all (including Egypt, Lebanon , Jordan, and Syria) joined the NNPT; Israel did not. Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT or NNPT) is an international treaty, opened for signature on July 1, 1968 to limit the spread of nuclear weapons. 188 sovereign states are parties to the treaty, however, two (India and Pakistan) out of eight confirmed nuclear powers (i.e., those that have openly tested nuclear weapons), and one unconfirmed nuclear power (Israel) have neither signed nor ratified the treaty. Another nuclear power (North Korea) has withdrawn. The treaty was proposed by Ireland, and Finland was the first to sign. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_Non-Proliferation_Treaty

i do not discount your knowledge and you are 100% correct with your data. however..... NO ONE SHOULD BE REALLY WORRIED THAT ISRAEL WILL USE THE ATOMIC BOMB!!!! let me tell you, they will have to be down to the last surviving man on israeli soil to finally decide to push the button. it is just not in jewish nature, sir. jews are non violent! they've been persecuted enough and diminshed in numbers enough to just want to live in peace with everyone. unfortunatelly, the "behavior and military response" you see coming out of israel is because they can't take it anymore!!!!!!! what choices do we have. it's strike back and protect or get killed. and we love our country and life too much to let that happen. as to your comment, yes, no one should worry about israel and having one or many such bombs. i would worry, though, about backwards third world countries with limited education and progress and with death fundamentalist ideologies who want to wipe others off the face of the map. you very well know that arabs do not betray arabs. it seems to be so at time, but since they have israel as a common enemy percieved or not, most arab countries will follow in iran's footsteps with russian tech help. because of their ideologies and because of their religious beliefs regarding other societies and civilizations, and because death to them is of the highest honor, then yes....i would not want to see the bomb in these hands. at least israel is a modern democratic country. they don't kill for the sake of their religion and they don't kill for the after life. yes, i am much morfe secure with israel having the bomb than any of the arab nations in the middle east.
11. #10 why not ?
(10.29.06)
As it would be Israel's last, last choice and in fact impossible, then why not join the NNPT ?

i truly have no answer to your question and i imagine that israel didn't join because keeping their atomic research and their atomic bomb aquizition was of the highest necessity to stabilize the arab agenda in the middle east. not knowing what the israelis have gives israel the power to work independently in its decisions. too many countries want to interfere in the politics of the middle east and it's not in israel's benefit to let them do so. hence....the secrecy. i can assure you that the secrecy or not joining the nnpt has nothing to do with a sinister agenda on the israelis part. it must boil down to the fact that israel doesn't want any outside interference into their atomic research and for anyone to know what they do or don't have. suspense always keeps the bad guys on their toes! i trust 100% that they will never be the first to push the button. you can relax now! we jews love life too much
