Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.09.06)
A retard could figure it out.
2. Is this war?
G ,   shomron   (11.09.06)
Why does israel care? These people live in an area that bombards sderot daily, do you think they are asking such questions? this is war, stop helping the other side, and stop transferring their victims to our hospitals.
3. USrael out of the UN NOW
martin ,   amsterdam, holland   (11.09.06)
What a complete SHAME USrael out of the UN NOW War criminals
4. Gaza
Dejan ,   L.A.   (11.09.06)
I don't know how and when this happend, but you guys are acting like Germans during llWW. Shame on you. The whole world is looking what is next.
5. #4 the usual idiot nazi comparison
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.09.06)
"you guys are acting like Germans during llWW." When did the Germans ever apologize for killing 18 people during World War II? If the IDF was "just like the Germans" there would be 180,000 dead in Gaza, not just 18. Sri Lanka bombed a school today killing 23 people. I'm waiting for you to compare Sri Lanka to the nazis.
6. Just Curious...
Jessica ,   usa   (11.09.06)
Why Israel is considered Barbaric - but the Palestinians can send over Quassams and no one cares.......and then why everyone points a finger at Israel and no one really cares about the massacres in Darfur? A little antisemitism maybe?
7. I'm with kyle
marya ,   sacramento,USA   (11.09.06)
There are no limits to what the throat cutters will do to bring condemnation upon Israel. Just like Gaza beach and Qana - all connived and perpetrated by the insanely jealous arabs. Why did they put a rocket launcher on the roof of the apartments at Qana? Why did they rig an IED on Gaza beach for picnikkers to launch when they reached for the hummus? They care about NO-ONE. They wallow in blood for the sake of a photo-op. They repeatedly launch kassams into Israel and when Israel reacts they throw their hands to the sky and wail, "See, Israel doesn't want peace." DO YOU GET WHAT THEY MEAN BY "PEACE " SCHMUCKS? PS. to Martin: How does Amsterdamistan sound to you bro?
8. Responce to # 3
Shimmon ,   Tzfat Israel   (11.09.06)
You idiot if these jerks weren't firing rockets every day for the last two and a half years at Israels towns nobody would be trying to shoot anything in Hamastan ie Gaza. Israel withdrew hoping this peace jesture would enable Israel to disengage your PA PALS. But they don't want a two state solution they only want to keep the gunfires burning. So cut out this enableing whining and point the finger to the real criminals. If you had your way all the people of Israel would just cut their own wrists . Would that make your antisemetic self happy Martian oops Martin sorry.
9. The right approach
paul malykont ,   los osos, usa   (11.09.06)
Israel is right to attack terrorists, must continue withdrawal and must know that it will take years, if not decades to overcome 40 years of occupation. If we had followed the Allon Plan at the beginning, we would be done by now. Hunt down the terrorists and limit civilian causualties as much as possible, but stay on this necessary course. The path to peace and security is difficult, but there is no other choice.
10. THIS AUTHOR DIDNT WRITE ABOUT THE
.....DACON9   (11.09.06)
daily qassam attacks average of 8 a day. SO ISRAEL IS LUCKY THAT THE ARABS OCCUPYING GAZA HASINFERIOR WEAPONS.. AND THIS APOLOGETIC AUTHOR CONDEMNS ISRAEL BECAUSE THEY ARE A SUPERIOR FORCE... YO...FISHMAN..WHY NOT DONATE TO BETTER EQUIPT THE ARABS TO ATTACK ISRAEL ALSO. YOU CAN MAKE A WEAPONS DRIVE FOR THE ARABS WHILE YOUR AT THIS INSULTS YOU OFFER...
11. #3 & #4
David ,   St. Louis, USA   (11.09.06)
#4 Or maybe Israel is acting more restrained than the Allies when they bombed Dresden. #3 I'd love to see the USA and Israel leave the UN. The the UN can be kicked out of NY too. And by the way there goes all the UN's funding. What a shame. What do you care anyway, the Netherlands will be the first EU nation to be under Sharia anyway. Good luck to you Martin.
12. "Innocent" Arabs
Arthur ,   S Francisco   (11.09.06)
There are no innocent Arabs. They are the trespassers on the Jewish Land. Throw them all out - and let them set up their PalyWood studios someplace else. There is no time for a misplaced pity during the time of war
13. #4
wayne hutchinson ,   toronto, canada   (11.09.06)
You are a biased fellow, if not too simplistic. In any case remove the veil from your eyes. A comparison with nazism is far to extreme and out of place. It perhaps reveals the Arab mentality......hate Israel at all costs....exterminate the country. In ww2, the Germans were never in danger of losing their land and did not need to fight in self defence. This is the same with such Arab entities as Syria and Iran who are in no danger of losing their countries to Israel, yet plot an extermination of the Jews out of racial hatred. This is not to be denied. Simply put....no hatred or racism directed toward Israel equals not military responses from Israel in defence of it right to exist. Why can I see the picture.....an WASP without any initial feelings of partiality. However Arafat, Iran, the so-called Palestinians and their terror have made me partial to the Israeli cause. I am fed up with the racism shown by the Arabs and the blinded partiality to the Muslims from such self-serving nations as Holland and France that made the mistake of letting them into their lands. 14. Martin, No. 3
New Yorker ,   NY   (11.09.06)
Martin, What the heck are you doing here pointlessly sloganeering? Waist of energy Martin. If you truly want to make a difference buy yourself a one way ticket to Gaza and enjoy becoming a human shield for a worthless cause. No, it wouldn't be entirely worthless. I'm sure some junk playwrite will come forward and with an idiotic theater production commemorating your stupidity a-la Rachel Corrie. In the process, that playwrite would turn into a short-lived celebrity making a few bucks. So it is worth something after all. I suggest you stop waisting your time unnecessarily.
15. Dejan, No. 4
New Yorker ,   NY   (11.09.06)
Before you say something like you did in your post comparing the "us guys" to "Germans in IIWW"" you should perhaps get a better idea of what was happening then and now. So shame on you for being that stupid. As for the world - screw it: it looked on AND actively took part in the Halacaust while it went on.
16. strange shelling
michele ,   Sweden   (11.09.06)
How come that there were only women and children in this shelling? Were were the men? One was shown later when he arrived after the so called shelling. Where was he beforehand?
17. yep
israel   (11.09.06)
their were very similar unexplainable gaps and questions with the qana incident, if anyone remembers. but of course they don't, the qana "massacre" is already engraved in history as such. this is only my unproven instinct, but from the moment it happened, i strongly felt that there was something very off--and it wasn't israeli artillery. wonder if this phenomenon is connected to publicly convicting katsav before a full investigation and trial is completed. (who knows the truth? were there eye-witnesses to any aspect of the charges against him?) feels kinda midda k'negged midda somehow. after all, we are ultimately one people and the world TOTALLY revolves around our deeds and misdeeds. everything depends on us getting our act together. or it will be gotten together for us. either way, it will be good, somehow.... just wish we were there already. yes yes, jews are really important. the most important. and different from everyone else, no matter how much we knock ourselves out trying to fit in elsewhere.
18. #4 You don't know anything about us
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (11.09.06)
As you said, you don't know how this happened. And you don't know a thing about us. If you knew anything, you wouldn't have said what you did. While we are trying to protect ourselves from daily missiles being fired at us, injured palestinians are brought to Israeli hospitals and food and medical supplies continue to go into gaza only to be taken from Hamas. THAT is why the people there are in such distress. All they have to do is STOP FIRING MISSILES AT US.
19. Who cares? Only nazis will blame us!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (11.09.06)
Anyone who is on the side of the arabs is our enemy, just like the nazis were. Too bad we do not really act like nazis instead of scared rabbits. If we were as bad as everyone says, then there would be a million dead palestinians. That would be the better method.
20. @nr18
thommy ,   germany   (11.09.06)
yes ur very right also its so much not comparable to what germany did in ww2 u should check ur history books and watch some pics there they didnt kill kids by artellery failure they killed kids by throwing them against stones in dead camps
21. No. 16
Joe Simon ,   Kfar Aviv, Israel   (11.09.06)
He was probably setting off the bombs that later were claimed to have been shot by Israeli cannon.
22. beit hanoun massacre
leena ,   gaza, palestine   (11.10.06)
It is nice to blindfolded, the reality become unreal. Any one of you think that Israel behaviour is not comparable to what German did in WW2, and would like to see and feel what the reality is, then please come and stay just for one day as my guest in beit hanoun or rafah or genin or any were in any inch of the occupied territories by Israel. Believe me you will change your name shape and attitude to life, May be you will turn into raging monster.
23. Leena, I hope you know Arabs supported the Nazis
Jake   (11.10.06)
You should not dare to use the word 'Nazis' today.
24. I am with Kyle in Southpark too!
Ginette ,   Toronto   (11.10.06)
He is writing what I am thinking...Thanks!
25. Palestinians are playing with fire
m   (11.10.06)
You play with fire, you get burned. Of course israel is going to be harpooned and violence is not the answer, but once you start to mature it will become more important to you what God thinks of you then another human being does, In the process you will be knocked around.Because that is the wilderness experience. How do we know? because we are witnesses too, called out by God and have gone through the same process even with our own families, and even deserved sometimes through our own mistakes
26. Bet Hanun, who cares?
Francois ,   Montreal, Canada   (11.10.06)
Arabs must stop firing their rockets at any price, what is currently at stake is the end of attacks against criminal Arab settlers occupying Gaza. The war must go on.
27. to #22, Leena in Prison in Gaza?
Anna ,   Canada   (11.10.06)
Didn’t you get independence and a free boarder with Egypt last year? What did you do for all this time with the hot houses and property that Israelis left you? How are you using your regained freedom that you don’t feel yourself free?
28. #22, Self-inflicted misery
Anna ,   Canada   (11.10.06)
If you leaders don’t want to create the so much wished country alongside with Israel, why do you think Israel has to do it for you? Or you want to rename again the same land and to throw Jews into the sea? Try to coexist. Some are really trying. But some prefer to terrorize others and to sacrifice their own babies for the cause of destroying not creating.Leena, when you’ll understand that loving your children means teaching them good, showing them the best , value human life more then anything, maybe then you wouldn’t leave in self-inflicted prison.
29. #22
Derek   (11.10.06)
Thank you, Leena. I hope someone takes up your offer. It would undoubtedly lessen the ingorance and misinformation that has come from the US/Israeli media PR machine. Have you spent time in the (non-Israeli-colonized) Occupied Territories? Do you REALIZE how horrible life is there? Oh yes, that's all the Palestinians' fault, being unintelligent, violent, dirty, (and other ignorantly-biased name-calling) people who never had any right to live on this land. I have three different friends from the US (who don't know one another), all Jewish, who have spent extended periods of time in both Israel and the occupied territories. They were astonished at the obvious human rights violations oppressing the Palestinians and astonished by the warm hospitality and gentle nature of MOST Palestinians. I would be angry, too, if I lived in Gaza. With little money, clean water, or ability to travel more than a few miles from my home, all because of an oppressive and (by international law) highly illegal military occupation, maybe I would become a monster, too.
30. Ignore the rantings, not the suffering
Ilan ,   Ariel   (11.10.06)
Regardless of the cause the chidren who died there were blameless. I don't discount the possibilty of this being a work accident, but even if it were a stray shell it was an accidental stray shell fired in response to pali attempts to cause exactly what happened in Beit Hanoun to some Jewish family in Sderot. They brought this down upon themselves either way.
