, U.S. congressional investigators say. Some experts fear sensitive U.S. technology may show up via Israel in systems sold by China to Iran and North Korea, which President Bush termed "axis of evil" states after the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Is not it a double standard irony ! http://www.rense.com/general28/iisj.htm
24. Neo-Soviets laughing to the bank
malcolm   (09.08.06)
There are big bucks riding on the results of the war. There’s an extremely high probability neo-Soviet “manufacturers” trained Hizbollah in Syria on how to maximize results. There's an equally high probability the "manufacturers" were on hand advising* and watching real time Iranian satellite video of the battlefield. The videos will then show up in secret sales sessions to boost sales. They will also help the "manufacturers" improve on their design. *Anyone recall the army of Soviet "advisors" on hand in Egypt and Syria for the Yom Kippur War?
25. to mustafa from egypt
tom ,   toronto, canada   (09.08.06)
it's odd that nobody wants to talk about the american aid to egypt, which is almost equal to that given to israel. but where does it all go? egypt isn't being attacked by hostile neighbours, or boycotted for the last 50 years. and it certainly hasn't gone to improving the standard of living of the average egyptian. per capita gdp in egypt is only $3,900, compared to over $24,300 in israel, in spite of unceasing arab aggression. and yes, israel exports arms, but it also is an exporter of food, in spite of its limited land area. israel has less than 1/10 the population of egypt, but produces more scientific and engineering research than the arab world combined. instead of criticizing israel for arab failures, it would be a lot smarter to make peace and let israel help its neighbours, like egypt, to improve the standard of living of their people. if the american congress is concerned about israeli arms exports, it is mostly because they don't like competitiion - because they have successfully scuttled every major israeli project in living memory, once they could copy the technology for themselves.
26. tom from canada : Who's arming Israel?
Mustafa ,   Egypt   (09.08.06)
Over the past decade, the United States has transferred more than $17 billion in military aid to this country of just under 7 million people. But , what an average american citizen now think of USA aid to Israel? an american citizen posted: "We should be wary of how much uncritical military, political, and economic support we show to a country with a system of government that more closely resemebles apartheid than democracy. Not that we shouldn't support Israel, but blindly so, as the best of bad options? Our excessive faith in Israel is a weakness, not a strength; the recent AIPAC spy scandal exhibits this. Israel would sell out the US in a half a second if it was in Israel's interests to do so; we wouldn't be the first empire Zionists have used to further their expansionist aims, only to turn against it when it no longer served their purposes." http://www.fpif.org/fpiftxt/3387
