I'm surprised that many here are oblivious that Lebanon is actually run by "CHRISTIAN" presidents, something which Muslims themselves supported over previous Druze regimes generations ago. One of such presidents is *Emile Lahoud*, who is presently accused by the MARCH 14 Group (Christian and Sun'ni Muslim collision group) for co-operating with Syria, one of Hizballah's ally nations, and blamed for killing Rafiq Hariri in 2/14/2004, an ex-Prime Minister who was a charismatic Sun'ni Muslim, businessman, and ally to the United States -- unlike Hizballah for a change, which still obtains the opposite status with the States. Futhermore, the Lebanese Army is divided into Christians (Catholics, Orthodox and Maranites), Sun'ni Muslims, Shi'a Muslims, and Druze. Trust me, they were even looking out for Hizballah and Lebanese Forces from time to time, since they both clash internally in Beirut. If there are any members who support Hizballah will be the Shi'a Muslims in the army. And besides, I'll bet none of you have traveled to Lebanon yet to learn who's a friend or a foe. I lived there until the war started, and I understand the broader picture now. Why are you afraid of a nation's army that has no other threat but to arrest people with invalid papers on checkpoints, and are ruled over by "Christian" presidents? The Lebanese Army needs the external aid to at least block Shi'ite boys from south Beirut from clashing in northern neighborhoods in the near future. And besides, as long as innocent people die or get hurt due to IDF's miscalculations, why wouldn't Siniora, the "Prime Minister", move back away from making peace with Israel? You should know how sensitive Lebanese people are now with their fragile peace with Hizballah, their cancer, still around to further aggitate them at home.
