1. GOP Repubs are a lesser evil than Dems
(11.07.06)
Dems will isolate Israel, they will decrease dollars that go into Israel They will pressure Israel to do more suicidal and they will give money to Palestine.. MAKE SURE YOU VOTE CORRECTLY
2. James Baker...
Roger ,   Minneapolis, MN USA   (11.07.06)
That is a name from the past. When he was Sec. of State, he was NO friend of Israel. G-D help us BOTH - the US and Israel.
3. the US is going to go all Europe on us
I hate to say this   (11.08.06)
I hate to say this, but the danger is visible. They are going to make us the scape goat, blame us for the hard times they think they're experiencing with the war on terror, and betray us. I'm so sorry. Let's not be surprised again. The democratic party has resolved its deferences with the neo-nazi party on one issue: Israel and the Jews. Just like the left and the hard radical right in Europe agree on one issue, I'm sure you guessed it.
4. BAKER
DAN ,   USA   (11.08.06)
James Baker proved in the past that he was pro Arab and anti Israel. The only way he can be stopped is for Jews in the U.S to put enormous pressure on their congressmen to stop Baker's plans. If the Democrats win today, as expected, it will be a difficult task.
5. The only drought in the US is -
Michael ,   Seattle, WA   (11.08.06)
sane politicians. I can't believe I voted...
6. baker
rofeh ,   usa   (11.08.06)
sorry pal. Israel is going to take heat because Bush got sucked into Iraq and is going to leave with his head up his rear end. Sharon, and Natenyahu cheerleaded this war{ just like they did the first Lebanon debacle). Iran is laughing in there faces. Bush like Sharon in 82 based successs on a bunch of primitive arabs-Sunnis, shiites and Bathists all sitting around a campfire singing peter paul and mary songs. This has got nothing to do with Dems. Let me see.. a republican president, republican congress and a republican senate with the likud cheerleading from the sidelines watching over the biggest strategic failure in 50 years. Iraq will replace or join Afghanistan as a terror haven. North Korea and Iran go nuclear and hezbollah slowly takes over Lebanon. Bush's successs :tax breaks for Hummers so we can send even more money to the Saudis, Libyans and Iranians. but you idiots are right.. its all the democrats fault.
7. Despair
Big Stick ,   USA   (11.08.06)
It is said that somewhere in the New Testment to despair is to turn your back on God. Well then, I suppose , I must use a different adjative. Well anyway, I haven't turned my back on God but I'm mighty blue about the prospects of the Democrats being in charge. Liberal control will cripple security of Western Civilizations. I grant todays Republicans are on a slippery slope to hell, and this slippery condition is brought about by infiltration of sudo republicans, liberals posing as consevatives to be elected then chipping away at conservitive values. Is there a chance the slippery slope will be sanded and true conservative values again rule the GOP. I suppose that's why I'm blue and hoping once again to be red.
8. Hope USA stops blind financial support of Israel
(11.08.06)
Europe is much more civilised than the United States of America. The USA is corrupt and barbaric. Birds of a feather flock together?
9. Good news, not bad
Varda Nahmias ,   Givatayim, Israel   (11.08.06)
Perhaps we will get an American government which will at least try to save us from ourselves and get us out of the terrbile bloody swamp of the occuaption.
10. 8 How are the suburbs of Paris doing...
freedom ,   canada   (11.08.06)
OH yes... Paris burning or was that a money.. Eh.. get your facts straight before you make a statement..
11. policy change
leo solomon ,   nahariya   (11.08.06)
In 1948-Russia,Israel's main supporter, played it's Israel card and gained ingress to the middle east through it's support for Egypt and Syria. in 1967-France,then -Israel's main alliy, dumped Israel for substantial political and economic gains within the Arab world. Condalizza Rice ,with her latest comments, has begun laying the ground work for yet another real -politic betrayal .Bush, with his appointments of Baker and Carter to oversee the impending revision of us policy toward the palestinian -israeli conflict confirms my assessment of his intentions.Israel will be sold out for Arab support for impending actions on Iraq and Iran.
12. #9 Yes let's end the Arab occupation...
Dan ,   Israel   (11.08.06)
of the Middle East so the indigenous people like the Jews, Berbers and the Kurds can finally live in peace without Arab oppression and terror.
13. 10 you're right NO civilised countries
(11.08.06)
just a lot of barbaric people with modern sophisticated weapons that can destroy the planet and every living thing on it.
14. US is going all wimpy!
Greg ,   New York City, USA   (11.08.06)
Sad to say you are right. The right and the Left in america are out of the same mold. They are blind and visionless and don't see the rising behemoth in the Eruopean Union, an enemy of Isreal and America....just remember WW2....
15. The drought of Islamic invasion - Hezbollah Judge elected
Darren ,   Tampa, FL USA   (11.08.06)
Not only does America have to deal with the ever increasing invasion of illegal immigrants, but we are also getting invaded by Muslims, not yet to the dire situation in Europe, but it is happening. Looks like there is a drought in the U.S. with yesterday's elections and in particularly this election: Open Hezbollah supporter and extremist Muslim, David Turfe, was unfortunately elected a Michigan District Court Judge in Dearborn Heights 20th District. (Dearborn Heights is home to North America's second largest mosque, headed by the former spiritual leader of Ayatollah Khomeini's Iranian Navy, Imam Mohammed Elahi--a domestic agent of Iran & Hezbollah.) Remember the Hezbollah rally I attended at the Bint Jebail Cultural Center a/k/a the Hezbollah Social Club, at the height of the war between Hezbollah and Israel--where speakers made a plethora of anti-American, anti-Semitic, anti-Christian speeches? Turfe was there campaigning, and openly supporting and cheering all of those statements. Not surprisingly, the Pro-Hezbollah/pro-HAMAS, Islamist Arab American PAC, which denies Israel's right to exist, endorsed Turfe. (AAPAC's then-Secretary Lola Elzein sent me and my family death, torture, and rape threats, coupled with Holocaust denial.) And his close relative, Mohammed Turfe (I'm told that's his brother), was one of the speakers uttering those statements. From my July 26, 2006 column, "Hezbollah U.S.A, Part III: My Date at Dearbornistan's Hezbollah Social Club": Haj Mohammed Turfe (AP incorrectly called him Mohammed "Torfah"), Founding Chairman of the Bint Jebail Cultural Center, gleefully and repeatedly spoke of how "only a few thousand Jews will survive Armageddon." This mantra, repeated often throughout the event, got raucous, deafening applause and cheers. Well, for once--I thought--extremist Muslims have respect for Christianity. . . when they can twist it to suit their fascist hopes and dreams. The 20th District of Michigan is now apparently Hezbollah-occupied territory. And, apparently, many non-English speaking Muslims voted for Turfe, only Turfe, on the ballot Were they all legal U.S. citizens? Don't count on it. From our spy in Dearbornistan Heights: I have to say, my city had a large turn out. From what I witnessed.....many many FOREIGNERS.......couldn't even speak English. Lots of young people......headscarves & all. Here's an interesting fact......From where I was stationed, many ballots were only marked off with 1 vote.......by Turfe's name. Just goes to show how much they care about all the other issues......they have an agenda & I see we are losing a damn fighting battle !!! Sad part is....We still outnumber them here....so far. http://www.debbieschlussel.com/archives/2006/11/hezbollah_judge.html Won't be long until Dearborn, Michigan is lobbing rockets and missles into Wisconsin.
16. # 14's WW2 Analogy poor, try Korean War
Gary White ,   Studio City   (11.08.06)
The Korean War of 1950 offers a much better analogy. Chiang K'ai-shek's Nationalist China tried to use a "clash of civilzations" theory of global communism to expand the Korean conflict into a general war with China (PRC) whereby Chiang could ride back to power through the Korean penninsula and Manchuria. General Douglas MacArthur bought it hook, line and sinker and even promoted the introduction of Chinese Nationalist troops from Taiwan into the conflict. President Truman did not buy the big war Chiang was trying to sell. As a result, Truman was also considered "wimpy" by that era's right-wingers for not "recognizing" the "growing threat" and marching into Baghdad, er . . . I mean Peip'ing. I suspect #14 pines for a MacArthur style figure on the current American political scene. As President Warren Harding once observed, "My enemies I can handle, it's my friends who keep me walking the floors at night."
17. #16 - The Growing Threat did exist & only got worse
Darren ,   Tampa, FL USA   (11.09.06)
The Growing Threat did exist & only got worse. I long for a MacArthur or Patton figure to arise both in the U.S. and Europe. The war in Korea is not over. It's final chapter has yet to be written. I would have preferred that MacArthur had done what needed to be done with North Korea and China then, then now have to deal with North Korea and perhaps China when the stakes are much bigger and more dangerous. And Taiwan also is a major issue yet to be resolved. It is like a dangerous volcano. You just don't know when it might erupt. Hence I wish General McArthur had been allowed to do then what should have been done for had he been so allowed the world today would be a less dangerous place with respect to North Korea and Taiwan (IMHO). Truman should not have passed these two major problems, i.e. this growing threat, to a future generation.
18. #8, are you on drugs?
Danny   (11.09.06)
Europeans more civilised - look at the "moral" French: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6079428.stm and American financial aid was NEVER blind and always with strings attached.
19. Draught in America: Youth does not have all the answers
Joel ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.09.06)
Retired Ambassador Zalman Shoval has again demonstrated great wisdom and a fine analytical ability. Official Israel should find a way to make good use of the fine talents of its retired diplomatic corps. It seems that being young is not enough. While the most prominent of our leaders may be clever and hollow, some of our senior civil servants can still make valuable contributions, if only to offer maturity of insight.
20. Immaginations
Sam Stewart ,   Canada   (11.10.06)
I totaly agree with #6 ,it is well said, the moron Bush pushed by Jewish lobby get trapped with this war and Israel with him as well ,it indirectly helped Iran to become nuclear country.
21. #14 this rubbish and misinformation
Sam stewart ,   Canada   (11.10.06)
It happed to me by work travel a lot to michigan and to dearborn area .I am not muslim or their supporter but what you are saying is totaly not true ,being open supporter for hizbollah is prohibited ,as every bodyknow thisorganization is banned and considered terrorist in USA.openly support hizbollah and getting a judge position this is not realistic,Hidden support maybe so do not use cheap lies.
22. #21 - Maybe I misunderstand your post
Darren ,   Tampa, FL USA   (11.10.06)
Dear Sam: Maybe I misunderstood your posts, but I have seen marches in Michigan where people were marching with Hezbollah flags say we are all Hezbollah now during the Lebanon war. And yes a judge with ties to terrorism, i.e. Hezbollah, was just elected in Michigan by the Muslim horde. Not only is it is realistic, its happening. Won't be long Dearborn will be lobbing rockets into Racine, WI claiming Racine to be occupied land! Won't be long we will have to build detention camps in Michigan. And we will have to one day after we see the fall of Europe to Islam. It is only a matter of time and demographics along with more Islamic attacks at home for this to take place. Our enemy is not only at our door, but now is in our home. I pray that Europe and America (Canada & Australia too) can rid our lands of this scourge or cancer one day. Our life, liberties, and western way of life require it. It may also require civil wars. To be HONEST, we are not in a war against terrorism, but a war against Islam which is hell bent on domination and subjugation. Europe is already almost a lost cause. Maybe France will put down the surrender flag for a change. No Shria law is going to be allowed on America's shores. Many Americans are just about ready to erupt. Like I said it is only a matter of time.
