Okay first of all Isreal did not "give" Egypt the sinai back! if you actually read history books it states that egypt captured the sinai back on the 6th of october 1973 and troops were moving closer and closer to Isreal. Now obviously little old America fears for it's beloved Israel so they got involved and signed a peace treaty to end the war. I keep hearing israelis criticizing Palestinians for running away from their homeland in 48/49. Quite frankly I have yet to find a honest israeli who can explain to me how the Zionist State could have existed had the Palestinians not left their land, and had the Arab Jews not been expelled from their home. The 1949 UN resolution resulted in a Jewish State that is 50% palestinian. Had the ratio remained as is, Arabs could have theoritically outvoted Jews.( And despite Jewish immigration to Israel, you have to consider difference in birth rate.)

During the Six Day War of 1967 Israel conquered the whole of the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt. In September 1979 - as the result of the Camp David Accord of March 1979 - Israel GAVE back the whole of the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt. AND this is how 92% of the Egyptians treat Israel - as an enemy? What your mother neglected to mention is that the US gives many times more funds to Israel than to the Egyptians. This has not stopped the Israeli government treating the US administration as its enemy when their politics diverge slightly. So why should the Egyptian population, who are not the direct beneficiaries of US aid, take this into account, especially when they see the direct results of American aid to Israeli (i.e. sulphour and cluster bombs, etc, etc, etc) being dropped on the poor Lebanese and Palestinians with no end in sight?

I think if we conduct the same poll in Israel we will have the same result and may be higher 99.9%. Anyway I think the poll is not accurate.
