The song does not depict a Palestinian woman and a Palestinian man, this is number 1, number two, the song is old, it has been aired for the first time about 5-6 years ago, number 3, the singer is the famous Iraqi singer Kathem Al Sahir, number 4, the song is a love song that tells a story of a sad lover who lost his lady, and the Iraqi singer was the actor who was putting black cloths in the video, number 5, the video shows a woman got shot in the back by solders, but nothing suggests that those solders are Israeli ones, and at the end the man get shot by other solders when he was visiting his lady's grave, and again, nothing suggests that those solders are Israeli ones, so please stop the falsification…

I think there is nothing wrong with a video that portrays Palestinians being killedby Israeli soldiers who are designated as righteous in the eyes of Palestinians. The story mixes several things to create the impression that the video also decries Jews in obscene derogatory terms when in fact that is supposedly another video, we are told. I think the hatred conveyed by comparing Jewish people to monekys, etc., is disgusting. It is legitimate to denounce and speak out against that. It reflects a hateful anti-Semitism that does exist among the Palestinian anger and emotion and that is in the heart of some Palestinians. But the idea that 1) Palestinians have no right to criticize Israel's military policies which HAVE resulted in the murder of Palestinian civilians or that the relatives of the murdered should be condmned for not being able to control their emotions inthe face of a loved one is ridiculous. Further, to suggest that the Palestinians are the ONLY ONES who have hatred is equally ridiculous. Just read the Talk Backs to my column to see the depth of hatred against Palestinians, including Israelis and Jews who brazenly and without shame denounce Palestinians as a people, religion and who even claim we don't exist. The real tragedy here is that the anti-Semitism is wrong, but it should be focused on outside of the political debate. The anger of Palestinians is justified, but it should be redirected toward non-violent means. I wish the Palestinians, despite the depth of their suffering, would stop surrendeirng to hatred and instead find the courage to speak out against injustice in a moral, principled and just manner without the vicious anti-Semitism or embrace of violence. I wish the same of the Israeli people. True Palestinian courage would be stand up even in the worst of times and express genuine heartfelt hope that the Jewish people have the best at Rosh Shahanna. Actually, Anthony, the word is not shahada - which is a profession of faith, but istishhaad which means martyrdom - so do try and get it right. Also, it is extremely easy to "diss" someone else's religion and to sneer at what people believe, but intellectually there is not much difference between Islamic fantasies of heaven, and the Jewish belief in the bodies of the dead rolling their way underground to Jerusalem when the messiah comes, or the Christian belief in the resurrection, etc, etc, etc. If you want to make a political point about our abhorrence of suicide bombers, then stick to that. Otherwise, I can only say that when you throw cr_p at other peoples' religions, you also splash yourself.
