I agree that no news source is likely to be unbiased BUT we in the UK have to PAY for the bias of the BBC. We don't have a choice about funding its political, social and religious bias. I don't like certain newspapers so I don't buy them. I can't do that with the BBC.

I do sympathise with Jews in Britain that have to pay their tv licence and then put up with all the BS from the BBC, that would be out of commission if not for the licence payments. That's why I stopped watching network news long ago. It's become infotainment, and badly biased at that. If a left-winger says something, they report it as fact. If a right-winger says something, they'll preface it with, "Conservatives claim..." And those News Programs are even worse. It's fake news. There is an easy way to spot fake news. Surely you know that acquiring knowledge and wisdom about yourself and the world requires more than reading the pages of many news sites. Not only might you broaden the scope of your education by reading a host of research publications (from academia, think tanks, etc) but you might also pay a visit to the areas in question, as many of us have. Some even volunteer and work among the people in these areas (I personally have not). Couch potato information will not enable you to grow as a person. It will ultimately entertain/distract you away from actually doing anything useful.

Goebbels invented the concept of argumentum ad nauseam, which means you repeat a lie over and over again until it's accepted as fact. Fox News takes it to new heights telling us they are "fair and balanced." If you really believe Fox is fair and balanced, you bring warmth to o'le Goebbel's heart. Try reading some other sources sometime, not just the ones you want to believe.

The BBC, CBS, Fox, ABC, NBC, IBC, CBC, and on and on are all players in the same game. The media game is about touting to their constituents. In the BBC's case, they still feel as though they have a presence in the middle east. Someone forgot to tell them that they lost out to al-jazzera years ago. The Muslims in Britain don't even watch the BBC. One other note, why is there no mention of Buddha or creation, preservation, and dissolution and recreation? I am not even a player, just a spectator. So John, what was the real story about Katrina that the BBC reported and no one else did? Was it all about the murders & rapes in the superdome? Because not a single rape victim has come forward, and there were NO dead bodies in the Superdome? Was it the 10s of of thousands who died because of inactivity (actually the death toll was less than 2000).
