No wonder the 3 stooges are so supportive of the butcher of munich
32. World NetDaily - it is very one-sided
Ron ,   Chicago   (10.04.06)
Check it out http://www.worldnetdaily.com/ Look at who its correspondants are and who its amjor writers are: Joseph Farah attacking the Democrats as a party of "alternate lifestyles"; Judge Roy Moore - no more tax money for the ACLU and who, according to Wikipedia, famous because of "his refusal, as the elected Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama, to remove a monument of the Ten Commandments from the courthouse despite orders from a federal court to do so"
33. What are we to make of these comments?
Ron ,   Los Angeles, USA   (10.04.06)
From time to time comments along these lines catch our attention. What are reasonable folk to make of them? Well, obviously that there are Palestinians in close association w the PLO whose ultimate goal is not a two state solution. Some of the readers of this list seem to think that automatically means that Israel has no business negotiating with this "peace partner." But surely, if--as many have already commented—if, this is not news, then it is not news to anyone in the Israeli government. And still knowing this, there have been many in Israeli governments, past and present who are in favor of such negotiations. What can we make of that? Well for some, that these officials are idiots or traitors. That seems unlikely. Instead, I think they envision a process (perhaps realistic, perhaps not) whereby the more extremist of the Palestinian leadership can be marginalized, and the more moderate will come to accept the reality of a permanent Jewish, Israel. Instead of the boring name-calling matches I would benefit more from a discussion of to what extent that might be possible. In the Jerusalem Post today I see an article about the pacification of IRA, which, no doubt, appears there because of its relevance to such questions.
34. who is Abu Ahmed?
Ron ,   Chicago   (10.04.06)
He is described as "Abu Ahmed, Fatah member and leader of the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in the northern Gaza Strip" but a web search did not appear to find him as such other in the various Klein articles. There is a "Abu Ahmed, a spokesman for Islamic Jihad," in one web article and a reference to another in an al-quaeda page. It would be nice to have some confirmation about all the information he is providing
35. Refugees Kept in Camps as a POLITICAL WEAPON Against Israel
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (10.04.06)
Arab Muslims first started called themselves "Palestinians" in 1967. The Islamic strategy of refusing to re-absorb the Arab Muslim refugees and their descendants back into the 22 huge, oil-wealthy Arab countries is a powerful weapon against tiny Israel. The U.S. EU UN Road Map of Global Islamic Terror State Two in Biblical, Jewish Judea and Samaria - denying the legitimate rights of Jews to live in their land - will reduce tiny, embattled Israel to indefensible 6-10 miles wide Auschwitz borders - the murderous goal of the Arab Islamic world: www.EretzYisroel.Org Palestinian leadership will not let the refugee problem be solved In 1958, former director of UNRWA Ralph Galloway declared angrily while in Jordan that The Arab states do not want to solve the refugee problem. They want to keep it as an open sore, as an affront to the United Nations, and as a weapon against Israel. Arab leaders do not give a damn whether Arab refugees live or die... This program was reviewed in 1971 by Mohamed Heikal,12 ...as editor of the influential, semi-official newspaper Al Ahram. Heikal called for a change of Arab rhetoric -- no more threats of "throwing Israel into the sea" -- and a new political strategy aimed at reducing Israel to indefensible borders and pushing her into diplomatic and economic isolation... http://www.eretzyisroel.org/~jkatz/refugees2.html
36. #33 Ron- let's talk solutions
sheri ,   rockville usa   (10.05.06)
You said commented that you'd like to hear about how to marginalize the extreme & bring in the moderates. I think the talks are reduced to repetiveness because no one at the moment has any good ideas on how to "get there from here". Seems to me the Israeli gv't is falling back on the old standby of militarily stopping the attacks with no ideas for an actual plan. So many have been tried without a successful response that was hoped for. If you have ideas, post them!! I have one, but it's not a plan, only a place to start talking. During & after WWII the German's & Japanese intended to get rid of everyone else, especially the Jews, intent to take over other areas than where they were, suicide missions to support their goals, indoctrination into their missions using inappropriate methods, approaching children & younger adults to be part of it. After the war this was changed by these techniques used by the allies: 1. First total defeat so that there was a military takeover & control (not like the security control of the WB but full in house control with overwhelming presence). 2. Secret killing of the very radical, incalitrant SS & other extremists. 3. Reeducation programs showing in their face what were the results of their politics, teaching about democracy, re-indoctrination into ideas of peaceful political processes. 4. Finanical arrangements to create the recovery. I dont' know much about the details; I'm not a student of that time period, so if someone does please enlighten... Again, I'm suggesting this as a starting point to talk from, not a solution. Anyone have any ideas of how to get there (peaceful co-existence) from here? Also on a different note I am not convinced a two-state solution is the only or necessarily the best choice. For instance, maybe enough connections & support of other Arab countries will convince them to adopt the Pals along with the land, or at least stop using them as political bargining chips. Maybe offereing them special status & not quite Israeli citizens (i.e. can't move in, & vote in PA gv't) with a 49 year lease after which they become a defacto country, but with more membership then they have now. Or something radically different than we've tried already...
37. Well, Of Course This Is True. He Was Arafat's Number 1
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (10.05.06)
Which poor deluded souls did NOT know this already?? After all, he financed ! the Munich Massacre & many other terror attacks. His plan is the Phased Plan destruction, death by 'slowness and calculation'.
