There is no contradiction , i have "shomrei Shabbat" relatives and friends , and by having a kosher kitchen they can eat at my home . I have not to say to you that they know my opinions regarding religion , they understand , are very tolerant and i try not to hurt them in their beliefs . regarding homosexuality , i also disagree [ girls are so pretty ! ] they are doing their things with consenting friends , oppose pedophily . I do not want to live in a theocracy as in Iran , saoudi Arabia , and others . We live in a democracy , and if a group wants to have a happening in our capital , let it be . Jerusalem is not only the capital of the religious part of the country , it's also the capital for the homosexual community , and they do not want to provoke anyone .

I was in occupied Europe during WWII , and was hidden by gentiles . What did baby's do wrong to be so murdered ? were they punished for their parents misbehaviour ? Is this the way "god" behaves ? You can tell me what you want , but i still cannot believe after those six million innocent victims .

First of all the bible clearly states that a man should not lay with a man or a woman with a woman because this is an abomination before God. Secondly the scripture you are referring to is Mathew 19 verse 12. The correct interpretation of the scripture is the following: Jesus while recognizing that marriage is the norm, commends the single state in the case of one born impotent, one castrated, or one who voluntarily refrains from marriage in order to give undivided attention to the Lord's service. A Eunuch is not a gay or a fag but a sincerely committed man to God. God sternly warns of his judgment and wrath on those that would teach his laws and scriptures in an untruthful manner. I don't believe the pride march is about showing commitment to God. The pride march is more about the mocking of God and his laws in his Holy City.

Forgive me for opening up my mouth to someone older and more experienced than me. But if I can just say one more thing to answer your question. You keep putting the fault on G-d for what happened but if they did play with fire after being told not to and warned they will get burned and sometimes because of a group of careless people the whole building gets burned and kills babies, elders and many many innocent people and sometimes the neighboring buildings like Poland and Lithuania also get burned down and kills many more innocent lives. Why is it the parents fault or G-ds fault or babies and innocent Jews. We have to learn from our mistake not repeat it. If life was made for everyone to have fun and do as he pleases noone should get cuts ,bruises or sicknesses. Democracy has its limits passing over them will hurt us. It will hurt innocent ones too. The haredim believe the Torah is their democracy they are certain having a parade on G-ds land will bring suffering. They don't want to suffer because of a group of gays provoking G-d. That is why they are looking to fix that mistake they didn;t do before the holocaust which is stopping another war from coming.

I respect their beliefs , let them respect other's beliefs . I'm not imposing my world view on others [ we can have discussions , why not ? ] but do not want to have a lifestyle imposed on me . Do not forget another thing , the haridim did nothing to liberate Jerusalem in 1967 . Regarding the shoah , so many of truly well observant Jews were murdered . I do not know if you know such people , not only are they fully observant in the true way , but they are also tolerant , they accept other people , it's a pity that there are no more such very GOOD MEN !

You took the words right out of my mouth. I am happy we both came to a conclusion. Now you can understand why the Haredim are doing what they are doing. Because the Gay parade is imposing their world view on others the Haredim are imposing their own. Remember their are always rotten apples in every basket but one cannot generalize the whole group. I can tell you and I am sure you will agree that most Haredim are not looking to impose religion or anything like that on others not where you are or in America. We don't have missionaries convincing Christians or others to become Jewish. Most want to be left alone to be able to teach themselves and their children and students without being harrased from anybody. The only time you would see them impose and threaten which they have a right to is when they feel they are being threatened first whether by the govt imposing on their education or gays on their sex life in Jerusalem. but believe me there are many good Haredi Jews out there. Sweet, welcoming, loving and sensitive to others. Just nobody talks about them and they are not looking for the spotlight.

#15 - I do follow my own advise. There are things that I dont like, but I accept that people are different [either via religion, culture, sexual orientation etc]. I tolerate their views and opinions. #21 - True, as a religious person you need to follow the commandments. But in the end, when you face your god, he will judge you on not only how you followed his commandments but also on whether you lived in peace and love. Dont think that by following his commandments only, and then kill others, you will be in his favour. As you indirectly pointed out, peace and love is part of the goal in life. #22 - Dodi. "now you bring your DIRT in our holy town"???? What dirt? Are you drawing the assumption that because I am not a religious fanatic and want to see all the people in Israel live in peace, that I am then gay? Or maybe Muslim? Also one final point Dodi. Jerusalem is not "YOUR" town. It is the religious capital of not unles Judaism, but also of Christianity and Islam, and therefore of the entire world.

If this parade was held in Mea shearim , you were right , and i would see this as a stupid provocation . But this is not the case , the parade is not planned there , and then the haridi oppose , and want to impose their views . I agree with you , there are fine Haridi people , maybe not so much . PS I suppose Bush is not your name , why do you hide your true one ? affraid ? do you fear something ?
