4. Fadi I hope u know Olmert's replacement will be worse for u
RA   (10.20.06)
His replacement will probably be from the right. In other words, next time you Lebanese bastards try something, you will see what Israel is truly capable of.
5. Olmert the Lip Flapper nobody takes seriously
malcolm   (10.20.06)
Everything he says, we can expect the opposite. Israel has "0" deterrent with him as commander in chief. Iran laughs at their friend Ehud who delivers exactly what they want when they want it. As far as a nuclear deterrent, he wouldn't push the button if all Israel were ablaze lest the French make him persona non grata and take away Aliza's Hermes of Paris credit card. Israel is like a slow sinking ship without a bilge pump and a captain on crack . The picture is getting bleaker by the day as Israelis go like sheep to the slaughter. Does this sound familiar? Will history repeat itself? I hope to God they wake up from their stupor before it's too late.
6. he "left with a strong feeling that Russia .....
malcolm   (10.20.06)
Putin, the masterl ying poker player who got Bush to say ..." I looked in his eyes and saw his soul" played Olmert like a fiddle. Olmert's religion is bullshitting so he was played by a neo-Soviet KGB master bullshitter. Everyone else out here just looks at the facts. Russia's military support for Hizbollah, Syria and Iran and their obsession with nuclearizing Teheran. But Olmert, who worships bullshiting over reality and facts ate it up by the plate load. Now he's gallavanting back to sell it to Israel. The question is.... Will they eat the bullshit or not?
7. Occupation tells the occupied to fight each other

and leave the Jewish occupation alone to kill more palestinians and confiscate more palestinian lands.

Olmert is a novice at being the P.M. of Israel, and it shows. He is getting better I must admit. Iran knows what is in store for it however, without any subtle suggestions. An Iranian nuke will bring disaster to it. Iran is the country which will cease to exist, Tehran and all. As far as Lebanon, Israel was toying witn Hezbollah. It did not attack Lebanon's infrastructure at all, leaving the airport , etc. for future reprisals. Those who encourage "Terrorist" groups like Hezbollah, be aware what will befall you too., should Israel get upset and tired of all this nonsense. Israel is not the 4th most powerful country on the planet for nothing. What the Arabs need is, as we say here in the US of A, a "Good ass whuppin". And that applies in Iraq too. "Don't tread on me" Arab world. You will be sorry. That is what Olmert is saying openly now., and about time.
9. agree with #1
Gaby ,   Boston, usa   (10.20.06)
talk is cheap. Iran won't be afraid of it. No one will mind it. Either we can do it, or we cannot. In both cases threats are a waste.
10. olmert in moscow
leib ben yisrael ,   usa   (10.20.06)
Russia IS wholly committed to the Iranian nuclear issue but not as the PM thinks; Moscow is the major supplier of Iran's nuke development, missile development and conventional weaponry since Brezhnev, through Gorbachev and Yeltsin and continuing with Putin. If the PM's words are a smokescreen fine; if he believes Russia is a friend he's in for a surprise

go to sleep. isn't it late in your tunnel in lebanon? make sure you have a blanket becaue you people are facing a cold winter soon and no apts are standing to keep you sheltered and warm. whose the idiot now? you!
13. 'I am first prime minister to say Iran should be afraid'
Darren ,   Tampa, FL USA   (10.20.06)
Olmert stated: 'I am first prime minister to say Iran should be afraid' That statement sounds as ludicrous as the statement made by Peretz that "you will remember my name" to Lebanon. Under Olmert's leadership with Peretz, Iran, Syria, or Hezbollah should have a good laugh from such a statement. Israel needs a real warrior as Prime Minister on the Right to put real legitimate fear in the hearts of Iran, Syria, and/or Hezbollah. A Prime Minister with competence and willing to wage REAL WAR ignoring the U.N. and at times my country the U.S. I am saddened to see the current leadership in place. War could happen at ANY TIME. It could happen tomorrow. I would think Israel would want to QUICKLY replace the incompetent leadership with strong competent leadership prior to another outbreak of war. Once in war your stuck with the leadership in place...which is currently Olmert & Peretz.
14. #1 & 2 How would you implement your

solutions? What are your solutions? You both must have the answers. Why are you not Prime Ministers?

Luckily for the Iranian civilians, you can't hide a nuclear reactor in someone's living room like you can a Katyusha rocket.

Roni   (10.20.06)
I never thought I'd agree with someone from hizbollahstan, but both of us seem to think that Olmert's clock is ticking. However, do you really want Olmert to stop being PM by Chritsmas? Think about what could happen if Bibi or Lieberman get elected as Israel's next PM. I wouldn't be looking forward to that day if I was an arab :)
19. I'm sure they take his threats to heart
Johnny ,   Miami   (10.20.06)
Especially after his performance the last time around. Talk is cheap; buying Olmert is not. The other thing: RESIGN NOW so you can go to prison more honorably than Katsav.
20. # 17 That's eaxactly what bullshit sounds like

#2 Fedi; fade away; this is Israel. Policies don't change with the person.
23. to all the idiots who think bibi or liberman ae the true
fadi ,   lebanon   (10.20.06)
warriors : who was the worst terrorist PM in history of israel ? Sharon ? what did he do with hizbollah? he never had the guts to wage a war cause he was from the military institution and knew what the real strength of hizbullah was and the high military casualties that israel will pay for such a war ? so he pressed on with prisoner exchange deal !!!! So u blood thirsty idiot leaches ... Bibi is another bullshiter who will do anything to become PM including deceiving the whole israeli public... what do u expect from someone who joined Sharon's governement just to be a minister for several months while knowing from day one that sharon is ongoing with withdrawal plan from Gaza .... then made the paly of being against the plan to get some attention !!! While liberman .. ill be sorry for the israelis first if he becomes prime minister ...probably he will wipe half of the israeli society before fighting with the arabs .... So u keep on with this attitude idiots... u want war with syria ... with iran... with the palestenians ... with hizbollha again ...and what you will gight with ... huh the IDF internal power and blame fights is eating whats left of the IDF army with halutz and his top generals throwing accusations in all directions to save their asses .... so hush hush idiots !
24. #23 - You sound nervous
L'Abu   (10.20.06)
Did you like how Israel remodeled that Beirut hezzy district into a a nice roomy flat field? Keep it up, and the rest of Leb will follow - you'll get plenty of space to conduct more divine victory parades. At the end, it's gonna be nothing but a huge parade all over Lebanon.
25. don't you mean moment of DEATH?
FM ,   Seattle, USA   (10.20.06)
Why can't you people jsut be honest? You policy has ALWAYS been to take it all, to have it ALL. you like to point to the Palestinians and say they're not negotiating in good faith and that you don't have a partner to negotiate with in the Palestinians when the truth is that YOU are not negotiating in good faith!!! You CAN'T be, when you goal is to eventuallyTAKE IT ALL--even if it's litlle by little over a long period of time. Tell the truth FOR ONCE.
26. to mike #21
FM ,   Seattle, USA   (10.20.06)
any Israeli offer of "peace" is a lie. They don't want peace, they want it all, and they always have and always will. Their offers of peace are like me offering you 25 cents in exchange for a dollar......it's a bad deal and it's in BAD FAITH. The Israelis know that they never intend to give anything up. Sure they kicked ILLEGAL settlers out of Gush Katif, but they plan to take it and more eventually. Over time the Palestinian occupied territory has ALWAYS shrunk and never grown. Look at what it used to be and look at what it is now. Look at what the UN said it should be. I know the Palistinians turned it down, but so would the Israelis if they were in their place. That's what I meant about the trading 25 cents for a dollar. It's not a good deal and to turn it down would be smart--if they only knew it would be used against them endlessly they might have done something different. Bottom line, Israel can't be trusted, cannot negotiate in good faith and plans to eventually TAKE it all anyway. Many Prime ministers and other government officials have said this time and again. How about I come take your house and offer to let you live in the dog house? Be careful about turning down my offer--it could come back to haunt you!
