Those haridim do everything they can to be hated . They better go to live in Gaza or Teheran . Has the police opened an inquiry ? let them pay , cut off their subsidies .

Its too bad that you have fallen for the media trap. We all know that in every society there are some crazy people. Ynet is just exploiting it because this is what people like to read. Charles - Focus on bridging the gap with in our people, we have enough enemies already!!!

alon charif ,   sydney, australia   (10.25.06)
their burning down of jewish shops in the jewish state further undermine the rebuilding of our jewish homeland. they are jew haters and this must not go on. we must protest
5. Why blaming all haredim??
Joe   (10.25.06)
This is only done by the kanoim the same people that keep on blasting Israel (not just zionists) on everything. It is a radical element composed of only a few thousand prople.
6. Send them to Iran
Nadav ,   Misgav   (10.25.06)

Look at another article , where a Rabbi says "muslims are better than reform" . Who sprays hatred ? Are only the non-observants to be tolerant ?

HATE HAREDIM HATE HAREDIM HATE HAREDIM HATE HAREDIM LOVE ARABS LOVE ARABS LOVE ARABS LOVE ARABS pay no attention to the gang rape of that girl in Carmiel by an arab mob. Arabs are good. Haredim are bad. Repeat after me...
9. Same causes produce same effects
Hiram ,   Trondheim   (10.25.06)
Jewish ultras = Islamist ultra . same obscurantism, same intolerance. And then we give lessons to the rest of the world ? Religion is suppose to put people together ( religare ) not make them become dictators of the mind . Ex Nihilo ....nihil ! for those who understand Latin !
10. Interesting HATE MONGERING #3
Barry ,   Tel Aviv   (10.25.06)
Last week, I went on an organized tour of the old city of Jerusalem. The secular tour guide told our group that the Hareidim were vermin that had to be exterminated in order to make Israel a great country. Based on this, all secular Jews are capable of being barbaric, right? Of course right. Or is this just one extremist? By the way, we cancelled the tour immediately, and reported this guide to the Tourism Ministry (we also included a copy of the video one of our group took).

NYC Girl   (10.25.06)
You're right about Brooklyn. That's exactly where I would send them. They can't do as much damage there. Not only that, they're really bad for Israel's image. They make the country appear to be some sort of medieval theocracy when that definitely isn't the case. People wouldn't believe how many time I've been asked if I'm Orthodox because I'm married to an Israeli, which is pretty ironic since we're both atheists, but after I while I felt I was going to haul off at the next person who asked me that question.
12. NO-ONE will stop me showing my cleavage!!!!!
Talula ,   Israel   (10.25.06)
Don't look if it offends you. Someone should be throwing a bleach mix on the religious, maybe it will improve the smell. And before you all scream, I suggest you stand next to one on a hot summer day, they positively PONG!!!
13. #1 - guess it doesn't happen down
Pole Dancer ,   Israel   (10.25.06)
Golders Green Road. Maybe you should walk a mile in an Israeli's shoes before you preach.
14. Same As Taliban
emanon ,   USA   (10.25.06)
Manner of dress has no reflection on a person's beliefs. I find no conflict between short skirts and Judaism, no conflict between a man at the beach in a tight bathing suit and Judaism. Yes, I do have personal limits in good taste and short, tight or otherwise revealing clothing, but it in no way diminishes my Jewishness. The Haredi attitude almost makes you wonder why they are not extinct. Or do they stay dressed for that too?

can't you read ? I'm living in Israel , and I'm walking kilometers in my Israeli shoes .
17. My family
Ma ,   PT   (10.25.06)
consisting of daughter and grand daughters, are not charedim, and spent half a day during Succot in Geula. They dress modern style with shortish sleeves and skirts. No one said a word to them and they came home raving about how enjoyable it was. Trust Oynet and mates to fan the fires of hatred. Maybe they'll write an article on their pleasant visit. Guess who won't publish it? Y, you're right...

gy ,   bn   (10.25.06)
They were shops owned by chareidim-so i don't think you make much sense to put all chareidim in the same boat.
19. Dearest Charles
paul ,   hadera   (10.25.06)
All your views on chareidim seem to stem from what you read. I'm sure if you pluck up the courage and converse with real life chareidim-you would see how nice they are. Good luck!!
20. To Talula
jewish mother ,   jerusalem   (10.25.06)
How old are you? Pong? I guess that puerile, unsubstantiated insults are all you can manage. I consider myself Charedi, my friends are Charedi doctors, lawyers, lecturers and academics.I have never been "bleached", I read the news on the internet (obviously) go to the theater, and have a Masters from an Ivy League college. I regularly use deoderant and so do my friends. If you were standing next to me, I'd tell you to put your breasts away-save them for whichever poor sucker is unfortunate enough to crawl into your bed this week. Are you this pleasant about everyone?? Or just people you don't know anything about.?
21. #4 And How About Dressing MODESTLY
H ,   Jerusalem   (10.25.06)
so that we should be able to rebuild a JEWISH homeland with JEWISH values??? And for those who got sprayed with bleach or fear the bleach spray - do NOT walk into the neighborhood of the haredim if you're not modestly dressed. Blame YOURSELVES for what happened. The haredi neighborhood is NOT an immodest swimming pool. So dress appropriately!
22. Re: Geulah fanatics? or safeguarding yiddishkeit?
not a chareidi, but ,   jewish world   (10.25.06)
Yes, it's wrong to cause damage to others deliberately, hope those store-owners received monetary compensation for their destroyed property (and not just from insurance company). But, the chareidim's vigilance towards a tsiniut society should be lauded, as should those who want to protect shabbat and kashrut in eretz yisroel. Too bad the non-religious feel they know better than G-d and lack ability to follow basic Torah laws. But, there must be a better way. These men should not be looking at women, let them go to shadchanim, stop attacking and begin dialogue instead. Perhaps non-chareidi should be the ones to stop trying to ruin Jewish society and both sides behave in a more menchelich manner. Fanatics on either side should not be tolerated and those store owners can move to other areas, why need to encroach on chareidi areas? Geulah is a lovely area and noted for its book shops and kosher eateries and yeshivot. It is not Tel Aviv with all its pritzut. And, Israel is not America. Torah must be reinvested into the gov't before too late. True Yiddishkeit must be preserved. (Anybody ever hear of Ezra and Nehemiah??)
23. charidim
charles ,   petach tikva   (10.25.06)
Of course , there are charidim , tolerant and loving others , even non believers . You don't have problems with them , and i try not to hurt them in their beliefs . It's a pity that so many other charidim are so hatefull . I do NOT need any paper to make my opinion . It's not by reading them that i don't like non tolerant people .

Pretty Woman ,   TA   (10.25.06)
Yes, you do sound a bit Taloony. Desperate for attention? What on earth are you doing in Geula standing next to charedim on hot days.....? No one else on e.g.shenkin, will look at you maybe, so you travel elsewhere for attention? Real gorgeous gals dont need sad attempts at exhibitionism. Check it out, in Geula too, ha ha!

Golders Green Road is full of yordim bubele, so the view's the same .

27. Kyle the Fool's stupid statement
Israeli ,   Israel   (10.25.06)
The police are trying to pay attention, but the only details she could give the police was the car they were driving. She could give no other helpful information. Besides, it's not like the Haredim are pure, they also commit their fair share of molesting and raping. All rapists should be castrated. Now why don't you just grow up or go and read a kid's comic book.
28. nasty and vicious
megan ,   Israel   (10.25.06)
to pour bleach on someone, dangerous too. They are an afront to human society...and that goes for anyone, heridi or heloni or whatever. To destroy peoples property because they don't like what is sold there is criminal. And now with this article now even Hilonim will probably judge all heridim to be the same. We are Jews trying to keep our country, but then if we didn't have our enemies...we could have quite a nice little war of our own...dont you think?
29. #20
Jewish Mother ,   Givatayim   (10.25.06)
You are terrific. Told it to her in the language she deserves and understands. Ynet and friends don't like our sort of chareidim and datiyim though, as we kinda spoil the continuous hate mantra they all thrive on. Write more often, please, even if just to annoy 'em... with your deodarant, degreeand theatre, wow, they'll platz for sure...
30. THERE IS A TORAH
HASHEM IS EVERYWHERE ,   BROOKLYN USA   (10.25.06)
I UNDERSTAND THAT THE CHARIDIM ARE NOT RIGHT BY DOING THIS KIND OF ACT, BUT AFTER ALL THERE IS SOMEBODY THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO ANSWER AFTER YOUR DEATH, WHY YOU DID NOT DRESS THE PROPER WAY WITH RESPECT TO THE TORAH.
