the residents of Beit Hanoun did nothing to stop the hamas or other terror group from firing missles into sderot city, they keep allowing them to fire the rocket even after ISRAEL GOT OUT OF GAZA,therefor i think that the Beit Hanoun shuld be turned into desert area, the residents of that city shuld learn that if they keep begin a shield to the terrorists they will pay the price, stop the rockets and army wont have any reason to enter Beit Hanoun ,but if you keep fire the rocket we shall destroy you !

6. Precision killing ? No; very selective sniper shooting.

Relatives said the dead civilian, a 75-year-old man, was killed when he went onto the balcony of his home in the northern town of Beit Hanoun to take his disabled son inside. He was shot in the head by Israeli troops on a rooftop, they said. (Reuters, by Nidal al-Mughrabi, Thu Nov 2, 2006 3:49am ET19) http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews.aspx?type=worldNews&storyID=2006-11-02T084924Z_01_L12263400_RTRUKOC_0_US-MIDEAST.xml Gaza doctors say patients suffering mystery injuries after Israeli attacks; Tissue samples from patients in Gaza were given to journalists from the Italian television channel RAI. In a documentary shown last week, the channel said the injuries appeared similar to the effects of Dime. An Italian laboratory that analysed the samples reportedly said its results were compatible with the hypothesis that a Dime weapon was involved. The weapon is new and in the US it is still in the early stages of development. It has a carbon-fibre casing and contains fine tungsten particles rather than ordinary metal shrapnel. It causes a very powerful blast, but with a much more limited radius than other explosives. However, the Israeli military denies the use of Dime weapons. http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=17237 Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME) is a new experimental type of explosive that has a very small but effective blast radius. It can be applied in urban areas causing less collateral damage than shrapnel from normal explosive weapons would. The phrase 'inert metal' refers to the metal's non-involvement in the blast (as opposed to e.g. using aluminium powder to increase blast strength), rather than the metal being chemically or biologically inert. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dense_Inert_Metal_Explosive Is killing a 75 year-old-man by “selective” sniper shooting was aimed at decreasing collateral damage? The logic answer is “ no; it is hateful selective killing”.

observer   (11.02.06)
From 29.9.2000-15.10.2006, Palestinians killed by Israeli security forces in the Occupied Territories are 3769, from which 773 are minors. http://www.btselem.org/English/Statistics/Casualties.asp They are becoming more selective for killing young "militants".
11. U.S. will come to rescue of Palestinian terrorists
Marcel ,   Florida   (11.02.06)
If the IDF gets too successful and puts a serious dent in the rocket attacks from the Palestinian Terrorist Authority ,the president will call his Puppet Olmert and tell him to halt attacks against his terrorist partners for the final solution in Gaza.

if the animals in Gaza stop firing rockets into Israel, the IDF will not harm a soul there. The IDF does not want to be there (hence the withdrawal last year). The reality however, is that the extemist Palestinians do NOTwant peace (don't be surprised by this - they elected in Hamas!). Because of this, the IDF will use the means at its disposal to try and thwart these murderous acts against Israeli civiians, in order to protect them - as any normal government would. Stop reading the propaganda, wake up and open your eyes. As Natenyahu said recently (paraphrasing): "If the Arabs laid down their weapons now, there would be peace in the region. If Israel laid down its weapons, it would cease to exist"
15. #3...People die in war...it's sad but true!
DR ,   Florida, USA   (11.02.06)
Palestinians do absolutely nothing to stop terrorists from firing rockets into Israel so Israel HAS to go after them. If you cannot grasp this simple fact, the you are probably too dumb to understand anything. The really sad thing is that these scumbag Palis hide in buildings where women, children and elderly live and therefore these other "innocent" people get hurt. You can blame the IDF all you want, the simple fact remains, Palestinian scumbag terrorists pout their own families in danger. get it now?
16. #12 No, age does matter.
observer   (11.02.06)
do you think the "militants" are becoming yonger ? OR is the IDF becoming "more selective" for those younger than 18 years ? If your anser is yes to any one of the two qustions, then it's failure of Israel's policy.
17. #16 - they are terrorists not militants

Relatives said Fiyad was killed when he went onto the balcony of his Beit Hanun home to take his disabled son inside. He was shot in the head by IDF troops on a rooftop, they said. The IDF said its forces were targeting only militants. "We have no knowledge of such an incident at the moment," an IDF spokeswoman said.
