(Rom 1:18, 26, 27, 32) Here, God clearly warns all those who simply "approve of " these things with their great "open-mindedness" will be held JUST AS ACCOUNTABLE as those who actually do them. 3. And here, through the prophet Ezekiel (written a thousand years AFTER God destroyed them) God tells us WHY He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah ... ... "This was the iniquity (sin) of your sister Sodom: She [Sodom] and her daughter [Gomorrah] had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy, and they were arrogant (haughty) ... Therefore, I [God] took them away as I saw fit." [He utterly destroyed them with fire ...] (Ezekiel 16:49-50) In these verses, God links open homosexuality in a society to the ultimate in sinful 'pride' and 'arrogance'... Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed ('cleansed' with fire) because they were filled with pride and arrogance while flaunting their sexual immorality and their homosexuality openly before God. They mocked God and they had no fear of God. They were also found guilty of having 'an abundance of idleness' in the land (probably ate, drank, watched TV, and allowed their 'Gay Pride' parades ... the people had become so de-sensitized to sin they even stood by as THEIR 'gays' tried to 'take' the two men/angels God sent to warn Lot ... while their Biblically blind priests, rabbis, ministers, and 'reverends' were assuring the people in the pews that God's Word and God's Law didn't really mean what it said and didn't really apply to them and they could continue to do whatever felt right 'in their own eyes,' even when in direct opposition to God's Law ... All of this reflected their lack of belief and their arrogant and rebellious attitudes toward God and His Word. Sin meant nothing to them and there was no fear of God ... God's judgment against Sodom was was also given as a warning! The Bible warns the coming 'Apocalypse' will be like the judgment against Sodom (only worse), and this time it will come against the whole world!  God is now pleading with us to stop (repent of) our sinful ways and return to Him before it's too late. You're absolutely right. Gay soldiers have made as much of a contribution to Israel as their heterosexual counterparts. They deserve our thanks...not our scorn.

thank you Craig (#7). unpopular as it may be, God is clear in how He views sin, and practicing homosexuality is sin. seeing Israel go down this path of 'tolerance' and approval reinforces the reality of our world and where we stand in the eternal time line. there is absolute truth and God has revealed it to man, both through His word, through all of creation and within our own hearts. we all know instinctively, to some degree at least, the truth. there is a right and wrong. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.' (Matt 7:7)

Praise to the Lord for Craig Crawford's comments (#)!!!!! We need to tell everyone the wrath of God will be upon those who do not repent from their evil ways. Jesus loved the sinner but hated the sin, which includes the homosexual lifestyle. Those who do not beleive in our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, beleive that God will accept them and welcome them home into heaven. Nothing is father from the truth. God will not allow sin to enter heaven. Repent from your evil ways while you can and God will welcome you home
