I'd been hearing about this movie for awhile now and I'm glad Fox News network has the courage to show it. I saw it last night. You're right truely a horror movie. I've been writing to the network telling them to check the newspapers in the Middle East and get the work out to all Americans just what the Arabs are sayng about our coming election. That if the Democrats take the House and Senate the terriorists have won. When your enemy starts saying things like that, it should tell everyone something. But no one is listening. So far Fox is the only network that has mentioned this. The other networks are so stupid. You say Israel should make peace with the Arabs and Arabs make peace with Israel. No sane person would disagree. But how do you make any peace with a Hamas who have vowed never to recognise you under any circumstances? The answer even to a child is obvious. 1. Both parties renounce violence 2. An Israel and Palestine to coexist as two separate and independent States. Sounds so simple! It is. Peace has to come from the leadership of both parties - but also from the bottom up a demand by the public on both sides that enough is enough. Do you even know what you're talking about? I doubt it. Israel gave up land for peace talked into it by both Carter and Clinton. Did it do any good? Did giving up land bring peace? No it didn't. Two main issues: 1. You say 'Israel gave back land that wasn't even their's' (Gaza). Indeed, let's look at Gaza and WB. Prior to 1967, Gaza belonged to Egypt and WB to Jordan. Although the PLO was established in 1964, there was no call for Palestinians to take over these territories as an independent country. Despite the fact that, in the 1979 peace agreement with Egypt, Israeli PM Begin wanted to give Gaza back to the Egyptians, Sadat rejected this. He could have chosen to take it back and make an independent Palestinian state. Why didn't he? Why didn't the PLO appeal to him to do such a thing if Gaza (as WB) was, indeed, their historic homeland? If we follow your request to address the 'why', we have to ask 'why did PLO demands focus on different areas of lands at different times, regarding what they would refer to as homeland?' The corresponding dates and demands would indicate that their focus is/was a desire to remove Jews from the ME, regardless of location, rather than a specific pre-67 Palestinian attachment to a specific location such as Gaza or WB. 2. The video: Basically all it showed was how European media is more sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. However, given that the BBC recently admitted an anti-Israeli bias and that France Channel 2 recently conceded in court that they were responsible of grossly unprofessional one-sided reporting of the Muhammad Adura case, not to mention several exposes of French reporters staging videos of Palestinians, one could also argue that being 'different' from European media is not necessarily negative.

I was trying to address your comments by pointing out that the 'why' is not only about freedom of movement/independence in the WB and Gaza, but also about something deeper. In order to understand the 'why' (aka justify violent hatred), you still have to look what the why is trying to justify. I agree we need to look objectively, in fact, I'll do you one better and look emperically: 1. Emperically, the Israeli majority voted for a left-leaning government, the main party of whom advocated realignment (aka, a pre-two state solution) 2. In a referendum, the majority of Israelis supported Disengagement and a two-state solution in general 3. Referring to the peace solution offered by Barak, which you decried, emperically, Barak offered Arafat 97 percent of his land demands and offered additional, unrequested land to compensate for the last 3 percent. Emperically, this is one of the most generous land-for-peace deals in history (and btw, land concessions are usually offered by the weaker party, not the stronger party). 4. Emperically, Palestinian refugees in Jordan also don't have autonomy, voting rights and live in as bad if not worse financial conditions. WHY are they not rioting there? Could it be bc the last time they tried that, they were killed in a much higher frequency than they ever were in WB and Gaza? Similar story in Syria, only with even more Palestinians killed. 5. Emperically, the majority of Palestinians elected the Hamas gov't, who refuses to even acknowledge Israel's right to exist (so, no support for the 2-state solution there). 7. Emperically, there are several Israeli (Jewish) groups whose central agenda is to publicly advocate for Palestinian rights, compared to ZERO Palestinian groups whose agenda is to decry suicide bombings or to advocate acknowledging Israel's existence. Basically, what I'm trying to trying to say is that, objectively, facts in the region would indicate a DISPROPORTIONAL amount of hatred towards Israel and its actions. Thus, we have to look BEYOND Israel's actions to fully understand the 'why' of the Pal hatred. When we do, we see, for example that their elementary textbooks preach anti-Israeli rhetoric: brainwashing, too, is a great reason for hatred. BTW, the video referred to american media in comparison to european media, which is why I mentioned european media.

Dont you think its israels responsiblity after 40 years of occupation to take whatever comes for peace i think it would be worth while in the future to take the violence and limit the retaliation and to try and use you actions to support palestine not just your words even if they dont recognize israel make it hard for them not to bye taking the high road.
