What I, and I'm sure all your readers want to know, is how those bullets got by Israel's airport security? This is more than one human error!

5. Arrested in India – Noa Haviv didn't check her bag
Daniel ,   Lod, Israel   (09.22.06)
To Indian authorities, Bullets and guns don't mean anything for Israelis. They are just there every where in the houses of those in the army, and well every household has some one in the army all the time. Please release Noa and let her enjoy her holidays in our lovely country. Daniel - Non Resident Indian Living in Israel

9. so far to Ben Gurion Airport Controll...
jospet ,   Zurich, Switzerland   (09.22.06)
..a thousand annoying questions of; why did you visit, what did you do, where did you go, why do you speak hebrew, where did you met your girlfriend or wife and so on.. ..2 x-ray and analyse stations where every Palm, Notebook, shoe and toothbrush is rechecked a dozend times ...and the PROFESSIONALS cant see a fully loaded (17 cm) pistole magazin???? this makes you really think about security on flights and Ben Gurion Security practice in special. It seems that there is a 2-class system for foreigners and jewish Israelis
10. EL AL security
Caroline ,   Israel   (09.22.06)
Is the famous EL AL security only a mythos? Have you fallen asleep at the guard same as IDF? It's not only disappointing, but most alarming.

Noora ,   Bahrain   (09.22.06)

MANJIT SINGH GREWAL ,   LUDHIANA,INDIA   (09.22.06)
I have seen a no.of Israeli tourists enjoying a variety of drugs,in the n/w state of Himachal Pardesh. On riding a heavy -dose of drug it is fashionable to disply a gun .I have wondered how these ppl get the gun? I dare you visit MALLANA-JARI-MANIKARAN AREA OF HIMACHAL STATE(india) & find a single israeli boy or girl whithout a high. The poor locals avoid all the foreign tourists in the evening.I am witness to a no of brawls between Germans & jews ,both on their highs , without any reasonable cause. 2 gigiling uniformed girls & roughly 3 hours of questioning where have u been?why have u been?why don't u speak hebrew / ladino? Why can't u write in hebrew / ladino? where have u been before?and before?how much money u make a month?what is ur job?what was u doing before?how many people u have seen in israel and what they said? according to them these questions all related with the security of Israel. Hmm?? if security of Israel depends on my CV & diary .... Cool.. after 2 hrs i had to remind them some IMPORTANT questions they forgot to ask; -have I packed my bags?or someone else? -have I ever left my luggage @ somewhere unattended? -has someone asked me to take something back home or not? etc... To the authorities guess you ought to train these guys better ,eh?Under normal circumtances i don't like amateurs waste my time for hours and hours. if subject is security everyone understands & respects but not like above. This is not security check, waste of time.result ? in the news.she could be a muslim and u wouldn't be quiet then.eh?
16. Israeli security- response to previous comments
Sarah ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.25.06)
What Israeli airport personnel look for is not dangerous devices, but dangerous PEOPLE. A weapon is only as dangerous as the intentions of the person who plans to use it. I can easily imagine that Noa Haviv struck the security personnel as harmless, because she IS harmless. She honestly answered that she'd packed her own bag, etc, and, being, in fact, a completely harmless person, she did not set off any red flags for security. So they didn't check her bag so carefully, because even bullets in the bag of a harmless person is meaningless; it is the tweezers in the bag of the homocidal person you have to worry about, not the bullets in the bag of a benign young woman who is off to explore India. Airport security personnel in America and Europe have it backwards. There, they look for hair gel and applesauce. In Israel, they look for murderers.
17. Not apartheid
Sam ,   Chicago, US   (09.26.06)
Separate check in lines isn't apartheid. It's no different from separate immigration lines that most countries have. European countries all have two lines, EU and non EU- that's not apartheid, it's efficiency. As another poster pointed out, this is all about the current system of kabuki security- looking for objects instead of looking at people. A clip of bullets? Useless without a gun, and useless without a murderer. Noa Haviv is clearly not a murderer, and didn't have a gun, so it's just a matter of bureaucrats beating their chests to show how strong they are.
