Pork luncheon meat et all. I wonder if they'll ever produce a kosher alternative?
2. Controlling the spread, limiting vulnerabilities

It's not clear from this article how much of the spam Israelis confront is internally generated, how much from outside. (I'm sure many cyber-terrorists exist among Israel's enemies who would love to bring its high-tech world down.) My own experience is that some ISPs do a terrific job limiting spam (like AT&T's WorldNet), others aren't so good. Given Israel's skills in network technologies I'm surprised they aren't more successful keeping a lid on it. Note, too, the devices on the network may help or hinder the dissemination of spam. I was distressed to find, during my brief time at the University of Haifa last year, that virtually all desktops run Windows. Such desktops are highly vulnerable to serving as "bots", compromised PCs that can then be utilized to further spread spam, participate in denial of service attacks, etc.. Macro viruses can also be utilized to exploit vulnerabilities in Outlook to further spread any infestation. It's long past time for Israelis, who have a reputation for thinking outside the box, to move to alternative platforms. I'm very partial to Mac, but Linux has a role to play as well.
