1. Weyhey! Bring It On!
(11.04.06)
2. terror organizations
Arja ,   Canada   (11.04.06)
Who's got the mighty military with the sophisticated weapons? Who's got the jets, drones and heavy tanks? Who's the one occupying and controlling the lives of other people and in so doing defying international law and UN resolutions? Not Palestinians! Who's resisting illegal occupation and control? Palestinians! So who's the bigger terror organization? Who's bringing death and suffering to more civilians and children? Face the facts: Israel is committing greater atrocities, Israel is the bigger terrorist!, especially now that Israel is planning war on a people already in the midst of a humanitarian crisis. Perhaps Jimmy Carter's new book Palestine Peace Not Apartheid will awaken the world, especially the Americans, to the plight of the Palestinians.
3. Stop wasting time and lives, annex Beit Hanoun
Daniel ,   Formerly Israel   (11.04.06)
Or more appropriately warn the Palestinians that any towns used as staging grounds for attacks on Israel will be annexed. If the fear of losing their homes will keep them from attacking us then we have come to the best solution, if not then Beit Hanoun and what-ever other areas are used to launch Kassams shou;ld be annexed and those libing there who do not hold Israeli citizenship should be expelled; that way the attacks stop permenantly and no one has to die
4. What a shock!!
shulie ,   cleveland USA   (11.04.06)
Big surprise given Israel goes out of its way to allow Arabs--who are pledged to Israels destruction--onto ITS property to live as its neighbors. Its this type of suicidal reasoning that leads to large scale war. Expel them to Jordan (where the belong), and the problem is solved.
5. Good to see double-speak/double-standards
Micha   (11.04.06)
Ahhhh...yes, arab countries certainly are in complete denial....I think a good dose of psychotherapy is in order for them. This just in from Kuwait. MIL-LD MIDEAST-MISSILES Palestinian activists continue to launch missiles on Israel - source GAZA, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- Missiles launched by Palestinians activists continued to pour on Israeli towns from northern Gaza Strip despite the Israeli army's intensive ground operations in the area, said an army spokesman. Strange...activists? Soldiers perhaps, but activities? I think not. Soldiers should wear uniforms, not costumes. Soldiers don't dress as women and hide in places of worship. Soldiers don't hide behind women and children. Now, if women and children decide to surround the soldiers, then they're fair game too. All's fair in war.
6. you get paid
whatever...   (11.04.06)
to write so void and superficial articles?
7. War
Mark ,   UK   (11.04.06)

8. nu where are all the tel avivians?
Yisraeli   (11.04.06)
and all those who advocated, supported the expulsion of Jews from the gaza strip. what did they say? I dont want to risk my life "defending' these jews. why should i serve in gaza, lock the gates and throw away the keys they said. So what the fragg do they say now????? Nothing theyre all shtum, quiet as a mouse, the priks the fools that they all are.
9. to # 2 Arja
jay ,   Israel   (11.04.06)
I hate to remind you my dear friend Arja, but Gazza is not occupied !! You know as well as i do that if Palastinian terrorists were not firing rockets Israel would not send troops in. Also, is by saying 'who's the bigger terror organization?, and Israel is the bigger terrorist!', conceding that Hammas is a terrosrist group? The humanitarian crisis is a result of your own governments failures (remember the green houses your people destroyed?) And who cares what Jimmy Carter says, the guy has lost his mind. Jews were the original palastinians !!!
10. #6 - write something better - we'd love to read it !
redmike ,   tel aviv & london   (11.04.06)
You're obviously much better informed than the writer and could enlighten us. Please write something. People will read it and be better informed and you'll make money rather than this uninformed journalist.

Arja ,   Canada   (11.04.06)
Gaza is CONTROLLED by Israel. Palestinian lives are CONTROLLED by Israel whether the IDF is present or not as an occupying force. And since Israel's bombing of the electrical plant in Gaza and the illegal withholding of moneys, Israel has been holding Gaza hostage and is the cause of a major humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Actually over the years there's been a progressive destruction of Palestinian infrastructure and ability to manage their own affairs by Israel - checkpoints, curfews, closures, bulldozing of land, homes etc etc etc And then USA, the biggest terrorist of all, backs Israel and is using the same kinds of collective punishments in Iraq as Israel uses on the Palestinians. It's barbaric. I wonder what the Middle East would be like if the European colonialists had kept out and the American CIA hadn't ousted a progressive leader in Iran back in 1953! And the sad thing is, it's all because of money ... OIL... And innocent people suffer all around the world.
12. dear arja
toni ,   sabme   (11.04.06)
whos the bigger terror organization ?oh i dont know maybe islam why not look around the world then look in yourquran you tell me that wich is plain to see and yet avoided like the plague inhumane acts are world wide and common to all faiths and nations
13. Prelude to War, not for Olmert and Peretz
Kenneth Besig ,   Kiryat Arba Israel   (11.04.06)
Olmert and Peretz have every reason to go to war against Hizballah and Hamas tomorrow. But Olmert and Peretz are terrified of handling the next war as badly as they did the most recent one in Lebanon and thus they will do everything in their power to avoid a wider conflict. Worse, most Israeli soldiers have no faith whatsoever in the fighting abilities of either their political or military leaders and will follow them into battle only with the greatest reluctance. Our various Arab enemies know this as well as I do, and they can now plan for the best time, place, and circumstances for their next offensives in comfort knowing that Olmert and Peretz won't initiate anything serious militarily.
14. #2 Arja, please!
RIB ,   USA   (11.05.06)
Try to keep up! You AND Jimmy Carter have SKIPPED alot of History. http://www.eretzyisroel.org/~peters/ http://www.middle-east-info.org/links/index.htm#antisemitism http://www.mythsandfacts.com/Conflict/statute-treaties/index.html http://yeshuaconnection.com/islam_agenda.htm http://www.dhimmitude.org/d_history_dhimmitude.php Good to hear from you again. And, no, I don't endorse any particular SITE. I only endorse Historical accuracy - not politics.
15. to my un-informed friend Arja
jay ,   Israel   (11.05.06)
The palastinians have had plenty of opportunities to create a viable state. Arafat walked out camp david and hammas refuse to recognise Israel and destroy any chances for peace. Do you really think the IDF would be present if there were no missiles or suicide bombers sent? The checkpoints, curfews, closures and bulldozers are all reactions to palastinian aggression against Israel, so dont play the victim with me. Your people dont and never want peace with Israel, while all Israel wants is to be left alone. How can there be a humanitarian crisis when the palastinians get more money than any other country in this world? Also, didnt Arafat steal 6 billion? You seen how fat those Palastinian women are?.....lol
16. to toni and jay
taheyya ,   jerusalem   (11.05.06)
the day was an ordinary day ..but after the event it has another meaning //this as in lebanon second war yes it is second war not the last one ..but gaza is not lebanon and hamass will never be hizballa ..yes israil after the lebanon war remembered that she lost the oppurtinity ..but she want to get it again in gaza ..but after that she will know that the lost oppurtinity will not return ..and it will be another loosing ..as i said gaza or palastin will never be lebanon ... in our kuran god say after the death at the day of judgment these evil peoples will ask god to give them another oppurtinity to return them to life to do better ..but sure the god replied you had yours and you lost it ..this after the death /// now do you think that israil do the better in gaza ..do you think there will be many oppurtinity befor death to the man to do a better ,, so the man must judge his doing not ability to do ,,as israil has a strong ability to rub gaza from the earth ..but sure god judge the doing and sure the man must do that . ..the ability may changed but doing will never as the lost oppurtinity will never return ,even if you have a ver very ........strong ability
17. IDF "heroes"
Mikesailor ,   USA   (11.05.06)
As I read your talkback section, I am struck by the fact that the only 'enemy' the IDF is capable of fighting are civilians and ill-armed militants. Ans the pride in kil.ling the unamrmed seems to have become an Israeli affliction.
18. To #17 the moron
Ze'ev ,   Haifa   (11.05.06)
You are damn moron. If the militants are ill-equiped they shouldn't endager civillians by their stupid actions. If I walk on the street and a dog comes to bite me, should I try to stop it and "explain that it is not ok"? Should I try to make peace with the dog? No I will kick its ass. If you are weak don't attack the strong to weep later that they hurt you...
19. #10
whatever...   (11.05.06)

20. to ze,ev the bear
apalastinian not a d ,   palastin   (11.06.06)

21. where are the pro disangament people now?
gedaliah   (11.06.06)
You wanted Jews out of Gush Katif because you felt that your sons shouldn't have to be in Gaza protecting them. Well now you can be sure that not only will your sones be in Gaza, your daughters may be too. It's time for us all to unite against anymore disangaments. Leaving any bit of land will only move the front line closer to your home.
