If you have the opportunity to read the book written in 1965 by the french author Roger Peyrefitte Titled " Les Juifs " Nothing will surprise you anymore. That credible author who was the brother of the Interior Minister of France under DeGaulle as President. It is a good reference book because of the research done in the registry office of birth and offices where change of names took place. Of course I am jewish but it is not my fault and I have nothing against those who are not except to reason otherwise.

The stereo-typed and extreme anti-Semitic creation of Shylock a bit desparate for a man living 200+ years after Edward kicked Jews out of England and certainly cowardly for a man who could have brought credibility to Jews if he was one by admitting it and then writing Shylock like modern comedians joking about their own Jewish culture. Though Shylock is hardly a joke. A fair number of Christians think Shakespeare was a Christian and some have pointed out a tribute to Shakespeare in the King James Bible. "They did shake their spears," about as much of a stretch as Jako Spiro, me thinks.
