Uhh...? You people do know that there is no arms-embargo on Syria, right?
So to gerschor, a mysterious explosion made by Israeli forces would be violating international law.
To Sam, what ceasefire law is this violating? This isn't be shipped to Lebanon. It's being shipped to Syria, which is 100% legal by international law. If these radar systems are being shipped from Syria to Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon, then I 100% agree with you that it would be a violation of the ceasefire. Until then, it is not a violation of anything.
To DR, you should watch the movie Lord of War. Skewing the contents of a shipment is an international thing. Everyone does it, including US gun-runners and the US government. Even my peaceful country of Canada does it. The media just wants you to believe it's a "terrorist" thing. All our countries want to do is make money, even if it means supporting dictators and "freedom fighters" a.k.a terrorists.
To Rob, I have full confidence in the NATO members (Germany, Italy, and France) as well as the other countries soldiers that these pieces of equipment will not land in terrorist hands in Lebanon.
And to address ALL of you, what are you so afraid of? This is air defence equipment, not missile equipment. How the hell are you supposed to use radar on Israeli citizens? Stop being paranoid.
Besides, it was produced in North Korea! Think about it. NORTH KOREA. There equipment is shoddy and falling apart. I give this radar equipment a useful life of 1 year before they break down. I bet they are even obsolete against Israeli jet fighters.
So stop stirring up fear and war-mongering. Think before you clamour for violence. Thinking before violence is what separates us (canada, USA, Israel, first world countries) from terrorist-supporting states. They turn to violence before logic and reason. We don't. So stop being one of the bad guys.
