I wish the Israeli Media would kindly explain to us naive Americans why Israel detains hundreds of women and children? I keep reading about the prisoner swap, but it's so matter-of-fact with these women and children. Well wow! To a simple freedom-loving American, that's a bigger story than the kidnapping of one soldier. So either Israelis are every bit as cold and ruthless as their enemies say they are, or there are no prisons full of women and children at all. And if the latter is true, why does the Media play along with stupid Arab propaganda? It boggles my simple, ivory-towered, American mind!

These individuals become statistics- statements-collateral, bribes,pawns, blackmail---- and the humaness of the person becomes second--- But dont get me wrong- I believe Israel is holding FAR more POW's- women and children and others that are also someones beloved- worrying their families sick- So I think they also should be released- WAR and distrust is crazy- but if govts can make a deal and bring these people ON both sides back to their families --one can ONLY win- For everyone. Its a win win to return both sides.
