The Israeli government's PR is poor (and can you blame them?) thanks to the news coverage, most people around the world are aware of what is happening internally in the state of Israel. Israel's reputation is not as bad as you think it is. There is a lot of support for Israel around the world. Muslims are the ones with the bad reputations which they deserve for all the trouble they've caused.

A lot of tourists go to Israel for other than religious reasons. There are a plenty of them from Scandinavia who go to cities like Eilat for the climate, the beaches and the beautiful people. And if it were true that most people would prefer to go to Dubai, it would only be because they're afraid of the violence and mayhem being committed by the Palestinians. And, frankly, it's the mostly the American Jews who are scared shitless. In fact, I went to Israel during the height of the first so-called intifada, and there were still plenty of American Christian, European, and Japanese tourists.
