Jerry, it depends very much on where you live doesn't it. If you're living in Palestine I imagine you'd plump for Muslims to free you from oppression. Israel is lucky enough to be militarily in a position to defend itself, those in Palestine don't have that luxury. Which is precisely why potty Islamic fundamentalists like Ahmadinejad get as much support as they do. I feel pretty free from oppression here though, and don't need either Jews or Muslims specifically to 'lift my freedoms', whatever that means. The Chosen - I've read long discussions about what 'chosen' means for Jews before - I just think that Linda's interpretation might be different from yours. I'm perfectly capable of seeing some truth in both sides of the debate, they're all very well rehearsed and we've heard them millions of times before.
