1. Haredim continue rioting
Eli ,   Israel   (11.05.06)
Somehow Ynet doesn't really know what is happening. These are not mere protests, they are riots, violent riots. That is to be expected from a sick culture of males holed up in their self-imposed, social ghettos. The misery of their lives, the sexual frustration and their general lack of freedom create incredible pressures. They create situations to blow off steam. They are a mob and a danger to democracy. They are the Taliban of Judaism.
2. If everyone were gay the world would be a happier place...

6. If this Is Supposedly a Democratic State
H ,   Jerusalem   (11.05.06)
why do the Religious Jews not have any say except through violence? Apparently, it is ONLY "Democratic" for the Leftists, Liberals and Anti-Religious. This parade is not a regular military parade or civil parade but purely to show that the state of Israel is anti G-d and religious Jews. And regarding Israel's so-called democracy, it would be a good idea to hear from Professor Paul Eidelberg how "democratic" Israel is.
7. Someone has to solve the problem ......
catlyn ,   Israel   (11.05.06)
There are far too many cats in Jerusalem and maybe they can do us all a favour if they hit a few travelling on the highways.
8. they all die!
(11.05.06)
that's why they get killed in the wars- maybe they should consider dovening!!!!!!!!!!!!
9. #6 democracy
Marcus   (11.05.06)
It is democratic, for everyone, not just the religious. This means that it is democratic for the gays too, therefore, the rights of the gays cannot be violated or taken away just because the religious object. The religious can protest (protests being non-violent and not this dreck and violence that we are seeing now, which is rioting). Similarly, others can protest against the religious. But the key is, that one group's or person's democratic rights do not and can not suppress the democratic rights of another group -- any other group. SO if the haredim are upset about the gay parade, that's fine, have a protest of your own against it, but do no harm and do not attempt to infringe on the rights of the gays. Do so puts the haredim's own rights in danger, as it sets the precident, and those can never be stuffed back in the bottle.
10. catlyn (7) that was great. I'm still laughinng.

H ,   Jerusalem   (11.05.06)
the government of Israel be replaced with G-d fearing Jews who would please Him. The mekubalim and Rabbis (who have Heavenly power) say, if G-d forbid, this parade will go ahead, it will cause a war in the north or an earthquake to come about. And who will you then blame when someone gets killed in either of the two situations? We must stop this parade immediately, if we know what's good for us.
12. H (11) you are increasingly absurd.
sk ,   USA   (11.06.06)
You say, "he mekubalim and Rabbis (who have Heavenly power) say, if G-d forbid, this parade will go ahead, it will cause a war in the north or an earthquake to come about." Are these the same rabbis who say that Israel shouldn't even exist, but who gladly accept porkbarrel legislation? And what kind of nonsense are you spouting about rabbis having "heavenly power"? You sound more and more like a Catholic every minute. Anyway, I don't need heavenly power to know that there will be a war in the north fairly soon no matter what, and the Haredim will not be fighting (generally) in support of Israel. As for your reference to Eidelberg in #6, Eidelberg suggests ways of making Israel a true democracy, given the state's serious defects. He does not suggest rule by men with "Heavenly power."
13. Open House Funded by Ford foundation
sam ,   jerusalem   (11.06.06)
The open House is funded by the anti-israel Ford foundation through the new israel fund, encouraging outreach among gay arabs. How much money do they receive and how much are they paid for the parade. so it's really about money and power

H, could you give me a hint as to when this war or earthquake are to come, I'd like to plan ahead and book a vacation. Is this something like the coming of the messiah, because that's been promised for quite a while as well.
15. I fear only ill will come from this parade..
Craig ,   USA   (11.06.06)
There is a God in Heaven who though silent for a long time, still sees. You secular defenders of "democracy" seem to care more for political correctness than the chance this will be viewed as an outrage by the Almighty; you people don't understand what you are doing. Where will you all be if God decides this affront is not to be overlooked? If He decides even more of his Glory and protection are to be removed? Secular Israel doesn't fear this because they have stopped believing that Jews are set apart for righteousness, stopped believing that their land is 'special' to God, stopped believing that Jerusalem is special, stopped believing that Scripture is to guide the laws and conduct of man not be superceded by those laws, stopped believing in a God at all?? Not that the Islamics lack any motivation for their continued determination to see Israel eliminated...but I can only see this as further strengthening their resolve. Congratulations Israel...littlt by little, you are becoming like the other nations of the world - secular, deceived, unable to discern with hardened hearts. I will redouble my prayers for your land...maybe God will be merciful. God has seen the efforts of those who attempted to defend the honor and sanctity of His special city...they are not complicit, they will be absolved.
