1. Assad: Israel may attack, Syria will stand strong
Patrick B. Leek ,   Bexley, Ohio U.S.A.   (09.21.06)
This guy is so nutty he should be in a trail mix. Israel should have attacked Syria instead of Hezbullah IMHO. Go straight to the Puppet Master is what I say.

4. So far
Meggie A ,   Israel   (09.21.06)
I haven't seen any sign of Syria or Iran ever saying.."maybe we can sit a talk with Israel....All we see here is, "afraid Israel may attack" etc etc....not one word that they even think of peace...just war. SO whatever...just dont give back Golan Heights because these guys are itching for a war...guess Assad feels left out and wants his peice of the attention. Maybe jealous of Nasralla and Ahmedinejat getting it all.
5. The mongrel has spoken.
Ivri   (09.21.06)
6. Assad's repressive regime
Zionist ,   Israel   (09.21.06)
I find it funny how Assad says his people are "united in the face of all this," but fails to give the real reason for this great "unification" of the Syrian people. Maybe it's because his people don't dare have any other opinion.
7. He's desperately trying to justify a new terrorist army

"Don't give back Golan Heights" That just shows that Golan Heights IS not yours...and so ur OCCUPYING land that's not urs..typical of the Zionist regime..
12. INVADE!
(09.21.06)
13. #11 I want peace. Do you? Abdul
Mark ,   USA   (09.21.06)
The Arab/Israeli conflict must be solved through peaceful dialogue. Let us talk peace. Peace be with you,Abdul .
14. to 15
Kofi ,   UN   (09.21.06)
great logic. just because asks for something doesn't mean it was theirs to start with.if this is the case the Jews should just ask for ALL their land back, only this is theirs from the begining.
15. make that #11
Kofi ,   UN   (09.21.06)
16. Peace has a price
Tony ,   USA   (09.21.06)
With all the talk of peace, truth is nobody really wants it, unless "it" (the final outcome) benefits them. Eventually, you have to choose sides, either way, you don't loose ground for nothing! Peace can only come through sacr. and neither will do that. Don't fool yourselves this can only end badly!
17. Israel has not learned the lessonS yet
Ahmad Abouali ,   Nablus   (09.21.06)
Beating one after another since 2000, and Israel still living on the memories of the 1967 "triumph" when it attacked and won. Now the world is totally different, and the "pioneers" of the Israeli Army has been replaced with the Kit-Kat cellular phone-New York wannabees Zionists whom do not want to fight and are afraid to be killed by Hizbullah and the "Arabushis" in Syria. time has changed the game, and we have the upper hand on the battle field. Wake up and leave our lands before it is too late for you: Israel
18. Why give up Golan? Its part of Israel, not Syria
David ,   Boston, USA   (09.21.06)
When Arab countries were made up in the early part of the 20th centuries their borders were arbitrary. What make Golan more part of Syria than Israel....NOTHING. It has been part of Israel almost as long as it was part of Syria. As far as I am concerned it should remain part of Israel. IF Syria wants more land go talk to your masters in Iran. Go away Syria. Why not be constructive and try to make life better for your own citizens instead of pestering Israel or Lebanon or crawl to your masters in Iran and ask for work there now that you are no longer allowed to steal from Lebanon any longer.
19. #17 Let me explain to you the lessons...
Logic ,   Israel   (09.21.06)
Every war since 1967 has been a victory for Israel, even though there were painful loses. 1. 1973 - Israel reached within a short distance of of both Damascus and Cairo. Yes, we were surprised at the start, but this you call a defeat? 2. 1982 - PLO gets kicked out to Tunis. Israeli jets down over 80 Syrian MIGS in dogfights. This you call a defeat for Israel? 3. 2006 Lebanon War - Israel destroys all long range missles within the first evening, and destroys hundreds of Hezbos by ground, air, and sea. Nasrallah hides in bunker for months and half his countrymen hate his guts for starting a war. The UN and Lebanese troops head to the south. This you consider a total defeat??? Conclusion: If the Arabs keep on "winning" like this, Warren Buffet may invest even more here... By the way, don't forget that some of our "Kit Kat cell phone NY wannabees" are professionals during most of the year, and lethal combat soldiers during war time.

it has nothing to do with the Army. it has to do with the politicians' indecisiveness. if the IDF was given carte blanche , they could wipe out Hezbollah and the Syrian army in 2 weeks. but Israeli politicans listened to the international community too much...particularly the EU. they pussified themselves and hesitated instead of going full throttle. my semite friend, the IDF is the best "pound for pound" Army in the world. don't kid yourself.
21. Assad
David ,   Toronto, Canada   (09.21.06)
This guy is such a loser! He has no friends, just people that use him!
22. to #11
David ,   Toronto, Canada   (09.21.06)
OK, maybe the Golan Heights are occupied....So was the Sinai. But ISRAEL gave it back for a PEACE DEAL (even thought its just a peice pf paper to Egypt)...Hmmmmm, maybe instead of talking about war, Syria should talk about peace to liberate the heights! THIS IS TYPICAL OF YOUR SO CALLED "ZIONIST REGIME" - LAND FOR PEACE!
23. His a bigger moron than his father....
ERIC,,, ,   ISRAEL   (09.21.06)
