Why do you insist on mischaracterizing the opposition to gay marriage as an indication of hatred? Those who oppose on religous grounds such legal unions being called 'marriage', do so out of sincere motives. The religous don't hate gays. The religous simply believe that "marriage" is an institution ordained by God to be between a man and a woman. The immutable or unchanging nature of God is established in Scripture and accepted in Judaism and Christianity. God has not changed His mind regarding the practice of homosexuality, any more than He has decided that liars are acceptable. It has nothing to do with hate.
