1. Americans and jews in the diaspora
Maurice Cohen ,   Netanya Israel   (10.23.06)
It's about time that the world inclusive of those jews living outside of Israel understand that there has not been peace since the biblical times of Hagr and Ishmael right up to 2006. America and the rest of the world will start worrying about the arab terrorism only when it hits their home countries.e.g. September 11 as one example. England and Spain have also had a little taste of what it is all about. It's good to feel liberal and that democracy should reign BUT the Arab population is far away from this point. I'm far from being a racialist or even anti-arab. Unfortunately we pay for it with the lives of our young boys and girls or those killed in daily bombings or those in the army.
2. palestinian state
darryl ,   israel   (10.23.06)
most israeli jews support palestinian state
3. Do They?
Tom ,   bsas,argentina   (10.23.06)
But Does Palestinians want a State? Want a Democratic State? Want to live in Peace With Israel when they have arm groups, teach hatred, cult of sucide bombings, martyrdom, antisemitism, they brainwash themselves, support death and destruction, don´t care about the millions and millions of dollars Arafat had and didn´t give to the people. Why do they live under those circumstances and fashion, if all arab countries have plenty of money and power and live as SULTANS, and they say they care for the Palestinians and the Palestinians don´t see this? UPPS. SORRY. I FORGOT: ISRAEL IS THE BAD ONE IN ALL OF THIS RIGHT? Why did all ARAB COUNTRIES rejected to live in peace back in 1948? DO THEY WANT PEACE? No matter if jews israeli or diaspora want a Pals State, THEY MUST WANT TO HAVE ONE AND STOP TERRORISM. IT´S BEEN LIKE THIS FOR DECADES AND DECADES, DID THEY DESTROY ISRAEL, DID THEY ACHIEVE SOMETHING FOR THEMSELVES WITH TERROR AND CULTURE OF DEATH AND MARTYRDOM? DID THEY? NO NO NO Long Live Israel.
4. It's the only just solution
Michael Steiner   (10.23.06)
There is no other long-term resolution other than to have two states roughly along the green line. Peace may come before or after or--most probably--MUCH after, but the occupation of the shtakhim has to cease and a Palestinian state established. Jews worldwide understand this; now it's just a matter of enforcing the will of the majority over the small, vocal and aggressive minority
5. ONLY 26% FEEL ANTI-SEMITISM "VERY SERIOUS" PROBLEM IN 2006
DAVID P ,   SANTA CRUZ, USA   (10.23.06)
UNCHANGED FROM LAST YEAR, THAT MEANS EITHER THOSE SURVEYED TOOK A YEAR OFF FROM EXPERIENCING LIFE AS A JEW OR THE OTHER 74% ARE IN FOR A RUDE AWAKENING NEXT YEAR
6. I'm suprised!
John ,   USA   (10.23.06)
Pleasantly suprised. I have to say my faith is affirmed in Jews as a whole today. Ok so if Jews in Israel support the Palestinian state, then why is the will of the people not done?
7. They didnt poll me - I Vote Nay
(10.23.06)
8. 54% is a majority, only by 4 % lol
Realist ,   Earth   (10.23.06)
It will keep getting lower, morons. Am Yisrael Chai!!!
9. THEY ALL READY HAVE ONE
(10.23.06)
The entire Middle East except for little Israel is a Palestinian state. They will never ACCEPT anything other than full Jewish removal of "their" land, dont you get it.
10. To No. 6
NYC Girl   (10.23.06)
John, surely you jest. I can't believe that, by now, everybody doesn't know the reason why there isn't any Palestinian state. It's because the Palestinians don't want one. What they want is the removal of Israel from the Middle East. Had that not been the case they would have had their undeserved state a long time ago. And if you don't believe me, just read what Bill Clinton had to say about his dealings with Yasser Arafat.
11. How many Palestinians Support an Israeli State?
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (10.23.06)
If they really wanted a "Palestinian State" they could have declared one at any time during the past 13 years and they would have been recognized by more nations than currently recognize the state of Israel. The logical conclusion is that Palestinians do not want a Palestinian State they want the Israeli state.
12. ARABS IN GAZA/WSTBNK SHOULD TAKE A PIECE OF JORDAN

13. From the same Poll
tinashkuli   (10.23.06)
Poll: 81% of U.S. Jews believe Arabs want to destroy Israel http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/777950.html
14. To #6 NYC Girl
John ,   USA   (10.23.06)
I would say the Palestinians most certainly want their own state, ask any Palestinian. I would say all the leaders involved either don't want, can't allow, or are unable to make it so. So why is that?
15. I Dont! don't reward terror!
David ,   New York, NY, USA   (10.23.06)
16. Heads up their Asses
malcolm   (10.23.06)
Few want to face the fact that Israel is on the verge of destruction. The older ones still fantasize about the "Jerusalem of Gold" days of the 67 war and Israel’s invincibility. They can't conceive otherwise and thus cling to the slick talking Armani suited political bullshit artist, Olmert. These are the offspring of the same delusional Jews who looked the other way during the Nazi era and chose to deny the reports that were surfacing ("We didn't know!!!"). Expect another whirlwind trip of the American Jewish community on Olmert's trip to the US. The bullshit will be flying and the checks will be flowing. He’ll do an hour with Charlie Rose for the New York Times crowd and maybe Larry King for the Heartland. He will return with good news. "The Jews of America support his policies!!!".He will try to feed that to Israelis like he's now trying to feed them the Russian bullshit. Enjoy the show.
17. Americans’ awakening & understanding cause of mideast turmoi
jj ,   usa   (10.23.06)
Must be a great worry for Jewish occupation in Palestine, especially now that most Americans don’t believe the crap the media shows them about the mideast.
18. I also support Jordan
Arie ,   Afula   (10.23.06)
19. US Jews
Avraham ,   Netivot   (10.23.06)
If US Jews want to have a say in how to run our country, let them make Aliyah, otherwise let them mind their own business. We Israelis don't give a hoot what they say or think while living in the relative calm back in the States.
20. Poll of US Jews
Hinda ,   Sonoma County, Calif   (10.23.06)
I agree with #7 - I wasn't polled. I wonder if they polled those who have to undergo scrutiny at UCSF who have had rocks thrown at them because they are Jewish by the Muslim Student Union. Were the students at Stanford University part of the poll (where Yossi Beillin is an "honorary" professor and whom we have to thank for giving us Oslo and the constant intifada's of those who follow Prophet Arafat)? Was CAIR asked these questions or even were the ISM asked, because they love to tell people they are Jewish when they are followers of Prophet Sheikh Yassin the perfector of the Homicide Bomb Belt and Children that Blow Up - Just Ask Mariam Farahat the Parliament member of the "Palestinians." Oh maybe Ray Hanania's wife was asked while she smiled under the portrait of Arafat in her living room.
21. Poll to US Jews - to #19
Hinda ,   Sonoma County   (10.23.06)
Dear Avraham, this poll does not represent the majority of the Jews I know, nor the realization that this poll is bogus shines through. Do we in the diaspora really want a "new palestine?" Only if the Arabs really show they want peace instead of practicing the verbage of their new Prophet Arafat and his boyfriend Yassin. As a 3rd generation American Jew, I was one of the ones snookered by Hannah Ashwari when she visited Northern California in the late 90's talking about how her "people" will live better with the funding by American Jews and non-Jews. But what did she do wit the money? Tried to build a villa overlooking San Francisco Bay which was stopped when someone complained that she was building on protected lands. But that didn't stop her she was able, as was most of her colleagues to take the money and build various palaces around the Middle East and her people are just "fine." In closing, this Jewess from the US does not support an Arafatland. I support Israel and since I am not there, I have no right to tell you how to live. But I ask that YOU as an Israeli PLEASE do not APPEASE those who teach their children to murder innocents. And please take back the Temple Mount from the Waqf Authority. Shalom
22. peace
isiaiah   (10.23.06)
peace can still be reached because people want the good life .a land swap a shared jerusalem right of return but only for those capable of living in peace with jews can work. but israel will have to be an almighty military deterrant force to achieve this and the two states will have to be enveloped in strict security for peace.
23. to #11
dov jacobs ,   hasmonaim, israel   (10.23.06)
That is b.s. all the way. Nearly all the Palastinians want a Palistinan State. Alot of my freinds lived in Elei Sinai. That is in Gaza. They were expelled from there homes by the Israeli Army that I used to admire. Now there is a Palastinian flag on top of the shul were there used to be an Israeli flag. The first day that the Arabs moved into Eilei Sinai they put on a Palastian flag at the old entrance to the yishuv. Why is that if most of the Palistinians want a Jewish state huh.
24. To John and NYC Girl
Besalel ,   Kew Gardens, NY   (10.23.06)
The Palestinians want a Palestinian state to replace the Jewish state in its entirety. In other words, the reason they want a Palestinian state is because they cannot think of a different way to get rid of the Jewish one. The reason the Palestinians do not have their own state is because they have only been offered one that allows for Israel to continue to exist. As for American Jews, they unfortunately, blindly follow what the popular media tells them to follow. For the past 25 years Israel and America has been shoving this two state option in our face and rubbing our nose in it. We've become obedient. The thinkers, however, believe it is time for a different approach - a global solution that allows the Palestinians to escape the cycle of violence to one of 22 other Arab countries currently set up around tiny, tiny, Israel.
25. Americans
dana ,   ny   (10.23.06)
If you poll only American Jews that exclusively have Halachically Jewish Grandchildren or children, the results would be quite different.
26. They did not poll me I vote Nay Too
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (10.23.06)
I guess they polled for AJC members that have the money to be a member because I was not polled. But for the record I am against a Pali state and also I belive they want to destroy us.
27. #6, You ask if we want a state?
ahamad ahabal ,   gaza   (10.23.06)
That would mean making peace with the jews. That would mean compromising. Don't you realize that it is hard work to have your own country. You have to create jobs for the people, take care of the elderly, collect taxes, improve the peoples standard of living, do business with the outside world instead of collect charity from europe, teach our children to employ themselves instead of implode themselves, throw away our textbooks teaching that the jews are evil, starting a new chapter and moving forward instead of standing still. No, I don't like all of that, it sounds like hard work. Making peace with the jews will make our people look at our leaders in a different light with new expectations. We don't want that.
28. No more violent responses!
Lior ,   UK   (10.23.06)
If you grow the seeds of violence and war, you will probably receive its violent fruits! Beat a child and he will probably be a violent man. Violence is not the solution. God does not support violence!
29. Most US Jews support Palestinian state
silvio ,   italy   (10.23.06)
I think that the Moslems suffer of a complex of inferiority towards the Hebrews. Of fact, in the history the priority of the establishment of the unique God is from Israel. This does spring the desire of retaliation with the violence of the Islam on the Judaism, also of affirm the own dominion. And this religious violence will prevent a nod of any dialogue forever. Israel + WB to the Israelis. The Sinai to the Palestinians.
30. THERE was no ARAB terrorism
USA ,   USA   (10.23.06)
