I wouldn't be too concerned about the French warnings since the French have not won a single war for the past 200 years. And Napoleon that the French hold in such high esteem was not French but Corsican - and this "national hero" lost at Waterloo. If the French fries would get excited after too much wine and love making, Lebanon would become their next Waterloo. Israel is militarily superior to France and to the entire Arab world. Israel could easily level the entire Arab world into an unrecognizable heap of gravel. But the difference is that Israel has the strength but doesn't want to annihilate the Arab world. The Arab world wants to annihilate Israel but lacks the strength to do it. And according to UN - United Nazis, self-defence is allowed - even for Israel - at least in theory.
