We all have seen picture in NY times of Eyal organisation with weopons saying that they will kill supporters of Oslo. Full page. Now we know that the picture were made by Rabin's people. Their leader was chosen by Rabin. That all was staged and the journalist and other officials knew it. Nobody went to jail. Raviv, Rabin's agent, who told Amir "Kill Rabin!!!" is free. How do you explain it?

And what have you achieved with your vote? Absolutely nothing! Not to mention that even if the Likud had won the last election not much would have changed. At least Amir kekpt the Kasams off us for a few years, and maybe saved a few lives. Yes, Amir is a murderer, and in any sane country what he did would be considered horrible, but in any sane country the Prime Minister would be working to destroy th ose who want to destroy; his country, not help them. Israel did more to protect Israel than all of us current and former Likudniks combined: Whether he should have done it is a different question, but the fact remains that he did it.

It's shocking that anyone, regardless of their political viewpoints, can justify what Yigal Amir did. A civilized society doesn't condone the murder of someone whose political views are disagreed with. You vote at the ballot box.

Like national leaders destroyng the nation. I don't think anyone here condones murder, I certainly don't. But in Yigal Amir's case a pretty good argument could be made for self defense and even public service, as terrible as that sounds. As for the ballot box, that wouldn't have helped, Amir was/is in the underwhelming minority. The one question we could argue is whether the murder was justified considering that it was committed to save a country that didn't want to be saved.

I have read with growing horror the talkbacks on this subject and am shocked and appalled by the acceptance of a murderer. No I did not agree with Rabin's politcs. However there is no excuse for murder. For one Jew to kill another has got to be the saddest thing ever. We have enough problems with Anti-semites. I have said previously on talk backs that execution is the only way forward to someone who has been proven without a doubt to have blood on their hands. Yigal Amir is exactly the candidate for this. If we executed terrorists we would save a fortune as we would not have to supply them with food, board etc. As for Amir if he had been rightly executed all these talk backs would be irrelevant and would not feed the extremists a chance to have their say. Where has this whole insane conspiricy of "Amir didn't kill Rabin" or "the government hired Amir" come from? I was only seven when Rabin was shot, but I remember clearly watching that video of his assasination over and over where it was clearly shown that Amir pulled the trigger. And if Amir had been hired by Rabin's political opponents he would have said so, wouldn't he? Where did the concipricy theroy start?
