As talkbacker 2 so accurately stated, the cartoons were never meant to be published, but were exposed by an undercover journalist. Yes, the teenagers are racist, and that is sad. However, if we all saw the mere existence of racism as a provocation and didn't rise above it, we'd all hate everyone for eternity. If anyone is unnecessarily provocative in this case, it is the journalist, not the teenagers. Yes, they were haters, but they were hating in private.

Cartoons are a legitimate method of communicating ideas, and have been used as such as long as there has been publication of ideas. Humor is not a sin; supression of it is.

Israel is the only country in the Middle East, where Christians can live freely and exercisetheir religion without any restrictions , and so can do people of other faith. And for additional cartoons, I could care less, since Muslims are depicting Jews and Christians daily in public life may it be in newspapers or TV.

Muslims respect other religions and recognize them . Jews do not recognize Jesus PBUH ,they say he is a nice guy ...at least we consider him equal to our prophit Mohammed PBUH . It's funny the way some events take place today. Spiteful squabbling children would set a better example. And Im sure people here will dig up stories and incidents to verify that this is such a terrible religion - men beating their wives, their sisters, veiled women, etc. But every incident in Islamic history there are tens to match in histories of other religions. Women and children have been abused since the stone age. The Testament is a patriarchal authoritative text. Secularism is all very well, but it also has so many drawbacks. And it has never put an end to violence. So what is the solution? It's so simple. When you have a group of angry and frustrated people, uncertain of how to respond, they will inevitably become emotional and violent. We Arabs are an emotional, passionate people. But that's what makes for the beauty and diversity of cultural differences. I can say that Islam respects all prophets and religions, and I can say that it would be a crime for any Muslim to disrespect any of the prophets. Muslims dont respect other religions. Let’s take Saudi Arabia. If you are a Christian you cannot practise your religion, not even in private nor can even pray and read the Bible at home. Muslims are persecuting other religions worldwide, trying to force people to submit to Islam and murdering others everywhere. I have not seen massive demos of Muslims protesting this is not their religion. When the Pope said to impose a faith through violence is against G-d, Muslims went wild and the Pope is under threat. Muslims don’t respect other religions, customs and cultures. They move to Christian countries and are able to say they feel offended by Christian symbols and want to impose their customs and beliefs on the host country.

I have not heard of mosques being attacked and imams murdered over this. Nobody tells you not to be passionate. But you don’t have the right to destroy others’ property and kill people over cartoons, opinions, etc. There are lots of passionate people who don’t do things like that.
