2. Begin: GRANTED our RIGHT to EXIST by G-D
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (11.01.06)
Menachem Begin, Prime Minister of Israel, said in 1977: We were granted our right to exist by the God of our fathers at the glimmer of the dawn of human civilization four thousand years ago. Hence, the Jewish people have an historic, eternal and inalienable right to exist in this land, Eretz Yisrael, the land of our forefathers. We need nobody's recognition in asserting this inalienable right. And for this inalienable right, which has been sanctified in Jewish blood from generation to generation, we have paid a price unexampled in the annals of nations.

The world is changing- and the jews just have to understand that not everyone likes or believes their version of GOD- so sorry- dont get your apartheid little hopes up. CIAO!!
5. Pres. Bush, not always right, but always trying to do right

Pres. Bush is a decent man whose integrity is demonstrated by his indifference to the the capricious and sanctimonious fools of the press.

Dear Linda Rivera, Great post and let me say I have read alot of your talkbacks and they are insightful, well written, and intelligent. Glad you're not on Fadi's side! :)
7. To(#2) Linda Rivera (..this inalienable Joke/right)
Amir AL-Safir ,   Lebanon   (11.01.06)
Dear Lindaaaaaaa.. ehemmm This inalienable right my… You guys speaketh from your worm ridden book. When you kill people to claim something inherent in your own idiosyncrasy, then you are at fault to yourself and to mankind. Who the hell is Bush. Who the hell is Begin Who the hell is your God Who the hell is your Israeli Ambassador to US. Who the hell has given you the inalienable right to kill and displace Palestinians from their own land. Wake up girl. Can’t you see that you can No Longer sell this inalienable false claim to the world today. Your claim is being held by the narrowest political string ever and the ants are swarming around your feet. Raid will not even kill them.. so don’t bother shopping at your local Home Depot or Loews stores. You have to be convincing in a more civil tone than this BS crap about your God and your new addition to sainthood, Menachem Begin, may his sole rest in…. something I will stop short of saying. Dear Linda, you are of a Western digest. Actually, you already are feeling indigestible like a hard pill to swallow. Look around you, you are not even a Semitic. If a Chinese Christian claims to be Semitic, the three Monkeys will be the first to “See, Listen, and Laugh at him. So dear Linda, you are simply of Western descent and have nothing to do with the like of the Arab Jews, or, even to your uncrowned Masters, the Palestinians. Peace for all inalienable mankind, including the Martians.. Amir
8. Fadi
Scott ,   Haifa   (11.01.06)
Ha-Ha...Bush is our friend....Neener, Neener.... Come on, we all know that the Arab right to return is an Islamic plot to destroy Israel from within. If your Palestinians or Arabs really cared for their people, why doesn't Jordan or Saudi Arabia or some other enormous tract of Arab owned land, give them some land? No one wants them, not even the Arabs. Look at Israel. We don't have oil. And yet, the Arab nations are fat and wealthy (and blessed) with an abundance of oil...and yet we, Israel, seem to be the root of all your problems. If we weren't here your lives would be happier (or so you allude). If we weren't here, then you would probably fight each other. And this shows the root of all your problems...you (even collectively) should take a deep look within, before you judge others. Remove the log from your own eye, before you try to remove the speck from others. You are just going to have to recognize that the God of Israel is God. You can't change that. When you accept that, your war will be over.
9. #4 - USA
Darren ,   Tampa, FL USA   (11.01.06)
It's obvious that he is the most hated president by YOU, but he did win two elections and in time he will be recognized to be right by many more...except as to the illegal alien invasion where he should deport them all and hasn't and he should stop saying "Islam is Peaceful" which is a lie. As to Israel (and America), it should not make a bit of difference what the rest of the world thinks. Israel (and the U.S.) should have told many in the world to go to hell along time ago. Israel should continue to remain militarily strong and continue to do what is right regardless how how some (or the rest) of the world reacts. I mean when did France, the U.N., or the elitist plutocrats in Brussels every say or do anything competent and/or fair as it relates to Israel or really as to anything else for that matter? They're all corrupt and unfairly biased against Israel and the U.S. has learned that they can't be trusted, they are unreliable, and ineffective. The U.S. should withdrawal from the corrupt U.N. and gather a coalition of like minded nations and operate within that newly formed international framework absent participation of tyranical and dictatorial nations like Syria, Iran, & North Korea. We could invite SOME in Europe, but eventualy Europe will become Eurabia. OH by the way, I appreciate having a fine man like Israeli Ambassador Danny Ayalon in the United States. He served his nation admirably and with great dedication. I wish there had been a link for the letter, but I can find it if it is posted on the web.
10. God who? This God "I AM"
Darren ,   Tampa, FL USA   (11.01.06)
Dear Amir AL-Safir: You asked: "Who the hell is your God"? It is this God. The One and ONLY True God who in the Book of the Prophets said: ZEC 12:1 Jerusalem's Victory An Oracle. The word of the LORD concerning Israel: Thus says the LORD, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the human spirit within: 2 See, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of reeling for all the surrounding peoples; it will be against Judah also in the siege against Jerusalem. 3 On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it shall grievously hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth shall come together against it. 4 On that day, says the LORD, I will strike every horse with panic, and its rider with madness. But on the house of Judah I will keep a watchful eye, when I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. 5 Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, "The inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the LORD of hosts, their God." ZEC 12:6 On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a blazing pot on a pile of wood, like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they shall devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, while Jerusalem shall again be inhabited in its place, in Jerusalem. ZEC 12:7 And the LORD will give victory to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not be exalted over that of Judah. 8 On that day the LORD will shield the inhabitants of Jerusalem so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the angel of the LORD, at their head. 9 And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. ZEC 12:10 Mourning for the Pierced One And I will pour out a spirit of compassion and supplication on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that, when they look on the one whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn. The Oracle continues but limited by space, but His Words will come True.
11. To #4&7-Future Warfare & Final Victory
Darren ,   Tampa, FL USA   (11.01.06)
To #4 USA - You said the world is changing. That is true, but see the outcome. To Amir AL-Safir it is this God who stated: ZEC 14:1 See, a day is coming for the LORD, when the plunder taken from you will be divided in your midst. 2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses looted and the women raped; half the city shall go into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. 4 On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives, which lies before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley; so that one half of the Mount shall withdraw northward, and the other half southward. 5 And you shall flee by the valley of the LORD's mountain, for the valley between the mountains shall reach to Azal; and you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of King Uzziah of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him. ZEC 14:6 On that day there shall not be either cold or frost. 7 And there shall be continuous day (it is known to the LORD), not day and not night, for at evening time there shall be light. ZEC 14:8 On that day living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea; it shall continue in summer as in winter. ZEC 14:9 And the LORD will become king over all the earth; on that day the LORD will be one and his name one. ZEC 14:10 The whole land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. But Jerusalem shall remain aloft on its site from the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the former gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king's wine presses. 11 And it shall be inhabited, for never again shall it be doomed to destruction; Jerusalem shall abide in security. ZEC 14:12 This shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh shall rot while they are still on their feet; their eyes shall rot in their sockets, and their tongues shall rot in their mouths. 13 On that day a great panic from the LORD shall fall on them, so that each will seize the hand of a neighbor, and the hand of the one will be raised against the hand of the other; 14 even Judah will fight at Jerusalem. And the wealth of all the surrounding nations shall be collected--gold, silver, and garments in great abundance. 15 And a plague like this plague shall fall on the horses, the mules, the camels, the donkeys, and whatever animals may be in those camps. ZEC 14:16 Then all who survive of the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the festival of booths. 17 If any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, there will be no rain upon them. 18 And if the family of Egypt do not go up and present themselves, then on them shall come the plague that the LORD inflicts on the nations that do not go up to keep the festival of booths. 19 Such shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to keep the festival of booths.
12. G-d speaks in mysterious ways
Mikulas ,   Bratislava, Slovakia   (11.01.06)
Ben Laden says he was told by G-d to destroy the WTC. Real religious values would not not allow people such as Ben Laden, Begin or others to use G-d to serve a political and often inhuman agenda.
13. Bush is loved by many Americans but hated by liberal media
Carrie ,   NYC   (11.01.06)
Many Americans still love Bush. I live in New York City, not the Bible Belt and most people I know support Bush still. He may have made some mistakes on the Iraq war but there is no doubt he has good intentions. People don't like him b/c he tells it like it is but I like him for that very reason.
14. Fadi, interesting choice of words: 'Fascist'
Jake   (11.01.06)
Have you seen the stiff-armed salute of Hizbullah and just about every Arab militant group in the region? And what about the WW2 orientation of Arab Nationalism. Not much to be proud about, Fads.
15. Good intentions?
dsm ,   Kuopio Finland   (11.01.06)
Jesus christ folks. Why is there still so much ignorance about the neoconservatives? They are not nice people looking out to liberate people, they have own far more sinister ideologies behind them. Read about PNAC and open your eyes. Bush never was a compassionate conservative (which is an oxymoron), nor was he ever the uniter not a divider kind of guy. He and his neocons buddies are acting on an imperial agenda that pre-existed before 9/11, which in it self was just a needed component to go with their plan. USA will never leave Iraq, it was never part of the plan, permanent military bases and a supersized embassy is being built. There will be bloodshed for decades. And why? For securing the "continues flow of oil" and that's why Iran is in the crosshair. Many neoconservatives also see religion as a tool "to control the ignorant masses". Most of them don't care at all what your beliefs are, they just want your votes. Wake up and smell the ashes.
16. bush the great goat
zac ,   usa   (11.02.06)
why should bush's letter have any significance? He does not represent international law, human rights or any any law conderning the palestinians. this man is playing god, and sadly many people people follow his teaching. at least, the prophets had intelligence and wisdom. they demonstarted knowledge without attending college paid for by their daddy.
17. Bush is not the USA in the future.
Dove   (11.02.06)
Well thank mother earth the pentagon only sees a state called israel in the future within (pre) 1967 borders..
18. To Amir #7. Get Out Of THAT Hellish Place.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (11.02.06)
You write :"Who the hell is ..". So many times. I think your brain must be a hellish place. HOW can you live in such a place? You must be feeling really bad - being roasted in THAT place. My advise to you: please come out - get out of THAT hellish place. As soon as you WILL do that - immediately you will experience peace. And peace is for everyone - including alienated human beings. Unlike your take on it. BTW if someone want to quote Menachem Begin - WHY should she be prohibited from doing that?? Why is she NOT allowed to do that?? IT seems to me that you are saying that only Semitic persons are allowed to talk. SO, according to you - the rest of the world should keep their mouth shut, because they are NOT Semitic. WHERE have learned this?? From the 'religion of peace'?? IF you are product of Islam - people from around the world SHOULD immediately abandon the religion called Islam !!! Hope everything is well with you.
19. #15 - dsm , Kuopio Finland
Scott ,   Haifa   (11.02.06)
How do you know what they are building in Iraq, regarding the super size embassy? Is there any source of information on the Internet regarding this (that is factual and not conspiracy hype) that you or anyone knows of? I'm intererested in what this super city they are building is all about. Secondly...you said Iran is in the cross hairs regarding oil? Don't you think that any thing that Iran receives is due to them for being a terrorist fundamentalist regime who will obtain a nuclear weapon and destabalize everything (not to mention his outright blatant display of his sinister agenda toward Israel and the Jews)? (Please don't give me the "Bush is a terrorist" answer.) Now if you hate Jews and agree with him (Ahmadinejad), I don't even want to talk to you...but if you are a rational human being, then I would like to have dialog with you on this and am curious as to how you are thinking.
20. Bush's word means nothing
FM ,   Seattle   (11.02.06)
How do the words of a habitual liar give Israel any credence? Is it simply because he's favoring the pro-Israeli side that they give his empty words any weight? If he said the opposite--that the PAlestinians DO have a right to return--then they would have said something else like "he's a liar and an idiot and it's none of his busness". Israel is desperate for validity and anything that gives them the semblance of a clear conscience. But that's Israel for you.
21. god gave them nothing
FM ,   Seattle   (11.02.06)
Linda, the people in Israel today have no connection to the people in the Bible, who were part of the covenant. Their is no relation. By your logic, if I become jewish, then I'm one of the chosen people who Israel was given to also. That's how flimsy their connection is. Besides that , the biblical account has no historical integrity and carries no legal authority. NObody knows who wrote that bit in the bible that you and Begin speak of. Sure, you'll say it was Moses, but it wasn't--unless he had a habit of writing about himself in the 3rd person. It's not something that can or would hold up in any court, so therefore it's useless and fictional at that. Even then, if you want to say it's real, the jews broke the covenant long ago and continue to do so every day.
22. right on, DSM, Finland
FM ,   Seattle   (11.02.06)
It's good to hear from people who actually know what they're talking about. There are plenty of people who post on this site who say the most ridiculous, baseless things--usually regarding religion, but sometimes politics as well. Blindness is rampant. Vision is scarce.
23. Darren, who wrote that?
FM ,   Seattle   (11.02.06)
You don't know do you? NO one knows. Why believe something from an anonymous author? Have you ever believed anything else from an unknown author? Why? That's foolish. You might think Moses wrote it, but he didn't. To take the Bible literally is a fool's paradise. wake up.
24. To FM #21. Guided In Their Spiritual Life.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (11.02.06)
You write :".. you'll say it was Moses, but it wasn't ..". THE Jewish People should pray to Moses - in order to be guided in their spiritual life. THE Christians should pray to Lord Jesus Christ - in order to be guided in their spiritual life. THE Muslims should pray to Prophet Mohammed - in order to be guided in their spiritual life. NO one can take the place of Moses, Lord Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed - no Rabbis, no Popes, no Muftis, no Ayatollahs. Moses, Lord Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed - these are persons from ANOTHER world. While Rabbis, Popes, Muftis, Ayatollahs, etc., etc. - are persons from THIS world, our world. So, FM, be carefull when you talk about Moses. Hope everything is well with you.
25. To FM #23. With Certainty.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (11.02.06)
You write :"NO one knows". For you to make that statement - you SHOULD go to all the 6.5 billion human beings - and ask them each individually. ONLY after you have done that - can you make the above statement of yours with certainty. BTW instead of saying: "NO one knows" - you SHOULD be saying: 'I don't know'. This last statement - this is called honesty. Hope everything is well with you.
26. Maansingh, thank you for being civilized
FM ,   Seattle   (11.02.06)
I appreciate that you can disagree yet still be polite and civilized. But I wouldn't suggest to the Muslims that they should pray to Mohammed. This is strictly forbidden in islam. Same goes for Jews praying to Moses. God should not be subordinate to anyone. Moses and Muhammed were prophets, but they are not going to answer your prayers. They didn't create the world or the universe either. When I make the statements about who wrote the bible, I'm using the information available, that is most accurate and up to date. Although many people accept and believe that moses wrote the torah, there is ample reason to believe he didn't--enough that it's pretty safe to say he didn't write it....unless you're going to believe he had a habit of writing about himself in the 3rd person. Hope you are well too.
27. #23 - Prophet Zechariah is author w/ Holy Spirit's guidance
Darren ,   Tampa, FL USA   (11.02.06)
FM you stated: "Darren, who wrote that? You don't know do you? NO one knows. Why believe something from an anonymous author? Have you ever believed anything else from an unknown author? Why? That's foolish. You might think Moses wrote it, but he didn't. To take the Bible literally is a fool's paradise. wake up." FM - The prophet Zechariah wrote those words under the direction and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Not Moses FM. FM you are FREE to totally disregard God's Word and disbelieve it, but I, as an attorney and natural born skeptic, have great faith and belief in God's Word and if God says it I believe it. I have no faith in anything that you might just happen to "peddle" as "truth" and you provided nothing in the way of an intellectually sound argument for me to rethink my belief. All you really did in your talkback was just spout skepticism, ridicule, and scoffing. God's Word WILL come to pass and your little tirade won't change that FM. FM - You will never convince anyone of anything, if you continue to use the same type of approach that you used here. Nice try, but no cigar!
28. To FM #26. God Is NOT Cheap.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (11.03.06)
You write :"God should not be subordinate to anyone". Moses, Lord Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed - these personalities are (not were; they ARE) representatives of God. The Jewish People, the Christians and the Muslims - they can approach God ONLY through the abovementioned 3 personalities. Otherwise - it is NOT possible for the Jewish People, the Christians and the Muslims to approach God. IT is impossible. WHY? Because God is NOT cheap. Hope everything is well with you.

What I find interesting is the diversity of comments, from the insightful to the boorish, from the pro to the con, no holds (other than against incitement, slander, racist slurs or inappropriate language) barred. Does anyone know of any Arab publication where we can see the same thing?
