My dad was a survivor, with five brothers and sisters who all were killed by the Nazis, or so he believed. A friend of his noticed a listing in the Jewish Daily Forward of someone seeking relatives with my father's name. My dad wrote to this person, and found it was his brother, my Uncle Benjamin, who had disappeared and was in Israel with his wife, my Aunt Tanya. Fortunately they did get to meet once, but unfortunately, as my uncle was 18 years older than my dad, he died shortly thereafter. It was a wonderful reunion after so much time.
