31. I know Israel.
Nathan Rai ,   Bangalore   (11.10.06)
Israel, know that some do trust you, admire you and love you for the way you live.. Now more than ever, the media must remember Shylocks plaintive ' Dont Jews feel pain ? Dont they cry ? '. The media for whatever reason refuse to beleive that Jews feel pain, they cry. Palestines lies are never publicised. Palestinian claims are never investigated against facts on the ground. No one except America ever feel your pain. Be strong. Trust your sons. 8 shells fall in one place and 2 in another, 400 mts away. Dont let your despair cloud your judgement. Dont get defensive because you dont know what really happened. Thats not how you survived on this land for more than 50 years. Remember " why " those who died. Remember " how " those who survived. Be strong. Beleive in the goodness of your own..
32. How can Israel justify such acts?
giovanna ,   lyon, france   (11.10.06)
I do'nt mind the military aspects of this "mistake". What should be investigated is the "way of thinking" which is behind this kind of military act, i.e. the idea that Israel's survival can justify absolutely anything. Shimon Peretz said "We are sorry. We did'nt mean to do that". Is that enough?
33. I understand...
Harissa ,   Israel   (11.10.06)
I understand this. It is very possible. But I ask over and over again, don`t we understand that this is a war we will never win this way? Don`t we understand that is not a question of targeting people and launchers but minds? We became as brutal as the fanatics in the middle east, we lost the art of politics and strategy, and this is a road with no end... And we will be lost, because they have nothing else to loose... History taught us nothing...and this is really sad for people such as the jewish people, the light house of reason...
34. our trap
Aaron Rabinovich ,   Canada   (11.10.06)
I really want to read open-minded logical post here, from 32 post here 29 sing the same song. How much the Arab are bad and deserve death. Even Alex Fishman got slamed and become pro Palestinian just because he is posting question. It seems no brilliant minded left in Israel, where all they go?. What decease flash your mind guy. Where is the genoisity of the Jews have gone ?to Gaza ?to alkassam? We are the leader in science, music, culture, philosophy,…..etc. Endless count of brilliant history. Is that the big conspiracy, to bring us from over the world to be the slave of own trap, and exhaust our talent and power in Gaza, alkassam, suicide bomber, Hizbollah ,Quana etc… When I read such posting, it is scary to see how much the true Jewish spirit went dow
35. To No. 32, Giovanna
NYC Girl   (11.10.06)
Perhaps you should go back and read this article carefully. The savage bastards from Hamas were setting up the rockets in the early morning to be able to hit Israeli children on their way to school. Okay? Then come back and ask "How can Israel justify such acts?" It's the Palestinians and their "way of thinking" that's the cause of all the carnage. Were you living under a rock during the four years of suicide bombings when the Palestinians were trying to turn Israel into a slaughterhouse? You seem to be quite adept at overlooking the mayhem that was caused in Israel on a daily basis and that's why even leftists like me completely disregard your argument.
36. To n.35 NYC Girl
giovanna ,   lyon, france   (11.10.06)
So, to avoid killing some children you kill other children! Good shot! (if I may say so...). This seems perfectly logical and it explains why the war between Israel and the Palestinians will never be over. But, maybe you do'nt want it to be over; or, maybe, you think Palestinian children are more worth killing than Israeli ones?
37. The photo is pure Pallywood.
sk ,   USA   (11.10.06)
Who couldn't recognize this stagecraft by now? The "wailing" "Palestinian" women caught by the carefully pre-positioned, elevated tripod? The color and light balance all mysteriously perfect? And all this accompanies the usual crowd of improbable cirumstances that just don't add up.
38. You are si right Martin, but for the wrong reason
Cynic ,   USA   (11.10.06)
They should leave that corrupt organization, which has member nations,i.e. Iran who boldly advocate genocide. Of course that is something you probably applaud.
39. So suddenly the censor starts to cut me?
sk ,   USA   (11.10.06)
So, I can blast away againt homophobia, but when I detail why this photo looks staged and why #9 is wrong, I am cut? That won't do, ynet.
40. to 36, giovanna
avner ,   israel   (11.10.06)
Listen to yourself for a minute. Your argument is totally flawed. You are not looking at the FACTS!! You are accusing the IDF of deliberately looking for a way to kill children in Gaza in response to Hamas deliberately and resolutely targeting Israeli children in their schools. Israel does not look for children to target. But Hamas hind behind and use children and women for their own cause. With the military might of the IDF, we could possibly wipe out the entire Bet Hanoun in a matter of days, but instead we take all measures possible not to harm civilians. When ACCIDENTS like this happen, Israel is the first and probably only country in the world to humbly apologize for the deaths of innocent civilians in front of the world, while the Palestinians rush to the streets in jubilation when Israeli children are killed in suicide bombings and with INTENT! And do you have any comments about that? Shame on you for your hipocracy.
41. Photo of crying Arab women
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.10.06)

42. No, it's NOT logical!
RIB ,   USA   (11.11.06)
No such thing as (2) 400 meter 'Short Rounds' with Forward Observers on the ground! If the data doesn't show a call for 'Check Fire' - look somewhere else before Israel takes responsibility.
43. To#3 and #4
PatriotUSA ,   Redmond, Oregon   (11.11.06)
You two take first prize for naroow minded thinking, racism and stpudity!. Did you evr stop and think(nope, you don't do that do you!) that if the stining islamofacists would STOP shooting missles into Israel, stop sending HOMICIDE bombers to kill INNOCENT CHILDREN, women and men into Israel, stop ranting for all Jews to killed and Israel cease to exist etc.. that Israel WOULD NOT have to retaliate? No you don't think of this because you are BLINDED BY YOUR HATRED of Israel and Jews! You and the world continue to turn a blind eye towards all the disgusting crimes the arabs have committed towards the Jews and Israel. But when Israel defends herself all hell breaks loose and it always the Jews fault. Go screw yourselves, both of you. Move to gazastan if you feel so bad for these islamofacist murderers. By the way, I think it would be great if the U.S. left the UN for good.
44. Not sure if I'm talking to Kyle anymore, but 41 is PERFECT
sk ,   USA   (11.11.06)
I actually wrote an earlier TB (cut) that commented on the apparently artful cropping. Lo! Notice how much more fake the original looks. You see, Pallywood does learn. Here is a link to an short analysis of photos for the famous hole in the building. Apparently, it keeps GROWING! Scary. http://verbalcaricature.com/2006/11/10/apafpreutersyahoo-news-at-it-again/
45. the photo 41, 44
Nigel ,   UK   (11.11.06)
Not sure if anyone can accept this, but I believe to come from a rational middle ground. I think both sides have much blame to take, based on equally appalling evidence of crimes against humanity from both sides. From this point of view, this photo has no less valididy from this outside perspective. Some women who are upset like to scream and point, and some look away nervously. I see no evidence for the Pallywood. Based on this presentation and responses, my only conclusion is that any perceived logical connection to Pallywood is based on preconception.
46. Photo Fakery
Eli Reuven ,   Newton USA   (11.11.06)
Thanks for the uncropped version. There was no need for it to have been cropped unless the cropper wished to present something other than the truth. The uncropped version wasn't a fake, was it? ;^)
47. Another Qana 2 set-up. Lesson from Hizbollah
John ,   NZ   (11.12.06)
48. Nigel (45): huh?
sk ,   USA   (11.11.06)
Everything is based to some extent on "preconception." In fact, perception itself is based on cognition: what we "see" is not just what the eye throws at the retina. The issue consists of the problems with the supposed narrative (lots of peculiar circumstances) as well as the photos. I have already linked to a mysteriously growing hole, as if the props department wanted to make some mid-movie adjustments. Israel has yet to be accused of a Pallywood movie where whole "massacres" are simply manufactured. The Pals continue to produce them. In the last year we had the famous Gaza Beach Fraud that even included a little girl rolling around screaming and complaining that "the Jews hurt me." Where have you been?
49. #2
zov ,   Rosenberg, TX   (11.12.06)
It clear now that each artillery regiment should have a lawyer and a psychoanalyst and also a human right watcher, a social worker and investigating journalist for the salaries Saudis pay to UN sleeze batallion.
50. Civilians legitimate targets
Mordechai ,   Boca Raton USA   (11.12.06)
Civilians are legitimate targets under international law. The Geneva conventions only protect civilians if their side adheres to the same prohibition. Once the Arabs target Israeli civilians, Israel has no obligation to not attack Arab civilians. #3 is right Israel and the US should get out of the anti American and anti Semitic UN. It's a joke. The UN is an anti freedom organization no free country should support

even that the reply to any question may be not true ,,but sure sometimes the question is also not true ,,if i want to reply to yours ,,,i want to tell the man any one must do the right inspite of the others doing ..it means if all the media is lying i must be not ... if there is evil in darfure or in palastin or in india i must do the right ,,this is the simple lesson i was taught from my mother while iam a child [be good whatever the other is ,do not imitate the evil just deny it
52. @Kyle #5 . But zionists do have the dignity to take
Kais ,   Qatar   (11.12.06)
billions of German deutsch marks paid by German tax money over 40 years as a compensation fee for the suffering of the jews during WW 2 ! You guuys are pathetic and don't have dignity whatsoever! Palestinians would burn this money if Israel ever decided to pay for its suffering inflicted upon the palestinians!
53. Re #22 Leena
ROSE LAX ,   canada   (11.12.06)
Perhaps you would like to spend a day at Sderot.....or do you even know what is happening there??
54. re: 32
ROSE LAX ,   canada   (11.12.06)
What drugs are you on? Where can I get some?
55. Kais (52) on Pals burning money
sk ,   USA   (11.13.06)
You must be kidding. The Pals would never see the money, for it would go directly to the pockets of the political elites. Just ask Suha (Boo-hoo! May the blood of Abu Amar be avenged!).
56. #52 "Palestinians would burn this money"
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.13.06)
Just like they burn everything else the Israelis gave them (remember those greenhouses?) and then sit and cry for more handouts from the US and the UN and the EU. Israel gives more humanitarian aid of all kinds to the Palestinians than you oil sheiks ever did.
57. To those on the side of Israel....
Maria T ,   BC Canada   (11.13.06)
I've read all the comments posted here and I hear the cry Stop the Bombing again and again. The fact is that Arabs are not listening and their aggression is not going to stop. Why should it? It's not peace that they want. They want the obliteration of Israel and nothing less. And it is pointless to ask them to stop because they feel they are already winning the war, slowly but surely. They have the media on their side and most of the world's opinion as well. And don't make appeals to Arabs to care for their women and babies either because they are expendable in the pursuit of a greater goal. The real problem for Israelis now is that the time for low-tech warfare on the part of the Palestinians is ending and very soon Israel may have to deal with even more destructive technology. Something must be done about this conflict very soon because there is not much time left for appeals to reason, or minor negotiations, or land for peace, or military action that more often than not backfires. The idea often expressed here of an all out military attack is not practical in the long term either. This very tiny country is fighting with its back to the sea and the world seems to only care about the price of oil. A new vision, an entirely new and bold strategy, is needed. Time is running out. I don't know what. Maybe somebody out there does. Not the government, I'm afraid. But somebody....
