#36 It is obvious from the posters here, even to the blind, deaf and dumb that the extreme hate on both sides, will perpetuate the bloodshed. Both sides, Israeli and Arab are not innocent in this. It is understandable that Israel wishes to protect itself but it should be recognised that there are those opposing Israel who consider themselves as fighting for their freedom and for their lands that have been confiscated. There are parallels in comparing the French resistance fighting the Nazis in WWII. If Israelis consider themselves as a people who have contributed a great deal to mankind in the areas of philosophy and medicine, why are they completely blind to the solutions in this conflict? Do you want to be compared to America?

Australia seems a little removed from the whole conflict. I have a friend from Brisbane and he now lives in NY, and the way he talked about the whole issue made me realize that he doesn't quite get the whole picture. You need to understand the region, Israel's neighbors and the politics that go with the Palestinian people. They are merely puppets for other Arab state to use aginst israel. They always have inept leaders who make the wrong choices and screw their own people. They are a terror driven culture which teaches their kids to hate Jews, want to kill jews and die for allah. Now look at Israel...a little diferent story there, ey? There is no easy solution, but I think Israel does more to move towards peace. The fact that the IDF goes after terrorists and kills them (which leads to innocents being killed sometimes) is a sad one, but other countries would do the same thing. Thank god your PM sides with israel.
