I just cannot get it. We have real time news stories reported from various international news sources. The European people and our general opposers throughout the Christian world reading about this story, well.. don't they get it? Can it be that they hate the Jews even more than they care for their own religion? I imagine if I were a Christian I'd be inflamed from this story. Obviously, any normal thinking Chrsitian would prefer these areas to be under Jewish sovereignty wherein religious tolerance is a certainty. But, that probably won't happen and in fact the Christain world, I confidentally suspect, will continue its push to create a Palestinian Terror State even while knowing that their prescence and there freedom to worship at their holiest sites will be nonexistent. Funny how the article fails to mention that one reason the people of Qalqilya may be so pissed off is because they are living in a prison that Israel has created for them! The entire city is surrounded by the Wall with only one entrance in and out of the city. The residents of this city have lost much land because of this and their economic well-being has been destroyed by the prison they have been put in. These people are pissed at Israel for putting them in this prison, but they can't fully take it out on Israel, so they take it out on the YMCA - which is to them a symbol of Western Christianity, which they see as overwhelmingly supporting Israel and its evil and oppressive policies. How would any of you feel if you were living somewhere and suddenly found yourself in an open air prison? Would you be pissed? my wife is a "palestinian christian" and she fears the muslims and their hate, not israel, where she has more freedom than anywhere else in the middle east. she has relatives who chose to live in israel and left the west bank because of the prospect of living under corrupt taliban-style dictatorship. they do not support israel, but it is telling that they are smart enough to know where they have the most rights and protection and want to commit their future here. don't believe the propoganda - the facts are here for you to see. that is, IF you care about the truth.

Well, I traveled and stayed in Beit Sahour and Bethlehem with Christian families, so this is where I am getting my info from, not some Hamas propoganda or anything. The Christians there were pretty pissed at Israel, and they cited the reason that many Christians were leaving was because there were no economic opportunities there for them. While some Christians were afraid of Hamas' Islamic agenda, they blamed Israel's oppressive policies as the reason for the rise of Hamas. And they did say that although there were some disagreements with the Muslim community in the area, they got along relatively well with their Muslim neighbors. Again, this is not what I heard from Hamas propoganda, but from what I experienced and heard living with many Christian families in this area.

So a bunch of muslim Palestinian's burn down a YMCA, this definitely must be the Jews fault.
