31. Cancel this parade!
joy ,   Jerusalem   (11.05.06)
Of course there is a sexual nature to the parade. Look at the pics from last year. What is a homosexual - it is only defined by sexual behaviour. Are you blind or dumb? or just want to take the position which is politically confortable for you without taking other peoples values into account.
32. #28 - had no choide
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (11.05.06)
The ynet, haaretz and JP articles were no longer available for free. So in order to find an article about the murder I had to search the net. Doesn't make the murder and the violent riots less of a fact, does it?
33. #29 - Los Angeles or Louisiana?
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (11.05.06)
It might give me a better prospective of where you're coming from.
34. Right to be criticised - same as everyone
Josh   (11.05.06)
Gay is "sexual" thus the parade is a sexual message. They have the same rights as everyone else and if people don't like it they have the right to tell Gays they don't like it - but not in a parade. So no parade is needed for the gays to say they don't like heterosexual and prefer homosexual.
35. nothing against anyone
Meggie A ,   Israel   (11.05.06)
but why Jerusalem? Its "dafka" =to spite or what. I have nothing against gays or their parades, in fact find them very colourful and entertaining...something these heridim are not. But this is going to tax our security people to the hilt, when they should be elsewhere for every citizens protection. To move the parade to Tel Aviv is not giving in, as the heridem don't want it anywhere. It just seems more pratical and suitable in Tel Aviv. And to the heridim vandals..stop destroying the holy city, you maniacs. brfore some is badly hurt ofr killed, and you are a disgrace to call a fellow Jew a nazi, a cop who is trying to keep order.
36. Gay votes
Nora ,   Tel Aviv   (11.05.06)
37. Supreme court responsible for violence
sd ,   Jerusalem   (11.05.06)
Since the supreme court has ruled that there are no democratic means to stop this parade. Neither the city council nor the Kneset has jurisdiction to stop it. Only the police can stop it and only if they think there is a threat of violence. Therefore it's obvious that those who want to stop it will try to prove that there is a threat of violence. The court has left them no alternative.
38. #17 - of course I know. You couldn't understand my post :-(
redmike ,   tel aviv & london   (11.05.06)
clear that you are simply being over defensive. defending even when you weren't attacked ? Sad !
39. Note he writes G-D Forbid
Boaz   (11.05.06)
What a moron, he is writing about a sin which the Torah clearly forbids and calls a "Abomination", yet he writes G-D Forbid!! It's similar to the thief who prays for G-D help before he robs a house!!
40. Beilin is known for his sexual preferences
Fred   (11.05.06)
as such he and several of a similar inclination have been responsible for the disasters since he went to Oslo. Not only did he commit a crime under Israeli law at the time but is personally responsibel for the deaths and the maiming of tens of thousands of Israelis since then. It was he who who went against the law and was never brought to justice starting the rot we see today of corrupt president, Prime Minister, goverment ministers, civil servants, justice officials, police, security officials and rabbonim. It is time to bring him to justice on sedation for Oslo, Geneva etc - he has no place in society for decrying our religion which has sustained us for 2000 years of dispersion to follow peverted western ideas.
41. I HATE Yossi Beilin the idiot. Retire you self hater.
Adam ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.05.06)
I support Gay rights but having that parade in Jerusalem is disrepectful to people's religious beliefs and sets a dangerous precedent. I'd go as far as to say it is an attack against the religious to settle a score and Yossi Beilin is nothing but a saboteur.
42. i'm a right winger who can't stand Beilin but agree with him
Aaron ,   Ra'anana   (11.05.06)
you can't let ultra-orthodox hooliganism and threats prevent people from exercising their human and democratic rights to freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and the freedom to demonstrate. Those who wished to turn Israel into a fascist state have reaped the evil of Sharon and Olmert and the anti-democratic disengagement...
43. # 1 Sammy
Sagi ,   Israel   (11.05.06)
Jerusalem was the Capital of Yehuda, the seat of Bet David, the location of The Temple, the Capital of Israel and "Home" to no one except Am Yisrael. The "home" of Islam is Mecca and the "home" of Christianity, which you incorrectly describe as being monotheistic, is The Holy See, The Vatican. I do not want intruders in Jerusalem the same as they do not wish intruders in Mecca and The Vatican.
44. CANCEL THE PARADE
Baruch ,   Boston, USA   (11.05.06)
don't move it. cancel it. "u-viarta hara mikirbekha".
45. Where do gaybies come from?
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.05.06)
It is a well-know, proven and easily observed FACT (unlike the dogma that "gays are born that way") that two gay men and two gay woman CANNOT CREATE OFFSPRING BY THEMSELVES. Where then, do "gaybies" come from. Gay obtain children through transactions with third parties, either by PURCHASE or CONFISCATION. Examples of PURCHASE: Lesbians filling a turkey baster with jism ordered from a "sperm donor catalog" or solicited from the gay guy who lives next door. Going down to Mexico, or Mauritania, or Zimbabwe, or Thailand, or some other third-world dreck country and buying a kid for money (like Bradjelina and Madonna have done, even though they are not gay) Hiring a woman to be a "WOMB FOR RENT" to offer her eggs to be fertilized by gay spern. (Michael Jackson method) Examples of CONFISCATION: Claiming custody of the child made with former heterosexual partner, prior to "discovering inborn Gayness" and cheating on heterosexual spouse with gay lover. "Adopting" a child from Social Services who has been confiscated from its dreck subhuman breeder parents. Adopting an "unwanted" baby: Sorry, none available since abortion, the preferred method of dealing with "unwanted babies" has become widespread throughout the world. The youngest unwanted baby available is 33 years old. COMING SOON TO ISRAELI SOCIAL SERVICES: Confiscating babies from Haredi families that are poor, on the ground they "already have too many children" and giving away there children to Gay couples.
46. On tolerance...
Lena ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (11.05.06)
Well said, Beilin.
47. Parade of Love?????
marya ,   sacramento,USA   (11.05.06)
"It is a dignified human rights parade of love, " It's not about love maroon, it's all about the sex you want and rubbing the noses of the public in it. This isn't about "civil rights" either it's about flaming guys half dressed in high heels wearing tutus and dresses, going shirtless and skipping hand in hand with your tongues in each others mouth. IN JERUSALEM! That is a "gay" parade. That is the cause you fight for? We've seen this garbage in California and Rome Beilin and your a damn liar! When do the pederasts and dog humpers come out of the closet to assert their civil rights? Because that's what's next. You will not be allowed to make Israel another Holland or Denmark or San Francisco. I guess you didn't cause Israel enough grief with your ridiculous Oslo Accords. Go back into the closet and leave us alone...
48. #23 - with all the crap you post on this site....
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (11.05.06)
its amazing to hear you call anybody an idiot. He's right - the parade is about human rights and democracy in this country or whether we will all be hostage slaves to the haridim who burn, smash internet cafes and riot in our capital when they don't like something like a parade by people they don't agree with. You are the idiot if you can't understand this.
49. #45 - "confiscating babies from Haredi families..."
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (11.05.06)
I don't think you've ever posted anything stupider. And that says alot.
50. The Parade is a Danger to Jews worldwide
Victim in the Galut ,   NY USA   (11.05.06)
Not long ago a woman was murdered in Africa because the Pope quoted a statement wich "insulted" the moslems. In the beginning of 2006 buildings were burnt around the world because a Danish newspaper published some old caricatures of Muhammad 5 months before [Sept 2005]. If the fanatic maslems choose they can see such a "parade" as a desecration of Jerusalem, and attck Jewish institutions and Jewish individuals world wide. People who insist having this parade are selfishly andangering the lives of countless Jews worldwide to have their parade. It is immoral and irresponsible.
51. What's about someone who wants to with a cat or a dog???
Joe   (11.05.06)
Are they also supposed to be proud of it and organize a parade? The Torah doesn't let PERIOD. The Torah is over all reason and democracy PERIOD. The creator of the world can run the world how he wants to PERIOD.
52. parade by Yossi Beilin
charles ,   petach tikva   (11.05.06)
I completely AGREE with Yossi Beilin . His sexual orientations , as some tell about is not important . He stands for DEMOCRACY , that's IMPORTANT . The Gay's do not want to provoke , they want only to parade in their city . DO NOT FORGET : Jerusalem is also their's . NOT only for the hate spraying haridim . Those men in black have just obtained what they desserve : TO BE More HATED , BANNED by the majority of the Israeli population .
53. Ely, sweetness, (21)
sk ,   USA   (11.05.06)
I would be pleased to see a march in front of my house, as that would mean I wouldn't have to travel anywhere to participate. I'm not sure it would serve any purpose, though. In the US, lots of people have had a parade pass by. We have our religious nuts who counter-protest (but are not lawless like your Haredim), and many Americans consider the "gay lifestyle" immoral. But you see, the US is not a banana republic, and citizens here basically have learned that their world cannot be exactly as they might personally like.
54. redmike (38)
sk ,   USA   (11.05.06)
Um, you've been saying some nasty things lately, redmike, on the subject of gay people. I think I understood you perfectly well.
55. Fred (40) on Beilin's sexual preferences.
sk ,   USA   (11.05.06)
Well, Fred, *I* didn't know. So, it looks like Beilin is finally coming out to the Ynet public. Why it took such an extreme leftist so long is a mystery. There are a lot of Israeli politicos who need to be brought to justice. I would start with Peres, though, because he is more culpable for Olso than Beilin, and he probably has more unprosecute crimes to his name.
56. Kyle (45), how did you know about "breeders"?
sk ,   USA   (11.05.06)
Kyle, you really should get over your own victimization aready. Straight people can get babies in the ways that gay people can. There is nothing sinister about these ways, regardless of the ALL CAPS titles you like to supply. Regarding "confiscation," I should note that lots of straight people do the same thing in their divorces. However, I like your idea for the Haredim. :-)
57. Joe (51) on cats and dogs ...
sk ,   USA   (11.05.06)
Joe, do you see this is as an issue requiring emergency legislation? Do you expect a consenting cat to be demanding marriage rights any time soon? If not, I don't see what use a parade of pet-lovers would serve ...
58. Keeping your public happy
Steve ,   USA   (11.06.06)
B"H Yossi, I know that every politician has his stunt to do to keep his public happy. Lieberman has his talk about division and you have your talk of unity. You are playing up for the left-wing. I understand that. But we both know the parade is a simple provocation by people who for the most part are not residents of Jerusalem, but outsiders. Why not restrict the parade to Jerusalem residents, if it really for them, Yossi? Or is this just a fancy way to disturb the peace by those living outside of Jerusalem?

60. To #5 sk USA
Ely Greenhut ,   Jerusalem Israel   (11.06.06)
Invite the gays to your home. You will solve all the problems for Jerusalem. You will prevent Holy beautiful Jerusalem from being desegrated by these gays. I am not Charaide but I support their point & view. Unobservent jews hate the Charaide more than the hate the Arebs. What a Shame.
