I have three different friends from the US (who don't know one another), all Jewish, who have spent extended periods of time in both Israel and the occupied territories. They were astonished at the obvious human rights violations oppressing the Palestinians and astonished by the warm hospitality and gentle nature of MOST Palestinians. I would be angry, too, if I lived in Gaza. With little money, clean water, or ability to travel more than a few miles from my home, all because of an oppressive and (by international law) highly illegal military occupation, maybe I would become a monster, too.
