1. That's fine with me
Aharon   (11.12.06)
Just don't go crying to the UN about how we opress you when we take back Gaza and the West Bank.
2. ie, the palestinians movent is not a national movement
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (11.12.06)
meaning that they do not want their own country. palestinians want to eliminate the jews (genocide) in order to control the territory (colonialism) and impose their islamic dominance on every soul here (talibanism). these terrorists are beneath contempt, and no one should complain when israel responds to their immoral perversions.
3. Here's one who will never go down in history
Israel   (11.12.06)
as a great Statesman. He will however, go down as the biggest a-hole the Palestinians have spewed out though. What a stupid ignorant idiot. 'Sick prisioners"? they don't have any medical facilities in Gaza and hardly any in the West Bank, so he's not exactly doing them a favour. I can't believe what I read here, it's a joke right? come on ynet, you are joking, he never said this, did he?
4. # 3 Yes
Sagi ,   Israel   (11.12.06)
He said it and more, he meant it. Stop dreaming.
5. Of course people like Beilin will say 'we must negotioate'
redmike ,   tel aviv & london   (11.12.06)
I like the kind of statements made by Mahmoud al-Zaha ! Neither we or any other country could ask for anything less ambiguous. Be interesting which member of the 'left' will be the first to step up to the plate and say 'we have to negotiate'. Will anyone be dumb enough to say that ? You bet :-)
6. hamas
isiaiah   (11.12.06)
accepting recognition from hamas is ridiculous a ceasefire is fine no killing on both sides is welcome the path to calm . with time people will be the common humanity.
7. Repeating Arafat's statements
Itzik ,   Haifa   (11.12.06)
Nothing new. Repeating Arafat's statements. This is guy , it seems, is in love with Beilin/Peres.
8. Same Old Same Old . . . The Tune Never Changes
emanon ,   USA   (11.12.06)
9. Big talk from a little man
Mike   (11.12.06)
He has no control over what's happening in Gaza, no one does. That's the problem in the Arab world, if you don't have a murderous thug running the show, you end up with a bunch of power hungery killers willing to do and say whatever it takes to make a name for themselves. The world will be better served not asking these morons any questions. Not only are they blinded by hate, they are totally inarticulate when describing the situation at hand; and have no plans for their people in the future.
10. Unbelievable.
magrudis ,   Mars   (11.12.06)
It is hard to fathom the stupidity of Hamas. According to this schmutz, even if they get more than will ever be offered, they will still want more. He has to know Israel will tell him to take his hudna and shove it up his buttna. So, what is his plan? Continue to fire highly ineffective bottle-rockets from behind human barriers and hope the IDF kills enough of their civilian sandbags to bring about international intervention? When will the Pal public wake up and take a realisitic approach to their situation.
11. 10000 Prisoners
magrudis ,   Mars   (11.12.06)
They should release the prisoners using a medieval catapult... launching them into Gaza one by one until Gilad is released. If they should kill him then continue firing until all of the prison's 10,000 "rounds" of ammunition is depleted. Violence is all Hamas understands.
12. WE NOOOOOOOOOO NEEED TO BE RECOGNIZE BY NOTHING !!!!!!
AVINU   (11.12.06)
" PALESTINE " NEVER EXIST ! SO YOU AL-ZAHAR GO TO HELL OR SHUT UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
13. ask him again after he's starved to death
aaron ,   ra'anana   (11.12.06)
14. thats good news
Yisraeli   (11.12.06)
besides we dont need any recognition by a non entity.
15. Hudna is synonym of taqqya!
enzo ,   london,uk   (11.12.06)
He said precisely the same thing a few months ago in an interview which appeared on the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood website! Nothing new, then! Let's move on!
16. al-zahar We ll never recognize israel
Henryk ,   Ramat GAN/israel   (11.12.06)
ABBA EBAN HOW RIGHT U WERE WHEN U SAID THEY NEVER MISS AN OPPORTINITY TO MISS AN OPORTUNITY,OR MR BAILIN/MR PERES WHEN SHALL U LEARN THAT THEY DO NOT WANT US HERE ITS TIME WE SHALL FINISH THE WALL IN THE WEST BANK AND AND GAZA
17. the execuse in the past was
(11.12.06)
negotiation should be direct. Now the precondition is recognition. What would be the execuse in the future ?
18. Spout du jour
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (11.12.06)
Every Pali "statesman" seems to be spouting off in a different direction on any given day. Is the world supposed to take these asshats serious? The only time they seem to speak in unison appears to be when they want to wipe out or blame something or somebody. Maybe they're trying to see which "policy" produces the best $$ results. When it doesn't turn out to their liking, they can always start the process over on a different tack; ad infinitum and nauseam. This is like grabbing water with bare hands. But, if 70% of the population want Hamas, let Hamas feed and look after them. Unfortunately for the poor slobs at the far end of the food chain, nothing will ever change as long as somebody forks over enothing $$ to make it worthwhile for the powers that be to hang on. Doesn't anybody in that mental desert ever think past next week or next year and wonder what they're leaving their children?
19. NOW, is that clear enough!!
RIB ,   USA   (11.12.06)
It's still "Arafat's path", same path with the same results!!! >On March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here's what he said: "The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism." ~In world history, no other nation has ever begged it's enemies to recognize it's right to exist. Golda Meir MOCKED the idea that recognizing Israel was some big deal. "Israel existed for more than six thousands years without Egyptian recognition", she said. It's hard to believe it but Meir's Labour Party was far to the right of today's weak Labour Party... and Likud as well. Nobody deserves Praise for recognizing Israel's right to exist. And nobody deserves 'Attention' for NOT! Israel wants Peace - Make 'PEACE' their only OTHER OPTION! http://www.acpr.org.il/English-Nativ/issue1/Abelson-1.htm http://www.aish.com/jewishissues/middleeast/A_Manifesto_for_Murder.asp http://www.aish.com/jewishissues/middleeast/The_Refugee_Issue.asp http://www.mythsandfacts.com/Conflict/statute-treaties/all.htm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbTpy5ybgnE&mode=related&search= "The Struggle with the Zionist enemy is not a struggle about Israel's borders, but about Israel's 'existence'. We will never agree to anything less than the return of all our land and the establishment of the independent state." - Bassam Abu Sharif, PLO spokesman (May 31, 1986)
20. Well, We're Here Anyway ....
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (11.12.06)
And we certainly don't need your recognition. Maybe you'll recognize the IAF when we come & bomb you? You can stick your "recognition" up where the sun don't shine - you can fool your crazy fanatic followers with this BS boasting but the truth is you're a bunch of poverty-stricken beggars waiting for international hand-outs. Your movement is a dismal failure.
21. pay
hanzalah naji ali ,   al-shajara   (11.12.06)
Israel create hamas to face PLO exactly as Usa create al qaeda and benladen to face USSR, Usa paid in 911 and still paying, and israel get what it want of continuing war, and hamas is now calm, no suiside operations, not because of wall and security causions, but because of they want to stay in their seats in government, if israel wise it will not push hamas out of government otherwise israel will pay a lot, i am a christian arab israeli living in ramla, visiting ramallah once in every two weeks for shoping and seeing relatives, i enter to ramalah and go out of ramalah to israel, not one check point stoping me, each time i m looking to my wife and asking her what these dummy soldiers are doing here, inviting hamas or jihad to do something, too bad that israelies people doesnt know that there is no boarders even with walls, and what securing them now is that hamas ( maybe for now only) want to secure her place in authority, so stop all the jalks that i read here, and stop killing people because by this action you are throwing the remaing silent people in west bank and gaza to support hamas, stop your dummy action, may god give you the wisdom to creat love and not hate.
22. By not recognising Israel gives Hamas
John ,   NZ   (11.12.06)
their justification to attack Israel whenever they like. They always find a reason to attack Israel; Israel stole their land: Allah told them so: whatever
23. Israel is here whether you "recognize" is or not
(11.12.06)
Meanwhile, there is no viable nation called Palestine. That is a fact that the palestinian Arabs just don't seem to want to "recognize."
24. From the mouth of the dark force
Brod ,   USA   (11.12.06)
It comes right from the mouth of the leadership of the Islamist-Jihadist savages that Israel is confronting daily. This is reality. Israel must never deal and compromise with its dark enemies that are hell-bent on its destruction. And Israel should not give in to any external pressure that is engineered and manipulated by Islamist-Jihadist entities such as Saudi Arabia--the MASTER terrorist state of the world that attacked America on 9/11. Instead the Free World should pressure the Islamist-Jihadist countries such as Saudi Arabia to accommodate their fellow Islamist-Jihadists encroaching in the biblical and historic homeland of Israel.
25. This guy looks like a Sephardi Jew from Kings Highway
Mush DeLeon ,   Brooklyn, New York   (11.12.06)
He should go back to selling "jeansim" and put his black felt kipa back on.
26. #22 who said that ?!
(11.12.06)
Who said that recognition will prevent others from attacking you? Only "mutually recognized" countries are the ones who had wars between them throughout history !
27. "hudna" is hamas' way of saying:
Roni   (11.13.06)
Israel has to promise not to touch us while we need more time to get stronger to kill all of you
28. Israel does NOT need man to recognize what G-D gave
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (11.15.06)
What arrogance.
