I remember reading somewhere, too, that Cair has opened or is opening an office in DC. That place should look like a regular pigeon coop for the moonbats.

(words in parenthesis are mine) http://www.gop.com/media/2004platform.pdf The Broader Middle East and North Africa "We support President Bush’s vision of two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security....... (Jewish Removal Act) "Republicans agree with President Bush that Israel’s plan to remove all settlements from Gaza and several settlements from the West Bank is a courageous step toward peace in the face of continuing terrorist violence. This initiative can stimulate progress toward peace as laid out in the Road Map launched by President Bush. "Republicans commend the government of Israel for its desire to pursue peace, even in the face of continuing terrorist attacks. This is demonstrated by steps Israel has taken, such as removing unauthorized outposts and improving the humanitarian situation by easing restrictions on the movement of Palestinians not engaged in terrorist activities."

I'm afraid that you're right: Muslims, Arabs, call them what you want to, do not want peace. And why should you give back territory that you fought for after they attacked you? Maybe you should have packed up the whole lot and put them on a "reservation" in the middle of some desert. Now, we could have taught you how to do that. Just ask our native Indians.
35. To Monk #30
George ,   Atlanta, GA   (10.28.06)
I don't disagree on Rice. However, with all Bush's inconsistencies, he is the most friendly to Israel president in a long time, if not ever. Nowhere close to disasters brought on Israel by the likes of Carter (think who made Iranian Revolution possible) and Clinton (the peace-at-the-Jews'-expense maker). Pelosi? I don't think so. You have a narrow, but simple choice.

Thanks for your response. Let's be honest about something. Ms. Rice is anti-Semitic. Will you at least acknowledge this? She is pro-Arab and anti-Israel. Rice was Mr. Bush's choice as National Security Advisor and now U.S. Secretary of state. I believe George W. Bush is also a Jew-hater but let's stick with Rice for the time being. Bush selected Ms. Rice as his Secretary of State to replace the anti-Semitic Colin Powell. Rice is saying the things Bush does not want to say in order to not upset his conservative pro-Israel Christian base. I believe Mr. Bush is a phony Christian (he belongs to the pro-abortion, anti-Israel Methodist church) and he's been playing his Christian base magnificently --- see the following: http://www.amazon.com/Tempting-Faith-Inside-Political-Seduction/dp/0743287126/sr=1-1/qid=1161893683/ref=sr_1_1/102-2308257-7364950?ie=UTF8&s=books You say Bush is friendly. I don't see a self-professed Christian who wants rip the land of Israel apart and create a Muslim Jihadist state in the mountains overlooking the coastal plains of Israel, the most friendly-to- Israel president. I see him as a phony Christian and very unfriendly. Carter is an enemy of Israel I agree with you and Clinton was a disaster. I am not defending the Democrats. It's just that I expect so much more from Republicans who claim to be Christians. Should I expect Christians to reward Muslim jihadists by dividing the Holy Land and creating a Muslim terrorist state? Why shouldn't we expect more from conservative Christians than this. Please don't tell me "we are all sinners." Thanks.
38. Get it right
Sidney ,   USA   (10.28.06)
If the Democrats win in November, Nancy Pelossi will not be majority leader, she will be speaker of the house, a much more powerful position. She would be next in line for succession to the president after the vice president.
39. #38, get it right
Monk   (10.28.06)
If this should happen Sidney, who do Republicans have to blame? Who would you blame? What Muslim terrorist is George W. Bush not in bed with? Al Maliki? Mahmoud Abbas? Ahmadinejad who he want to negotiate with? What about Sauddi King Abdullah? Who do you blame for this Sidney?
40. That's the whole point Dorothy 12#
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (10.28.06)
There is no timetable for a war you dreg. Who in the hell appointed a bunch of whimpering whining Democrats, to decide how long a war takes to fight in the first place? Wars take as long as they take, that's why they are called war and not NFL Football. There isn't a buzzer for when you finish and get to go home. But you can fight the Germans for three and a half years---and then get led into the gas chamber. It makes perfectly good sense to me. I'll go into the gas chamber---I am sick of the war---It's taking to long. Take my life please---I wouldn't want to have the freedom to go shopping at Macy's tonight! This is the problem with the entire argument for giving up and running Dorothy. You end up getting conquered and killed by Muslim fanatics in the end. And I used to be a Democrat. And I have to tell you to grow a spine?
41. #41 You misunderstood me
Sidney ,   USA   (10.28.06)
I simply stated facts in my posting. As for my personal opinion, I have voted for our local Democratic candidate for Congress. As far as I am concerned, Bush is the worst president in American history. As for his support for Israel, it would disappear in a minute if he deemed it politcally expedient.

been filmed kissing the Saudi Kings ass. Michael Moore only showed clips of Bush doing so for his misinforming ilk, distributed by the Democratic Party cloned wantabees. Why didn't you mention Clinton, Kennedy, Ike, Nixon, Roosevelt and all the others? Disinformation is like your behind, being wiped with toilet paper. Everyones full of sh*t!

Carter Book Slaps Israel With ‘Apartheid’ Tag, Provides Ammo to GOP Jennifer Siegel | Tue. Oct 17, 2006 As Republicans step up their efforts to paint Democrats as increasingly hostile toward Israel, former President Jimmy Carter is releasing a book on the Middle East, titled “Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid.” Article tools Text size: Larger | Smaller Print this article Email this article Other articles by Jennifer Siegel More in News Judging from an advance review manuscript of the new work, published by Simon & Schuster and set for release November 14, Carter places the bulk of the blame on Israel for its continuing conflict with the Palestinians. But critics of the former president probably will be most offended by his use of the word “apartheid” in the book’s title and text. Israel’s current policy in the territories, Carter writes in the book’s summary, is “a system of apartheid, with two peoples occupying the same land but completely separated from each other, with Israelis totally dominant and suppressing violence by depriving Palestinians of their basic human rights.” In a separate passage in the advance draft, the former president stated that “Israel’s continued control and colonization of Palestinian land have been the primary obstacles to a comprehensive peace agreement in the Holy Land.” In addition, Carter takes what is being interpreted by some critics as a swipe at the pro-Israel lobby. “Because of powerful political, economic, and religious forces in the United States, Israeli government decisions are rarely questioned or condemned,” the former president writes. Carter’s book comes as the Republican Jewish Coalition is already waging a nationwide media campaign to convince Jewish voters that the Democratic Party no longer can be counted on to provide unflinching support for Israel. (See story on Page A6.) One of the recent RJC ads features a large image of Carter and quotes the former president as saying, “I don’t think Israel has any legal or moral justification for their massive bombing of the entire nation of Lebanon.” Simon & Schuster spokeswoman Elizabeth Hayes confirmed the substance of the quotes from Carter’s book, but said that the wording could change in the final edition.

45. Support values not politics
Ben ,   Pittsburgh, PA   (10.28.06)
A politician like Pelosi holds in highest regard the value of a representative government and the right of self-determination. Accordingly, she recognizes the need for change on the ground so that Israel maintains a Jewish identity and that Palestinians may govern themselves. This focus extends beyond blind support of funding for Israeli initiatives for which the Republican Party is known, and attends to a need recognized by moderate Israelis and Palestinians. Constructive thinking and persistent attention by American leaders provides opportunity for developments that lead to the end of violence and promote freedom and democracy in the region.
46. #42 Steven Wilson
Monk   (10.28.06)
Come on Steven. Please don't give me all this nonsense. Answer that points that I made about Bush and the Republicans. Bush is the very first U.S. President to make the establishment of a Palestinian Muslim terrorist state, a formal goal of U.S. policy. Yes or no Steven? Haven't Bush, Powell and now Rice condemned Israel for defending herself against Muslim terrorism? Yes or no Steven? Whose behind are you kissing Steven?
47. Grandma Pelosi
Jeanne Dunn ,   United States   (10.28.06)
Are you kidding me. Pelosi has only one thing in mind, being the frist female speaker of the house. You had better start praying for both Isreal and the U.S; if this happens. Because, she will sell us both out to the terrorists in a hot New York minnet. She and her party don't even believe Islam and the Muslams are a threat. Be careful what you wish for you might get it...........jl U.S.A.
48. And the Israeli government of Sharon went right
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (10.28.06)
along with it. I was addressing the Michael Moore talking points about only Bush meeting the Saudi's. How about including all the Presidents. They are all in bed with the Saudi's. It's not just Bush. I already know Bush pushed the two State Terrorist Solution. I wasn't disagreeing with that. If the President really gave a shit---he would be making it mandatory to switch over to other fuels rather than oil. If you don't send terrorists money--they can't fund terrorism. The President should build an Alaskan gas pipeline with Federal Funds. He should also drill off of the East and West coasts for oil. Open up the Artic Wildlife Refuge, and build water pipelines from the Great Lakes to the Midwest to produce ethanol. Just because Bush is naive enough to believe that the Muslims want peace in the end isn't reason enough to hate him. Sharon gave away the land, not Bush. It's going to go nuclear in the end anyways. These nut bags in Iran will be the demise of the entire Middle East. Bush won't be the one dropping the bomb on Israel. I wouldn't of given the Arabs any land back if it were me. We could have Jimmy Carter for president--Kerry, Clinton, and Pilosi have a lot in common with him. They are all a bunch of pascifist pussies.
49. Monk-- Do you really believe Powell and Rice
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (10.28.06)
are anti-semetic. Have they made statements that have been heard by anyone. I'd be interested if you have any proof. They are pushing American policy if you ask me. Playing the middle of the road as not to offend the Muslims. I don't really believe Powell or Rice hate Jews. I think they are misguided by believing the Muslims will make peace with the Jews. But isn't all of Europe also? It will never happen. The Muslims want the Jews heads.
50. #45 Ben from Pittsburg
Monk ,   USA   (10.28.06)
Ben, you wrote: "A politician like Pelosi holds in highest regard the value of a representative government and the right of self-determination." Ben, this is so much hogwash. Are you for real? The so-called right of "Self Determination" was Woodrow Wilson's nightmarish utopianism; like his League of Nations. Wilson had no idea what the term meant and neither did his Secretary of Sate Robert Lansing. "It will raise hopes which can never be realized. It will I fear cost thousands of lives. In the end it is bound to be discredited, to be called the dream of an idealist who failed to realize the danger until it was too late to check those who attempt to put the principle into force," wrote Lansing. Go back and read a little history Ben. Self-determination was fine for nations Wilson thought should have it. Other peoples like the Irish could go fly a kite in Wilson's mind because he despised the Irish. At the 1919 Paris peace conference he told a delegation of Irish nationalists to "go to hell." "Self determination" is meaningless. What does it mean Ben? Should every group around the world that demands its own autonomous state be given self-determination? What about the Kurds? Why isn't Rice demanding a state for the Kurds? Why not give Chechnya their own state and carve it out of Russia? Or how about the Native Americans, give them all the land west of the Mississippi as Andrew Jackson promised? Why doesn't Pelosi demand China give the Tibetians thier own state or why doesn't she demand the Phillipines be granted sovereignty? The colonisation of the North American continent and its Native American population has been the source of legal battles since the early 1800's. "The Westward push of European-American settlers eventually brought about the destruction of most Native American cultures, and what few remained were reduced to living on reservations." Why didn't Wilson and now Pelosi address this outrage?

52. LAND for WAR: Muslim Professor Explains PEACE
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (10.28.06)
Addressing a youth session at the 1999 Islamic Association for Palestine's annual convention in Chicago, CAIR founder Omar Ahmad praised suicide bombers who "kill themselves for Islam," http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=52184 The U.S. EU UN Road Map plan to Israel's annihilation - giving huge chunks of Jewish ancestral Holy Land to Islamists as a reward for barbarism and mass murder, is an unprecedented attack on the very foundation of Western civilization and the Laws of G-D upon which our civilization is based. In Islam, Israel, the U.S. and all countries that are not Muslim, are regarded as Dar al-Harb - the House of War - to be conquered for Islam. Council on American-Islamic Relations: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth." - Omar Ahmad (CAIR co-founder). On "Islam is peace", Bassam Tibi, a Muslim professor at Goettingen University in Germany, gave a speech: "Both sides should acknowledge candidly that although they might use identical terms these mean different things to each of them," he said. "The word 'peace,' for example, implies to a Muslim the extension of the Dar al-Islam -- or 'House of Islam' -- to the entire world. This is completely different from the Enlightenment concept of eternal peace that dominates Western thought." Only when the entire world is a Dar al-Islam will it be a Dar a-Salam, or "House of Peace." Peace will be achieved by Islam when the entire non-Muslim world is conquered - subjugated under Muslim masters ruled by sharia law - a merciless world where human rights and freedom are utterly destroyed. 53. Come on--Wilson told Ho Chi Min to take a hike also
(10.28.06)
Needless to say all the Women Protestors at the White House that he locked up and had beaten. Womens rights blah! Just think, if Wilson had told the French to leave Vietnam, and treated Ho Chi Min like a Human being, we might have not have had to fight the War in Vietnam. The communists were the only people who would treat Ho Chi Min as a human being. And Roosevelt was going to tell the French not to go back after the war. But alas, he died, and Truman said, "Go ahead, keep Vietnam." Two huge political mistakes, with an unsuccessful war to solve them.

You wrote: "Do you really believe Powell and Rice are anti-semetic? " Yes. First, tell us that you aren't Jewish so we know where you are coming from. You wrote: "Have they made statements that have been heard by anyone. I'd be interested if you have any proof. They are pushing American policy if you ask me. Playing the middle of the road as not to offend the Muslims. I don't really believe Powell or Rice hate Jews." I don't know what they say privately. But for an honest colleague who acknowledged James Baker III said, "F--- the Jews they don't vote for us anyway," how would we know? I'm guessing you think it's a stretch for me to think Baker and Bush Sr. are anti-Semitic? I watch what Powell and Rice do and say. I don't need to be privy to private conversations. Let's look at some history. Remember, right after the September 11, 2001 atrocities when Mr. Bush annouced his vision for a Palestinian terrorists state? Ariel Sharon's response: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0110/06/smn.06.html CNN SATURDAY MORNING NEWS Israel and the U.S. Involved in a Public Spat Aired October 6, 2001 - 09:21 ET THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED. JOHN KING, CNN SENIOR WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT: As the president tries to build this international coalition, a major target of the White House effort, moderate Arab nations. But as the president reaches out to the Arab world, some tensions and remarkably blunt exchanges back and forth between the United States and a long- time ally. (Placed in context: Shibley Telhami, a Middle East expert at the University of Maryland, agrees that Bush formally made creating a Palestinian state the goal of U.S. policy, largely to appeal to the Muslim world at a time when the United States had attacked Afghanistan. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/10/04/AR2005100401410.html) (BEGIN VIDEOTAPE) (voice-over): A truce after a rare and blunt war of words between Israel and the United States. In a statement issued late Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon noted the, quote, "deep friendship and special relationship" between the two nations and saluted President Bush for a, quote, "bold and courageous decision to fight terrorism." It was an about-face from a day earlier, when Sharon lashed out. ARIEL SHARON, ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER: “I call on the Western democracies and primarily the leader of the free world, the United States: Do not repeat the dreadful mistake of 1938 when enlightened European democracies decided to sacrifice Czechoslovakia for a convenient temporary solution. Do not try to appease the Arabs on our expense. This is unacceptable to us. Israel will not be Czechoslovakia. Israel will fight terrorism.” KING: What angered Washington most was Sharon's comparison to Europe ceding parts of Czechoslovakia to Hitler, suggesting that in its aggressive effort to court Arab nations for the coalition against terrorism, the United States was turning its back on Israel's security. ARI FLEISCHER, WHITE HOUSE SPOKESMAN: The president believes that these remarks are unacceptable. Israel can have no better or stronger friend than the United States, and better friend than President Bush. KING: Secretary of State Colin called Sharon once to voice the president's displeasure, then again later, after the prime minister agreed to issue a conciliatory statement." This, Steven Wilson, is a Jew hater. Powell and Rice are not "playing the middle of the road." They are enemies of the Jewish state. Why should we care if Muslim terrorists are offended at any rate?

whether you really believed they were anti semetic. I'm hoping the idiots can get past the oil and give Israel support for a change. If the Presidents of the past had gotten us off the oil dole, this kissing the Shieks hiney wouldn't be taking place right now. How can Brazil be energy independant on Ethanol with the same population the United States has? I'm tired of Americans paying for terrorism. That's why I haven't been driving for the last eleven years. My grandfathers name was Salsman. Supposedly his long lost Ancestors of the Saltzman name had a fight, and the brother changed his name to Salsman. Who knows if they were Jewish or not. If you have any information let me know.
57. The EQUIVALENT of GIVING HALF of AMERICA to AL-QAIDA
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (10.29.06)
In an act of great moral depravity and evil, Israel’s Jews were forced to take savage PLO terrorists as “peace” partners. PLO terrorists were implanted into Israel through Oslo to commit mass murder and terrorism. THAT IS WHAT TERRORISTS DO. Every single one of the Palestinian Authority’s security services are involved in terrorist attacks against Israel. Heavily armed and trained. Financed by the nations, the PLO/PA conduct bloody, barbaric jihad against Israel’s Jews. The U.S. EU UN demand for an Islamic terror state in Israel, is the equivalent of implanting Al-Qaida into America. Arming, training, and financing Al-Qaida to go to war against the American populace and demanding half of America and Washington DC is given to Al-Qaida for an Islamic terrorist state.

MichaelF ,   Silver Spring MD USA   (10.29.06)
A vote for Democrats is a vote for Iran? Excuse me, but which party is more likely to support the pro-Iranian terrorist government of Iraq? The Republicans! Over the past year, Iraq has signed dozens of trade and military treaties and agreements with Iran. They agreed to let Iran rebuild their oil industry in exchange for Iraqi oil. The Iraqi government openly supports Hezbollah and a policy of genocide against Israel. That is why I am voting Democratic.

Pelosi has a strong voting record of supporting Israel. As for Clinton, need I remind you that his policy was to expand US-Israeli military cooperation? It was Clinton who began sending US Marines to the Negiv to be trained by Israelis in desert warfare. It was Clinton who proposed building facilities in Haifa for use by the US Navy.
