Unfortunately, Israel's propaganda successes have always been way down simply because we do not have the funding to spend for PR the way the Arabs do. Anyone who visits here will testify that it is the best place to be.

Israel is constantly put at a disadvantage by a very hostile media throughout much of Europe and has to do more to combat the negative effects of such propaganda. But one would have to question a poll that would rank Israel according to the opinions of a country like Egypt, which is openly hostile and would be loath to admit that there's anything good about Israel. In fact, probably the only reason they said Israel ranks high in the fields of science and technology is because to do otherwise would make them look downright stupid.

Israel is the state of race, hate, and discremenation. I live in a city called Ramallah in West Bank and I am suffering from the Israeli Occupation on daily bases. Thanks to all the world who know that this is the state of oppression and occupation.

In their desperate effort to be like other nations,it has become worse.This has happend many times in our history.Like with the greeks,hellenistic jews. Now with with american domination, we are more selfish and materialistic then the americans. Any time we try to adopt the way of other nations we desintegrate and the nations hate us more. We have our own culture as put down in our written and oral laws handed down at mount sinai. Us as a people have the choice to folow those guidelines.We can choose the blessing or the curse (not my words,but hashems).The nations of the world understand this better then we do. If we continui in this way we will loose this amazing land again.Sinas chinam destroyed our tempel and place in this world and is still destroying us now. It hurts and fills me with sadness that we as a people never learn our lessons.

I work in Hasbara, and acknowledge there are areas which need improving, but ultimately if Israelis were a bit nicer to people, and I dare say each other, then we would at least have a better rep on a personal level.

Israel could, in all honesty, stand better PR, especially with respect to the constant barrage of Qassams, the tunnels, etc. etc. They're barely mentioned in passing. What is always disseminated at length are those #$#^% UN resolutions, and they do not mention to what Isreal reacted, but only how it reacted, making it sound as if Israel, just because it could, felt like it and because it was Tuesday, inflicted all these indignities on those poor Palis. Letting facts speak for themselves is one thing, but you have to get out those facts.

Having lived there for 18 years in the eighties and nineties and having seen the perception projected by BBC, Times Guardian etc and also knowing the reality to be different this is a problem Israel has long faced.Interesting that countries like South Africa and Indonesia Argentina were in there youre never gonna get a positive from them.
