ANGRY REUVEN ,   USA   (11.16.06)
DONT SHOOT AND WE WONT KILL YOU.THERE ARE MANY LEFTIST AND FOOLISH IN ISRAEL, THEY SHOULD GO TO HELL OR LIVE AMONG ARABS, LET SEE HOW MANY DAYS THEY WILL LIVE.GOD PROTECT THE ISRAELI ARMY WHERE EVER THEY WILL BE
32. Liberal Jews are the biggest problem why we suffer
(11.16.06)
Their claws have Not let go for the past 3000 years we need to get rid of them once and for all
33. I hold my head for same for these Left Wingers
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (11.16.06)
Who have no shame not to have sympathy for the people of sederot. Don't they know that Israel was not in gaza when this all began
34. Dream,Dream,Dream.
Sam ,   NJ USA   (11.16.06)
Yes, we all want peace.Or do we? I just read the Fatah charter. It succinctly and clearly calls for the destruction of israel. So with whom ,my dear buddy liberal Lefties, are we supposed to negotiate with? How much do we have to give away for peace? They say it has to be all of it. Then there is peace. No Israel.
35. It is the attitude of people on this site
fatima ,   Oran Algeria   (11.16.06)
that is not helping the peace process. grow up guys , so some people in israel have compassion for 20 women and children who had been slaughtered in their sleep and injured 45 many seriously , isnt that nice and compassionate . you guys should be proud of these good israelis , not have hate in your heart. Peace has to start somewhere.
36. Create now one state with equal rights
zeev ,   geneva switzerland   (11.16.06)
Both sides will continue killing each other until they return to their brain and begin building one state with equal rights for all, regardless of their religion. This is the only solution which can lead to peace. PEACE WILL BE THE FRUIT OF JUSTICE (Isaiah 32:17).
37. Politically motivated sorrow? enough!
Ilan ,   Ariel   (11.16.06)
The feeling of sorrow and sympathy shouldn't be politically motivated. The children who were killed by the errant shells in Gaza are no less or more worthy of grief than Shalhevet Pas or the Hatuel children who were murdered by Palestinians. The qualitative difference surrounds the motivations that led to the deaths. No Israelis celebrate the deaths of innocents like Hamas celebrated the murder by Qassam yesterday. I also doubt that you will see any sign of sorrow over the death of an Israeli by terror. It is all just self-righteousness.
38. poor misguided people
Andras Bereny ,   Kfar Tapuah, Shomron   (11.16.06)
Poor misguided people. These "innocent" civilians are the ones who voted Hamas in power. The Jewish value in similar circumstances is kill your enemy before he kills you.
39. I agree with number 20
Alissa ,   Tel Aviv   (11.16.06)
40. Save it..dont need ur mourn
Ahmad ,   Pal   (11.16.06)
there isnt enugh news papaers, no enough sorrow for all the kiling by IDF. it will take millions for sorrow/ pages to say ur sorry Israel. i wont trade 1 kid life for all of israel war crimes.
41. and lets apologize for SS who died in warsaw ghetto uprising
aaron ,   ra'anana   (11.16.06)
42. Arabs never apologize for their Terrorism, she should move
Sarit Malahi ,   Kiryat Bialik   (11.16.06)
to Beit Hanoun and stay there, we do not need traitors like her in this country.
43. Do they also cry for the dead nazis?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (11.16.06)
How many nazis and their helpers died in WWII.do they also feel sorry about that? The money spent on the ad could have gone to Jewish victims of arab terror. I feel sorry for every shell that is wasted and does not hit the palestinians. I feel sorry that we have not levelled gaza along time ago.I feel sorry for the ethnic cleansing of Jews from gaza. I feel sorry there are creeps among us who cry over the enemy!
44. GAZA DEATHS
DAVID ,   HERZLIA,ISRAEL   (11.16.06)
I am sorry that people ( men women and children) are killed due to military action mo matter which side is doing the shooting. But to publish an "apologi" in 3 newspapers is overdoing it.. I have never read an apology in any Arab newspapers for all the suicide bombings which killed thousands of Israelies... or for the rockets falling down on Sderot ( which just yesterday killed people in that city, and wounded many others), I never read an apology for the "friendhsip" and support that the Mufti of Jerusalem gave Hitler and the Nazis and for visiting death camps and not saying one single word againts the murder of millions. Mrs.Kowarski, it would be nice if someone in Palestine would spend 650$ as you did and publish "an apology" for deliberately killing Israelis and Jews !!, he would probably be dead within 2 hours after an arab newspaper (if they dare!!) published such an apology. You probably live in Herzlia Pituach,, just wait until the kassams from Kalkilya fall on the villas there, I am sure that our neighbours in Kalkilya will not publish an apology in any arab newspapers,,, I HOPE I AM PROVEN WRONG !!!!
45. #44- You got it all wrong
Khalid ,   The Netherlands   (11.16.06)
You are deliberately ignoring facts in your statement about Arabs apologizing for Israeli civilian deaths. Every life lost is a regrettable and tragic loss. But does Israel (I mean the official position, and not the sympathetic ordinary people) recognize that? The official position is and has always been about the superiority of one people upon another and talk about historic rihghts (which by the way has been largely proven incorrect by no other than the work of Israeli archeologists themselves, read their reports and findings about this matter). Do not ovelook the fact that the Palestinians are the vanquished sidfe in this conflict. They are the ones whos lands are occupied, they are the ones who are surrounded by walls, whose freedom of movements are restricted and who are humiliated on a daily basis at checkponts manned by racist soldiers educated to hate any Arab no matter what. (read the reports about beatings and humiliation as reported by no other than the Israeli human rights orgonizations. Does any one remenber what happened after the Oslo accors/ There was no attacks back then (meaning in the aftermath of signing the accords) yet Israel continues with expanding the settlements, in fact the Palestinians were rewarded by a dramtic increase in the number of settlers on their lands. Add to this the fact that those settlements are kind of racist enclaves, a no go area for Palestinians. Let any of those Americans shouting on this talkback forum imagine that Mexicans or Canadians or whoever are coming to their countries to establish an exclusively Mexican or Canadian, or ,.... enclaves where An American is not allowed to enter (eacept as a sort of slave labourer to serve those new settlers, an anolgy with the situation back on the Palestinian territories) and let those people be honest to themselves and say how the people will react to such violationa of their rights. It ist a chain reation, you oppress any people, humiliate them . deprive them of any hope for a better future and see how things will explode in your face.
46. Beit Hanoun
charles ,   petach tikva   (11.16.06)
He people ! Have we fallen so low as to rejoyce with deaths ? Are we Jews or become palestinians in our behaviour ? They enjoy our deaths ? It shows their "humanity" , we have not to behave the same way . We can feel sorry for deaths , surely when they were victims of a terrible error . Some will call me "a self hating Jewish leftist " , they are so wrong . I'm a proud Jewish Israeli , hating only people who have made us to kill others [ Golda Meir's words , and still actual ]
47. Victims Are Now Perpetrators
James E. Knight ,   Spencerport, NY USA   (11.16.06)
I have recognized a pervasive discrepancy between what we Americans are told about Israel and the Israelis and the actual truth, as revealed by the comments of Israeli posters on Ynet and other Israeli websites. The American public views the Israelis as innocent "victims" of racism and xenophobia. AIPAC has been driving that point home for many decades and the vast majority of Americans still believe that story. The ugly and vicious comments from Israelis, posted on this and similar sites, reveals the true pricture. Sadly, few Americans take the time to read and analyze the Israeli media and/or read the racist feedback generated by ordinary Israelis. If more Americans spent some time reading these horrific Israeli suggestions - mass exterminations of the Palestinians, nuking whole cities, ethnic cleansing etc., - Americans would come to realize that we have been duped and exploited, like rich idiots. I do not deny that the Holoccaust occurred and I do not downplay that tragedy; but taking vengeance on the indigenous Arabs of Palestine and Israel's regional neighbors is counter-productive to the Israeli cause and to Zionism itself. Both of the major US political parties are bought and paid for with AIPAC-generated money. And Israel may control US foreign policy, as evidenced by John Bolton's shameful behavior in the UN; but Israel is slowly losing the support of ordinary Americans. When victims become perpetrators, the sympathy thing wanes. As the word slowly gets out, about the inhumane and racist nature of Israeli society, America will eventually disengage from what appears to be a failed experiment in race-based and faith-based colonialism. That day of reckoning is not about to happen anytime soon, but it will eventually happen. When it does, don't blame the American public, blame yourselves.
48. Wrong people died in Auschwitz
Antonio ,   Haifa   (11.16.06)
49. To James
charles ,   petach tikva   (11.16.06)
James , it's painfull what you wrote . Most of the talkback's are writen by Israeli's , but also other nationals . You have to know that generally , in the whole world , such tb's are mostly send by oponents of something . Not all the Israeli's are full of joy with the Palestinian deaths , certainly not when those victims are truly innocent . But not so many react , sad to say , only extreme views are submitted . Try to look at other tb's . See the reaction of Shalit's father , look at my otheer tb , some tb's higher . You will see , there are some not so hatefull . I understand your feeling , i am sometimes disgusted also , but i know that those tb's do not reflect the general view here .
50. To Charles
James E. Knight ,   Spencerport, NY USA   (11.16.06)
I appreciate your comments and you are correct in asserting that some Israelis are not as hateful as the posters on this and other Israeli sites. The problem is that extremists , in the USA and in Israel, have siezed the controls and are setting the agenda. In America, Gentile critics of the status quo are tarred with the brush of "anti-Semitism " and Jewish critics are branded as "self-hating Jews". There seems to be no room for compromise. I hope that cooler heads will prevail, but I do not hold out much hope for pragmatic and lasting solutions to the basic problems. I apologize, if my comments were "painful" to you, but they reflect my honest appraisal of the situation. I would like to establish communication with ordinary Israelis. Please check out my Livejournal blog. here is the URL. http://new-york-loner.livejournal.com/ Thank you for your comments.
51. to James
charles ,   petach tikva   (11.16.06)
When i wrote "painfull" , i meant to say that it is sad we have to have such [ true ] comments . I was sure those were your sincere ideas . But it is sad , that you were brought to have such feelings . I hope you understand . To explain feelings , you better do it in your mother tongue , English is not mine .
52. (49)Of course talkbacks here reflects Israeli public opinion
Beth Landau ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (11.16.06)
Polls taken in Israel show that almost 70% of Israelis want to take strong military action against terrorism. People understand how intolerable it is to allow murderers to continue shelling our southern region and how necessary it is for a swift and harsh response to such provocative acts of war. The views here represent what the average person in the street is thinking. They surely do reflect the sentiments of the Israeli people.
53. to Beth Landau
charles ,   petach tikva   (11.16.06)
I fully agree with you , we have to combat terrorism . What i said , or wanted to explain , is that we have not to have joy when [ apparently ] very innocent people are killed by an error . And in many tb's here there is a kind of joy by those deaths in bet hanoun . And this is probably not what polls show .
54. Israelis mourn Gaza deaths
Michael ,   Australia   (11.18.06)
Only fools or fascists could equate the SS with innocent women and children.Congratulations to Israelis with the courage and humanity to place these obituaries.
55. We don't mourn for our enemies just as they do not mourn>>>
Sergei ,   Ashkelon   (11.20.06)
our deaths when they blow up innocent civilians. It's difficult to pity people who deny the Holocaust and teach their children to despise Jews and to become suicide bombers. They are the enemy, and its ridiculous to expect anyone to have sympathy for those who wish to destroy us.
