WHAT A SELF-AGGRANDIZING JACK-ASS.LIBERALS CANNOT LEAD, THEY JUST FOLLOW THEIR FEELINGS.
3. He is a joke...but its not funny at all. END
(09.21.06)
4. Wouldn't it be funny if the cause that
Gumby and Pokey ,   Yikesland   (09.21.06)
finally begins to unite Jews and Muslims is when they work together to stop the gay-pride parade in Jerusalem? How about a "Jews and Arabs against fags" day celebration instead! What seperates man from the animals is man's ability to not act upon his desires. It doesn't matter if fags were "born that way", it does not release them from their responsibility to not act upon their perverse desires.
5. Olmart Out
Ely greenhut ,   Jerusalem Israel   (09.21.06)
If he & his misfits stay any longer they will lead israel to destruction.

Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica,CA USA   (09.21.06)
9. Olmert's arrogance just proves he's not suitable!
Matthias Roth ,   Switzerland   (09.21.06)
Anyone who really believes that the Saudi king's initiative is good for Israel, is a fool!
10. Neville Chamberlain managed a lot more than 3 divisions!
aaron ,   ra'anana   (09.21.06)
11. Three divisions ?
Bruno ,   Haifa   (09.21.06)
The only thing one can say about Olmert is that he is a master of creating divisions, not managing them. He has set Israel back by years, set Kadima back - no bad thing, and set the peace process back irretrievably, creating new divisions and new hatreds. The whole situation was a spin - not just the last few days of the war - unecessary, unthought out and managed in a zigzag, hasty, and childish fashion. Olmert has created more divisions in Israel than he "controlled" in the war.
12. Hubris & arrogance: Olmert versus Halutz - it's a close call
Bruno ,   Haifa   (09.21.06)
Hard to decide which of these two is more arrogant or suffers more from hubris. I would lock them both in a room and let them fight it out. Israel would gain enormously from having them both disappear from public life.
13. ARROGANT TILL THE END ...
OURI ,   EL AD   (09.21.06)
HIS POLITICAL END SEEMS NEAR , BUT HOW MUCH DAMAGE HE WILL MAKE TO THE JEWS TILL THIS MOMENT....

16. Olmert

The one thing that Olmert is most suited for is to resign.
17. to 8, yes sharon do better
hanzalah naji ali ,   al- shajara   (09.21.06)
I want to remind u what sharon did when 3 soldiers killed and kidnapped by hizbalah before 6 years , he didnt make war, he knows better what israel position, and he swap prisoners, so he was wise
18. 7% isn't a mnadate and is not a majority
Michael   (09.21.06)
Olmert could think what he wants. But the office of the Prime Minister is a public office decided by the people. Dictators also feel they are the best for the job. But in a democracy it is what the people feel.
19. Can you beat the conceit of Olmert
Mike ,   Israel   (09.21.06)
Why does Israel always seem to attract these 'little Napoleons' to be Prime Minister? People without an ounce of self-doubt, who believe that THEY are the 'Chosen One'? It was bad enough getting rid of preening, posturing Ehud Barak. Now we have Ehud Olmert. Perhaps anybody whose first name begins with 'Ehud' should be suspect? Olmert - just shut up and leave, will you!!!
20. OLMERT ON OLMERT: I used to be arrogant, but now I know I'm
Knave Dave   (09.21.06)
...good. Can there be any question that Olmert is the best man for Israel now that he has told you so? Here are some boasts Olmert might make: Al Gore says he invented the internet, but I invented wire. I have all of Israel wired. That's why 7 percent is all the majority I need to win at anything. With 7 percent I can rule the world. I am also the smartest military tactician in the world. I am the first to figure out how to win a war by losing it. You have only to repeat your fantasy until everyone believes it. We call it existentialism here in Israel where everything is existential these days. The old expression is, "If in charge delegate." I looked around and saw the only person I could rely on to run this war was Ariel Sharon. That's why I put Ariel in charge. It is unfair that people now blame me for the outcome when it is Ariel Sharon who commanded the war. I told all the generals to do whatever he told them and left it in his hands. Now the world wants to blame me. Where was he the whole time that he was in charge? This is not fair. But as a leader you have to accept these things. As for that Shawl MoreFizz guy claiming that I cannot look mothers in the eye, I just want to say that his mother is a flea bag. Yes, a sack of fleas. That's why he's so obsessed with mothers and questions about mothers. He has mother issues. Me. I never had a mother. I mean I didn't come from a human egg. People ask me about polls. "Olmert," they say, "Are you troubled that Bibi has twice the support you do?" I can tell you, and I can tell you this with confidence, that I am not concerned. Bibi is just a little BB rolling around. He's just a little baby. You see, I am clever with words. That's why I will win in any contest between me and Bobbi. I'm an orator. I say things often enough and they become reality. I speak things into being. I am G... Well, better not go there; but my name is written a lot of times in the Torah. I'll just say that. What country the size of Israel has this little BB with the big big ego ever ruled? He needs to learn humility with his big numbers. Well, I have to go now. I have prayers to answer.
21. Mr. Olmert praises our enemies?
steve ,   USA   (09.21.06)
You wrote: "The prime minister praised the Saudi king, who is responsible for the Arab peace initiative which is on the agenda once again." Mr. Bush met with Abbas yesterday, a mass-murderer and called him a man of peace. Bush said he was committed to creating a Muslim terrorist state in Israel's heartland. Don't forget your history: CNN SATURDAY MORNING NEWS Israel and the U.S. Involved in a Public Spat Aired October 6, 2001 - 09:21 ET JOHN KING, CNN SENIOR WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT: As the president tries to build this international coalition, a major target of the White House effort, moderate Arab nations. But as the president reaches out to the Arab world, some tensions and remarkably blunt exchanges back and forth between the United States and a long- time ally. (Placed in context: Shibley Telhami, a Middle East expert at the University of Maryland, agrees that Bush formally made creating a Palestinian state the goal of U.S. policy, largely to appeal to the Muslim world at a time when the United States had attacked Afghanistan. ARIEL SHARON, ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER: “I call on the Western democracies and primarily the leader of the free world, the United States: Do not repeat the dreadful mistake of 1938 when enlightened European democracies decided to sacrifice Czechoslovakia for a convenient temporary solution. Do not try to appease the Arabs on our expense. This is unacceptable to us. Israel will not be Czechoslovakia. Israel will fight terrorism.” KING: What angered Washington most was Sharon's comparison to Europe ceding parts of Czechoslovakia to Hitler, suggesting that in its aggressive effort to court Arab nations for the coalition against terrorism, the United States was turning its back on Israel's security. ARI FLEISCHER, WHITE HOUSE SPOKESMAN: The president believes that these remarks are unacceptable. Israel can have no better or stronger friend than the United States, and better friend than President Bush." Yea, right.
22.  It is missing something in the elective Political System .
Keren ,   Sao Paulo   (09.21.06)
I would like to understand WHY always the same group compete for elections for decades. Here in Brasil is the same-people have to choose among the less bad, because they all are just thugs. New leaders should have the oportunity to enter in the scene;idealistic ones, honest ones, cultured and inteligent ones. We always hear the same old names:peres,bb,etc, etc. I really don't know how that can be changed and a new system implemented, but fresh leaders should, for sure, have opportunities. The system should not be so closed and heavy the way it is ,where those who enter in the power circle don't leave it never more, up to their deaths and who command Israel without the genuine will of People but rather the one of themselves corrupted , egocentric and sick minds, too adicted , spoiled and tightened by Power. The elective system should be more dinamic.New brains must bloom. And when they are not good and are not satisfying people, the system must be dinamic enough to put them out quickly, and elect always new ones. For now ,the system is too heavy and not compatible to the dinamicity of the actual world age.
23. How can we be in a democracy if olmert
Michael   (09.21.06)
shows nothing but contempt for its citizens. His comments and rational are insulting. He openly shows how stupid he thinks we are by giving these stupid statements and childish excuses. Face it when your a Prime Minister you only get one chance (regarding wars) and you blew it. As prime Minster, you take the Perks and the responsibilty . You are enjoying the Perks now accept responsibility and resign.
24. Poll
Brod ,   USA   (09.21.06)
With the dismal poll rating, those affected should resign and give way to stronger leaders that command more confidence from Israelis. Failure to do so should trigger a "no confidence" vote. At a time where more challenges are impending, stronger leaders are needed. The poor track record in the recent war with Hezbollah in tiny Lebanon which took more than 30 days is nothing to be proud as an accomplishment. Israel, led by strong leaders in the past, has achieved far more spectacular achievement in defending the homeland such as the 1967 Six-Day War. There are no comparables here. Hence, leaders should take responsibility for their poor performance and give way to the voices of the majority of the masses.
25. Olmert the Megalomaniac Doesn't Care About Israel
Nannette ,   London, UK   (09.21.06)
He doesn't even care that the US is so fed up with him and his inept, bumbling government, that they're switching their support to the Palestinians instead. Olmert doesn't have the decency or compassion for the people of Israel, to quit his job - or call for a general election! He's a nobody - and a is a traitor to his country.
26. YOU'RE REALLY STUCK!
Knave Dave   (09.21.06)
What's wrong with you guys? First, you elect the guy who knowingly sparked the intifada and, thus, reward him for his careless behavior. The intifada turned out to be a total disaster for Israel, ending in the relinquishing of Gaza (though I think in the end that's the smart thing to do, but it can hardly be why you elected Sharon or what he thought he'd get out of the intifada). Then you elect his parrot, Olmrat, the guy who created a boatload of debt for Jerusalem and who has been a weasle from day one. Anyone should be able to see that written all over his face if they're awake. Can't you spot a crooked face when you see one? Not everyone who looks trustworthy is; but everyone who looks shifty is. NOW, IT LOOKS LIKE YOUR REPLACEMENT FOR OLMRAT IS GOING TO BE NETANYAHOO! Are you never going to learn your lesson and elect someone who is a true stateman? You already tried Netanyahoo. He's a known quantity and nothing too impressive. Even the Knave was smart enough not to vote for George Bush a second time. You learn your lessons and make better choices next time, not return to the same old poor choices you made in the past. NetanYAHOO??? You've GOT to be kidding, or is the entire Israeli populous hopelessly floundering for lack of good people and good ideas?
27. Feiglin?
sk ,   USA   (09.23.06)
What would be his support now?
28. oh well
ian deal ,   melbourne australia   (09.24.06)
Oh well, just another ample demonstration of the "Peter Principle" at work and play
29. most suitable?
jean bourgeot ,   perth-australia   (09.25.06)
Deep in my heart I know I am a fine man... and I let the most 'suitable' characters to lead nations to what they are supposed to do... atrocious blunders! Being too weak to impose justice one must always remember that we are doing charity with humility to others... in order to clean up whatever mess the most suitable people of the present have left for future generations. God has been the witness all along no matter the sides of actions. When I go to sleep in the evening I do not have to justify to God why I have given love & confort too everyone around. For that purpose one does not need guns, Kabalistic threats or an uncle in the missile business... but simply a good heart.. The day w'hen we see politicians with human principles from the heart... then and only then we shall talk of suitable leaders. I have great confidence and hope in the young generations... they will spare any judgment on previous generations... to let them to oblivion as if we do not wish to remember who were these 'most suitable' leaders of the past... thank you Lord for the management of my memory... that... I have already surrendered to God!!!
