The UN is hardly "doing their jobs" as people think they are, Hezbollah is rearming under their nose and they are doing nothing to keep the peace. Please people show me where resolution 1701 states UNIFIL should disarm Hizbullah? Their mandate is about preventing them from firing, and retaliating if they do. Now don't think I (or anyone, from Europe to the US) is happy with that. But if Israel is not happy with the way resolution 1701 was drafted, why did they accept it? Lebanon shamelessly pushed for a second, then a third draft during the war, why didn't you push for it?
