Like the American media, there is a liberal bias to all of its reporting. Severe restrictions were put on Palestinian euntreprenural activities, diminishing the Palestinian economy to nothing more than an economy dependent on Israel for its wealth. Since there were a lack of businesses in Palestine, Palestinians were more or less forced to work for Israeli employers, who often treated them poorly. Palestinian homes have been destroyed, farms seized, livelihoods ruined, and futures denied, all with Israel being able to avoid responsibility for any of these actions in the sizable majority of the West. Now, as Palestinians struggle for their freedom, the Western media has painted them as nothing more than barbaric terrorists. In the vast majority of media outlets a Palestinian death is a number, whereas an Israeli death is a full story affair. Israel's inhuman system of checkpoints and its illegal wall, which steals Palestinian land, and often separates farmers from their crops, are justified in the name of security. I'm not justifying terrorist attacks against civilians, but to be realistic, Israeli pain afflicted on Palestinians is at least as great as Palestinian pain afflicted on Israelis. Imagine if you were a Palestinian. What would you do if you have a college degree, but accordingly have no great hope for employment in your homeland. Everyday you had to be humiliated and treated like an animal as you travel through checkpoints INSIDE the West Bank. You've seen your property taken and your house destroyed. Or you've had brothers, sisters, cousins, a mother or father, unjustly jailed or killed. How would your attitude be towards the Israelis who have done this to you? Terrorism is evil and Israel has the right to exist, but why is this pain that Israel inflicts on Palestinians any more justifiable than terrorism?And no I'm not a Muslim, I'm just an American Christian who beleives that freedom and justice should be given to all people, including Palestinians.
