The only thing stopping a solution to the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians are the Palestinians. Go ask Bill Clinton how willing Israel was to make concessions that Arafat threw in the toilet to start another round of war.

Hamas and Fatah CANNOT reconciliate.....Reconciliating would mean the end of the Palestino-palestinian conflict and therefore the end of the "official excuse" for Islamic agitation.....what else would then they spend their time doing ? Rolling up their sleeves and get something POSITIVE going on ? Hamas= Obscurantism Free up Palestine from all Islamic dictators of all kind. Set up a REAL democracy....educate everyone and separate religion from the state !!!

I think the answer to your question is that the Palestinians are doing it to themselves, yet again. The embargo is in place because Hamas is judged to be a terrorist organisation by many countries around the world. If you think this judgement is incorrect, Sam, perhaps you'd like to explain how suicide bombers and rocket attack against innocent Israeli Jews and Arabs are NOT terrorist acts.
