1. Whos To Say It Was Haredi Jews, COULD HAVE BEEN A PLANT
(11.06.06)
Uh Duh
2. The Gay Parade will blow up in your faces
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.06.06)
Same calling card left by the anti-disengagment protestors a year ago. Maybe somebody can 'splain me something--if the alleged Haredim who did this terrible thing, and their "settler" sidekicks, are so unspeakably evil, "worse than the Taliban," "worse than Hamas," "worse than Nazis," why would they leave a fake bomb and not a real one? Like the "innocent" (as in, YNet believes she is more "innocent" than the Haredim) Palestinian young lady who exploded herself this afternoon?
3. Oh really, Kyle (2)
sk ,   USA   (11.06.06)
The Haredi leadership know perfectly well that if they start with real bombs their power will be stripped from them. They are already the most loathed group in Israel and depend on coalition manipulations to retain privilege and pork. What the leadership intends to do is not to kill but to injure, intimidate, and increase its power. I don't think very many would say that the Haredim really are as bad as the Taliban -- yet. But they don't have the power to be that bad -- yet.
4. Time for some kiss-ins at the Haredi courts!
sk ,   USA   (11.06.06)
Why is it that these creeps can always be confident that Mea Shearim and other shtetls are secure against a gay infiltration? Why can O. Yosef be confident that no "Haredim" will ever start kissing while he is holding court? Why are rabbinical meetings never targeted? Sure, there are risks, but Israel has plenty of tough secular guys, some of them gay, to provide security against violent attacks during the actions, which should completely nonviolent as far as the activists' go. The basic idea is that if the Haredim want to claim control over areas that ARE NOT THEIRS, they should know there are real consequences, and that "their" areas need not be respected in return.
5. Police lost thier moral authority in Gush Katif
Ken Dalton ,   Toronto, canada   (11.06.06)
While in past years, the police chief and his gang might have held moral highground, they gave it up to become a willing tool of those politicians who thought giving land to Hamas & friends was right. Arresting kids for protesting against the evil decree last year makes it kosher to get arrested this year.
6. susie kew's "kiss in"
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.06.06)
It's called trespassing on private property, cupcake.
7. sk get a life

BUSH ,   USA   (11.06.06)
I would rather be the most loathed by secular Jews than to be loathed by 75% of the world. The world hates you, not the Haredim, you and people like you. Arabs hate you because you are not religious, Christians hate you because you are not G-d fearing enough. Liberals hate you because you aren't humanistic enough and they will keep on hating you till you become more and more left.
9. Open House for Pride and Tolerance - NOT!
Nigel ,   Israel   (11.06.06)
If the gay parade organizers were truly in support of tolerance as they claim they would be tolerant of other peoples views and beliefs - namely the Haradim. To claim a one-sided tolerance i.e. be tolerant of us and our beliefs but we won't be tolerant of you and your beliefs is just plain hypocritical!
10. Kyle (6)
sk ,   USA   (11.06.06)
The roads in Mea Shearim are not "private property," so far as I know. Nor are government buildings housing the rabbis. As for the "courts," well, sometimes you have to trespass and get kicked out. Oh well. At least the gays won't be stabbing anyone, my fudge brownie.
11. being gay is a sickness
aron ,   yerushalayim   (11.06.06)
being gay is an emotional sickness for those who are "born" gay. it is not more than any other sickness like the "need" to steal or the need to hurt ones self or the desire to sleep with animals. there is another type of being gay as well- it is the type where people just do it for the "fun" and "pleasure" of it. those people are in an even worse shape than the former. there is hope and the torah helps us overcome all character flaws. there are orthodox organizations like "jonah" who have saved many gay people and helped families and marriages. what kind of people want to flaunt their sicknesses and weakneses??? what is the world coming to?
12. Looks like I hit a nerve! (8)
sk ,   USA   (11.06.06)
You forgot that much of the world hates me because I'm a Jew as well as an American. "The world" doesn't know the Haredim exist. Avoid such meaningless abstractions. I really don't see how your TB is relevant, though. There are always reasons to hate others, and most of the time we have no control over such hatred. However, we can do something to make some haters less confident in their ability to hate with impunity. I think the kiss-in is a great idea. A Jew who lets himself be bashed will be bashed more. Same thing for a gay person.
13. Thank You PeaceNow and Other Leftists For
H ,   Jerusalem   (11.06.06)
showing the Hareidim how to fight and get your way regarding the fences near the arabs and other instances. If not for your violence and stone-throwing and bottle-throwing and hurting many police, the Hareidim wouldn't dare be the first to do it. So it's all thanks to your violence.
14. #11 Aron: Please Enlarge Your Post & Hang It ALL Over Israel
H ,   Jerusalem   (11.06.06)
15. whoever behaves like a terrorist
Dr. NO ,   jerusalem   (11.07.06)
should be prepared to be treated as one. Haredim, gays, terrorists, criminals, should be severely punished for attacking other members of the public and/or police, border police or soldiers. If gays have a valid police permission to hold rally, then they should go ahead with it. Haredim should learn to live in peace with the rest of the Jerusalemites. God knows they do not pay municipality taxes, most of them do not work, instead are supported by public funds, they do not serve in the IDF, most of them do not even do national service duty, so really, they can't have all the privileges and then some. They can stay home during the gay parade. They really remind me of some other equally tolerant religious persuasion...
16. #10 Mr. Slave, you & Big Gay Al
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.06.06)
take your gerbil somewhere and go play quietly, mmkay?
17. The police beat up on the Ethiopian Jews today
CHILONI   (11.06.06)
One guy ended up in the hospital. If these were the Palestinians, we'd be talking about multiple lethalities by now. Why are the police pussyfooting with these bastards??? GIVE THEM BLOOD!!!
18. SK #4
dore ,   israel   (11.06.06)
Hey man you got it right in your last paragraph, Whats good for the goose is good for the gander. Yashar koach
19. Haredis Want Pork
malcolm   (11.07.06)
If they cared about Israel and the Jewish people they would spend their energies protesting the corrupt and traitorous Olmert government. Instead they are interested in the budgetary pork and are obsessed with sex. Their vigilance concerning gays combined with their silence about the government makes them self -righteous traitors. In heaven won't they ask... You made such a stink about gays, why didn't we hear a peep out of you about the traitor to the Jewish people, Olmert? Aaaah...It was the pork you wanted.
20. Why no arrests of Haredim??????
Marc ,   Montreal, Canada   (11.07.06)
How is it that these violent protestors do not get arrested? How can Israel claim to be a democracy when they give such special status to the Haredim? The Haredim are not only desecrating the Torah through their violence but they are also BREAKING THE LAW. Where are the arrests?
21. Bigotry is a sickness

22. shut up!! you''re all idiots!!
s. ll. ,   newyork, newyork   (11.07.06)
just shut up!!
23. Kyle dissappoints again (16)
sk ,   USA   (11.07.06)
Kyle, I wouldn't dream of using a gerbil without its consent, which it coudn't give. Fortunately for you, your right hand is assumed already to have consented.
24. Thanks dore (18).
sk ,   USA   (11.07.06)
25. I am sorry
kiki ,   california, usa   (11.07.06)
I am sorry Israel i am sorry that in Jerusalem, Gods holy city the one he calls His own. The apple of his eye. His Glory, that there is such an immoral atrocity going on. This parade has no business in that city. I pray for the souls that are turning there backs on the LORD already by living a life style that is immorally wrong so says the Lord in his word. But it is one thing to live immorally but to flaunt it in the Face of The Holy one of Israel. iN HIS HOLY CITY. It is like spitting in His face. I will pay for all the partcipants of this parade that God have mercy on there souls. I will pray also for all the people of Israel who are being effected by this and pray for strength. We (my family my friends stand with all of you) keep praying.
26. Traditional Jewish Tolerance....
Hiram ,   Stornoway   (11.07.06)
...is a good exemple for the rest of the world that we are trying to impress with our " high moral values". The behavior of Haredim is finally no different form the one of Islamists trying to revert to obscure times. What an exemple of intolerance ! What an exemple of intellectual dictatorship !
27. Kiki, you are sorry - a sorry, ammoral, ignorant fascist
A real Jew ,   Israel   (11.07.06)
And that goes for the rest of the most of you. You bigots are not Jews - you are worse than Israel's most determined enemies.
