31. Occupation Biggest Failure on Face of the Earth
Knave Dave ,   U.S.A.   (10.03.06)
Israel needs to get out of the occupation business. It has not been able to populate the land it has grabbed with Jews, so it does not even really OCCUPY the land, other than in a few small centers. It has not in forty years managed to get any treaties from its neighbors giving it the land. It has not in forty years managed to get the U.N. to draft any resolutions that offer even a glimmer of hope of getting the land. It has not managed in forty years to get a single nation on the face of the planet to recognize its right to the land. IT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN ABLE TO HOLD ON TO THE LAND IT HAS GRABBED, having given back the Sinai and Gaza. And holding it because it is essential to Israel's ability to defend itself had not eased Israel's burdens of self-defense in the slightest for forty years.

Israel must keep the land and stop giving it back. By your own logic, giving back land has and will not help Israel; especially against an enemy that does not want it to exist. You are naiive if you think peace will happen if Israel ends its "occupation". The Arab world views Israel as occupying the entire State of Israel. Further, overall, the UN is antisemitic. Israel got nothing in UN 1701. It would be more useful for the world to recognize that Israel has a G-d given right to the land of Israel and to stop treating Arabs like their victims when in fact if you look across the world the majority of violence in this world involves Muslims resulting from their Jihad - e.g., will Darfur end if Israel settles with Palestinians. Wake-up people!!!!!
33. Assad: Peace possible in 6 months

This is a very good article to read. I think the leaders of the world should take it seriously. He is reaching out for peace. We need to keep the door for peace open. Otherwise, the consequences can be unbearable for humanity; including all of us. Also, it is true that no one: the UN, nor the Security Council and all the armies of the world can prevent the smuggling of weapons from one country to the other. Look carefully at our own boarder with Mexico and Canada: the strongest nation on earth cannot secure its own boarders. So, to the responsible leaders: give peace a chance and save the innocence from the agony of wars. Mikhail Carpenter
