61. Wafa's a Hero
John ,   NZ   (10.07.06)
I expect more Muslim women to stand up against not @ Islam but the treatment they got from their male counterpart. I expect them to rebel and stop wearing that stupid burqa which makes them invisible being.
62. To S.Mohammed#15. That Will Benefit You.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (10.07.06)
You write:".. cancelling Islam all of it ..". Mrs. Sultan said that she RESPECTS the religious part of Islam as much as she respects any religion. HOW can anyone embarasse ANY religion by respecting it? So, you are disingenuous to Mrs. Sultan. I think you are embarassing the Muslim religion - due to your dishonest opinion. Hope everything is well with you.
63. To Lib #21. We Should APPLAUD That.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (10.07.06)
You write:"Let her just shut up". IS this your Muslim education? IS this what you have learned from Islam? You are shame for the Islam religion. Mrs. Sultan is saying that she RESPECTS the religious part of Islam. Well, if someone respects a religion - we should APPLAUD that - we should THANK that person. But you seem to dispice that person. How Muslim men are supposed to behave is one thing - but how they behave in real life - that is what we SEE and know. BTW who do you think you are in forbidding Mrs. Sultan to speak???? Hope everything is well with you.
64. To Fadi #32. STILL You Are Speaking.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (10.07.06)
You write:".. I wouldn't bother with her". I do not think that you are giving your honest opinion here. Why? Because you are bothered. You write:".. I don't understand ..". So, although you don't understand - STILL you are speaking. And one, who was raised in Syria for 30 years before emigrating to the USA - a practicing Muslima - she can not speak about Islam. Hope everything is well with you.
65. 63 - Maansingh
BouSameer ,   Beirut Lebanon   (10.07.06)
" You write:"Let her just shut up". IS this your Muslim education? IS this what you have learned from Islam? You are shame for the Islam religion. " It's so funny that you bring back everything to Islam. She's simply pissed off and telling her to Shut up. And you say is this your muslim education? When u say shut up or something of the sort, how strange that people don't ask you if this is what christianity or Judaism tought you. Just imagine someone going on TV in Europe and claiming that Judaism, which she nevertheless respects, is the religion of hate and violence, as witnessed in the occupied territories. Hey, she may even support that with quotes from the Torah.. I am sure you will praise her for her courage too.. As to what I think about Sultan, see my talckbak 28.
66. the superiority of the west above muslims is in active parti
mike ,   t.o.   (10.07.06)
the superiority of the west above muslims is in active participation and ingenuity of women.
67. To Sattouf #38. As If Nothing Has Happened.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (10.07.06)
So, after seeing her teacher killed in front of her in the classroom by the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria -- you are advising her :'just forget the whole episode - and re-learn Islam - everything is hunky dory'. As if nothing has happened. You may not mind killings executed in front of you -- but an educated human being like Mrs. Sultan can not stomach that. Why does she become appalled by it? Because she is a practicing Muslima. Hope everything is well with you.
68. To BouSameer #65. In Dealings With Others.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (10.07.06)
You write:"She's simply pissed off ..". In dealings with others - one has to SHOW respect. Even to persons with whom we may disagree. So, to a person with whom one may disagree -- one should NEVER say 'Shut up'. Otherwise one will be considered one without manners. BTW unless the other party talks -- HOW will you be able to defeat their arguments? IF I know that I am right -- WHY should I be pissed off by the talks of others? Hope everything is well with you.
69. #59 U.S. Public Schools' HOSTILITY to CHRISTIANITY/JUDAISM
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (10.07.06)
BouSameer, you selectively ignored the following statement in the article on the prohibitions of Christians (and Jews) of even mentioning the word 'G-D'. "While public schools prohibit Christian students from reading the Bible, praying, displaying the Ten Commandments, and even mentioning the word 'God,' students in California are being indoctrinated into the religion of Islam..." http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=36118 Christians are regularly discriminated against in U.S. public schools. Lawsuits are continually brought to court fighting for the rights of Christian students. This is just one of the many ominous signs that Christians and Jews will one day lose their freedom in America.
70. 68, Maansingh - inappropriate behaviour
BouSameer ,   Beirut Lebanon   (10.07.06)
Thanks for your reply. It makes more sense now, since you are not alluding to religious affilition. Perhaps you got my point then. Of course i find it unacceptable to say "shut up" simply because one doesn't agree with someone else. But I find it quite offending and equally unacceptable to point out to one's religion because she/he said "Shut up" and acted inapropriately. Everything is fine with me 10/10, thanks
71. To Maansingh
Libneniyyeh ,   Lebanon   (10.07.06)
I'd like you to recall how many offensive remarks have been made on this website regarding Islam. Not once has a Jew or a Christian been called impolite because of his/her 'religious education'. Yes I am pissed off at what this woman said, and I expressed my honest opinion....or is it only ppl in Denmark and popes who are entitled to freedom of speech? So sorry if I offended your sensitive ears...I think ill just "shut up" for now. My message is clear.
72. To BouSameer#70. A Reasonable Person.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (10.08.06)
You write:".. to point out to one's religion ..". Religion is meant to make one a better person, a reasonable person. IF after practicing one's religion one has NOT become a better person, a reasonable person then either one of the two is true -- he did NOT practice his religion correctly, or that that religion is NOT capable of changing a person for the better. Hope everthing is well with you.
73. To Lib.#71. IF You Will Not Speak.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (10.08.06)
You write:".. if I offended your sensitive ears ..". No, you did NOT offend my ears. You did treat Mrs. Sultan harshly -- so, I responded to that. You write:".. I'll just shut up ..". NO, you should continue to speak. IF you will not speak - how will I be able to defeat your arguments? If they are not defeatable - I must ACCEPT your words, I will have to AGREE with you. Hope everthing is well with you.
74. Save this courageous woman...
