IN REGARD TO THE HOLOCAUST AND HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS. ALL GERMANS SHOULD SPEND THEIR LIVES DOING WHAT THIS DECENT YOUNG MAN HAS DONE--SEEKING FORGIVENESS FROM JEWS.
5. #2
Arthur ,   S Francisco   (11.14.06)
Moron... One day the you will pay the price for being concieved on the bed which belonged to the Jews, living in a house that belonged to the Jews, eating from the plates that belonged to the Jews. Thieves and murderers.

Tom ,   USA   (11.14.06)
For being born? Does this mean that I have to go and start apologizing to the Indians? Is this some liberal wet dream or what?
8. Apolgy by the German
Dr.Joji Cherian ,   Aluva India   (11.14.06)
Germany is a defeated ntion and Jews can gag the Germans even now in the name of holocast. What about he terrible inhuman atrocitiec being committed on the Palestenions by the Jews? Who will apologise to them? Who will pay reperations to them. They have no power to extort money like the Jews
9. control
jim johnson ,   newark new jersey   (11.14.06)
Should the new generation wail all day long? Are you guys nuts or just control hungry? What about innocent palestinians. How about spending your lives repenting for killing them?
10. A Very Moving Story.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (11.14.06)
".. to personally apologize for grandfather's conduct during WWII". A very moving story. Yes, all young Christian Germans should take the example of Robin Parkircher and go to Israel and apologize to the survivors of the holocaust. And while in Israel they can also visit the holy places in the Holy Land. This will strenghten the visitors - religiously and morally.
11. PARKIRCHER HAS NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (11.14.06)
He himself is guilty of NOTHING. His grandfather was. It's a nice gesture- even noble, but at the same time, unneccesary.
12. To No. 8
NYC Girl   (11.14.06)
What a miserable excuse for a human being you are, and seeing the title of "Dr." in front of your name makes your racist comments even more appalling.
13. #9
(11.14.06)
"How about spending your lives repenting for killing them?" How about spending YOUR life surrounded by them, knowing most of them would like nothing better than to blow your goddamned head off?
14. He should ask the Palestinians for forgiveness.
Pretty Girl ,   Poland   (11.14.06)
And so the Israelis should do before it is to late to ask for it.
15. He is guilty of nothing
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.14.06)
He may have some self esteem issues, but there is no such thing as inherited guilt.
16. #11 I agree with Yishai
Zvi ,   USA   (11.14.06)
17. #8 maybe you can end the conflict tomorrow
Zvi ,   USA   (11.14.06)
Dr. Cherian, you've been watching WAY too much propaganda. Start looking past it. The Israelis left Gaza, but the Gazans INSISTED on bringing them back by firing 2000 rockets at them and invading Israel proper. If you sympathize with the people of Gaza, you should simply be telling them to STOP SHOOTING THE ROCKETS AND RETURN THE SOLDIER, because if they do that, the conflict in Gaza will simply end. Done. Finished. Israel has no desire to rule over the Gazans and a quiet border is the only thing it is looking for there. Then tell them to stop sending their kids to participate in armed conflicts with soldiers. And to stop using their women as human shields. After all, these are THEIR women and kids. Why do they insist in sending them into battle? Maybe the Palestinian Authority would actually listen to you and end this idiocy. Heh. Of course they wouldn't -- but you would find out what it's like to deal with them. Remember that HAMAS's suicidal insanity drives even Egypt and the Saudis nuts. Have fun.
18. this is a very emotional subject for me
Michael ,   Austin, TX   (11.14.06)
but...I don't know any Jews who blame TODAY'S germans for the Holocaust. Jews are smarter than that. We know that TODAY'S germans weren't even born yet. On the other hand, arabs, in some insane bizzaro way, blame all westerners for the crusades of 1000 years ago. and some X-tians blame ME for killing their lord (!). Are Jews the only people on earth that are able to get on with their lives and try to make things better for their children???
19. Befuddled Michael
Paul ,   Austin, TX USA   (11.14.06)
I'm curious how it's only "Arabs" (who happen to be Christians sometimes) and not "muslims" (who are more than just Arab- Turk, Kurd, Persian, etc.) who lay the blame of the crusades on "all westerners." Skip the Judeosupremicist talk, please. Plenty of peoples try to make better for their children, and they're not always Jews. How easily we forget there are a couple billion more people outside of the jew-xian-muslim quagmire.
20. Debra USA and guilt through the generations
Rustum ,   London, UK   (11.14.06)
So you believe that guilt passes on through the generations? Until the 5the generation? Really, the comment you made was one of the most stupid I have read here. - and that does not detract from the beautiful humane act of the young German visiting Israel. however, for you to extend the logic, in a very feeble manner, to include all Germans who were not born at the time is simply ludicrous. I presume you are now gong to suggest that all Israelis apologise to Israelis for the forced exodus of 1948 - whether the Israelis were alive or not born yet.
21. but will jews EVER apologize?
American ,   USA   (11.14.06)
for killing arab kids- woman--squatting their land- taking their dignity, olives orchards- HUH? comon now jews----
22. EXACTLY 8
American ,   USA   (11.14.06)
and of course- the jew will NEVER apologize- for they are 'chosen' and never do anything wrong- lolol. no wonder thy yhave been kicked out of every country they have EVER lived in. EVER_-- now think about that you 'smart' jews- . its not so smart always getting your self disliked . is it/ and IT IS NOT JEALOSUY--- as the next jew answer will be- no one wants to be or look like a jew- or be hated- it is your JEW EGO-
23. Arab phony American; Arabs should apologize to the Jews.
Daisy ,   USA   (11.14.06)
The Arabs keep stealing Jewish land, murdering Jewish children, committing acts of terror against the great country of Israel. These Arabs need to spend hundreds of years apologizing to the Jews for all the horrific crimes agianst humanity they've committed against Israel. Please go back to Arabia and leave my country alone. Also boycott Israel and throw away your computer.
24. Jews must reflect
Mike ,   London, UK   (11.15.06)
These conversations are going nowhere because both sides claim ownership to the same land and insist their opinions are more righteous than the other side. Right now the jews have the upper hand because of military might but this may end one day once Iran or some other ishmaelite state gets enough nuclear technology to in their own twisted opinion "put things right".
25. Poles # 3
charles ,   petach tikva   (11.15.06)
And i will add : and AFTER the war .
26. My Grandfather Worked at Auschwitz
kurt ,   san diego   (11.18.06)
As an architect by trade, my Grandfather was forced to work there in 1942 by the Nazis, until 1945, when he was released and sought refuge in his home town on what became the Russian sector of Berlin. My grandmother was separated from him during those three years, and only saw him once or twice. He was thin and extremely stressed out. No one dare say a word against the Nazis, and their visits together were only for a few days. Then he was forced to report back to his office where he designed the killing machines for the Nazis. It was a terrible, terrible time according to my grandmother. She is still alive at 93. I feel bad about the whole thing, cause I'm Dutch/German. To this day I have a affinity for the Jewish Religion. I consider myself a Noahide. My son will go to a Jewish Day School, with G-d's help and learn about the Real G-d. I apologize for my Grandfather, but I know it's not necessary.
27. contradiction in guilt
charles ,   petach tikva   (11.19.06)
When i ask why babies were killed during the Shoa , i received a response from "religious" Jews : Because of the sins committed by others , family till the 4th generation . Now i read from one of those who think so : Guilt is not inherited . So in case of a German man it's not , also what i'm thinking , but for 1.5 million Jewish children and babies , it yes ?
28. Bernhard Klieger
Jonas Tophoven ,   Paris, France   (04.16.07)
My father was a german soldier. My children go to school in Paris, and I am writing a book about a jewish child which went to the same Kindergarden and died in Auschwitz. While working on the book, I found a book of Bernhard Klieger at my parents place in Germany. I tried to know more about the action of Codac juifs between 1957 and 1963. I'm impressed by the quality of the book and about the fact that 120 000 have been send to german people. I cannot go further in my researches in Belgium, so I try to contact Mr. Noah Klieger. Thanks for help.
29. article from 2006
A ,   Saint Cloud USA   (08.01.10)
Four years ago I found a picture of woman who survived Bergen Belsen taken 16 April 1945. She looks exactly like me at that age in an uncanny way. I have been searching for the identity of this woman. My great grandmother was a Kertesz. The description of the woman in your article of Lili Kertesz fits the person I have been looking for. If I send you a copy of my picture and the picture of the woman is there anyway to see if they are one and the same?
